Legendary Traveler: By Earning Progress Points I will Become Supreme!

Chapter 149 Returning To Terra

Laying in bed, with both his summons using him as a pillow, Aoni stared up at the newly created bedroom ceiling with tired eyes.

'I've done everything I possibly could, from crafting boxes that not only can fit inside my inventory but have massive internal storage as well, to stocking up on food for the girls and leaving detailed instructions for Nyria to follow in my absence.' Thinking about all the valuables he'd gathered throughout his clearings, Aoni's mind drifted a bit.

'For the most part, I've gathered everything I can sell outside…providing I don't get caught first, but that's where the backpack comes into play.'

Turning his head to the side and looking at the desk on the opposite side of the 10x10 foot bedroom, Aoni saw the leather backpack he'd crafted two days ago.

Unlike the one he'd been given before heading to Genovia, this one had an internal space roughly the size of his bedroom, and as a Grade-2 piece of equipment, it was fairly durable as well.

He planned to play this off as something he'd been lucky enough to summon from the Flume, and as such, the fact that it not only had good stats but also a dimensional space large enough to accommodate multiple times as much stuff should be considered acceptable.

Inside of it were a wide variety of items sourced from his Territory, from salt to Energia Crystals, along with several varying types of meat and creature materials.

Once turned in upon inspection, not only would he be rewarded in some stunningly lackluster fashion due to how mundane everything was, but there was a good possibility his Territory would be able to fly under the radar as a Low Priority.

And that was something he desperately wished for.

If it was proven his Territory didn't have anything of considerable value, then he'd basically get ignored and wouldn't receive any benefits; it would stay his, not a property of the government, and he could be considered a freelancer, just like his siblings were.

Basically, Aoni would be left to his own devices to grow and expand his simple land into something from which he could earn a minimum wage.

Sure, the title "Peasant or SalaryMan" would be attached to his name, but what did that matter? It wasn't like the Thurston family was well off in the first place.

'I was extra careful only to include basic stuff, nothing over 1-Star, yet that only solves one of my many problems, like how the hell I am going to avoid the TD inspection…' Turning his head back toward the ceiling, Aoni's eyes drifted to his Traveler's Display, which had seen quite a bit of change in the last couple of days.

That's right; everything that COULD be upgraded had been, which in turn caused an overall qualitative change in Aoni's abilities.

On paper, it was massive, but apart from the enormous spike in knowledge thanks to his passives, he couldn't really tell much of a difference.

Upgrading his stats to the peak of the E-Rank, of course, brought changes to his pain resistance, and overuse of his Ice Bullet and other self-created attacks drove not only his Ice Manipulation but Energia Manipulation higher as well. Unfortunately, this was as far as he could go, not because of lack of Progress Points, no that was something he could circumvent by hunting the swarms of monsters who at this minute were hacking away at the walls outside to no avail, but because he'd finally hit a wall with is Attribute's Grade.

'I don't know what else I can do; Austr and Vestr are maxed out, and all my stats are maxed out, along with Nyria and Glacia's stats. I've even gone so far as to upgrade anything I make as much as possible randomly, yet I can't seem to max out my second star.'

'The only thing I can think of is that I don't have enough summons, but with me leaving in the morning, I shouldn't even consider burning points to get more charges.'

Leaning his head to the side a little and feeling his birb's silky smooth feathers against his cheek, Aoni smiled faintly.

'Nyria is already going to have enough trouble on her hands keeping tabs on Glacia; adding more siblings to the mix would be a bad idea.'

'I really wish I didn't have to go; sure, I miss my family and everything, but I think I'd miss my floof and birb way more while I'm gone,' thinking about all he'd been through since becoming a Traveler, Aoni felt wrong leaving his summons behind, he was closer to them than any of his siblings, not that they ever really doted on him, or anything.

His Mom was a kind woman, but his father was as henpecked and horny as you'd expect out of a man who spawned as many children as he had.

'I really wish I could bring them back with me, but that's something only possible at higher levels of power, or at least that's how the story goes.'

Lost in thought, Aoni continued running through all the random thoughts that popped up in his mind, yet at some point, unknowingly, he finally drifted off to sleep.

---

"Okay, you two, this is it. I promise I will come back as soon as possible, Glacia; remember to listen to Nyria and be a good girl; if you do, I will have the most delicious foods and snacks for you when I return, and Nyria…" smiling weakly as he choked back tears, Aoni kneeled hugging both his summons tenderly.

He knew his words had been repeated hundreds of times over the last few days leading up to this, but it didn't stop him from worrying about the two.

"I love both of you so much; I know I don't really say that often cause it's sappy, but I am so thankful to have summoned you two," placing a kiss atop both of their heads, Aoni sniffled and pulled back noticing the tears staining his summons faces just like his own.

"It's only a temporary see ya later, got it? I'll be back before you know it."

Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmm

"I Gotta go, be good you two," understanding that the Flume was charging up and any delay would cause a radiation leak, Aoni frantically rubbed his eyes and shot his summons a bright smile.

"gaooo, *Sniffle*"

"*Sniffle Sniffle* Chee…"

'Love you, brother, take care.'

The moment he heard Nyria's words, Aoni almost stopped himself from saying the mental command to enter the Flume, but he knew that would only be delaying the inevitable, so he did what he had to.

'Return to Terra.' And with that, he was on his way.
