Chapter 1006 - 1005: Dance Together

Chapter 1006: Chapter 1005: Dance Together

Joy felt a surge of excitement as she watched Song Jie and Gu Huanhuan, both entering the center of the venue, where many couples were already dancing.

Song Jie wore a smile and, with an inviting tone, said, “Miss Gu Huanhuan, it’s rare to have this chance, would you honor me with a dance?”

Gu Huanhuan paused, truthfully, she wasn’t interested in dancing, especially with unfamiliar men.

But as Song Jie maintained his inviting posture, Gu Huanhuan felt overwhelmed and stuck in a difficult situation.

She steeled herself and then said somewhat embarrassedly to Song Jie, “Mr. Song, I’m sorry, but I’m really not very good at the waltz…”

Before Gu Huanhuan could finish, Song Jie interrupted, “No problem, I’ll lead you. I am quite the expert, you know? Back in school, I was even part of the dance club.”

Gu Huanhuan didn’t want to dance, but considering the recent spokesperson contract she had secured, refusing to dance seemed inexcusable.

She could only nod her head, “Then I’ll trouble you, but if I step on your feet, I won’t take responsibility for it.”

Gu Huanhuan added with a playful remark.

Song Jie flashed a handsome smile, “No worries, go ahead.”

At that moment, a light, emotive tune filled their ears, and Song Jie gently took Gu Huanhuan’s hand, gliding into the dance floor.

In fact, Gu Huanhuan had been modest; she was actually a dance expert. When they filmed movies, they often included dance sequences, so for them, dancing was child’s play.

However, since she was with a stranger and so close at that, she was indeed somewhat repelled and nervous, accidentally stepping on Song Jie’s foot twice.

“I’m sorry,” she said with an apologetic smile to Song Jie, playfully sticking out her tongue. @@novelbin@@

“It’s fine.” The pressure was so light he hardly felt a thing.

Many couples were dancing in the banquet hall, but theirs caught the spotlight; after all, one was a big-time CEO and the other a celebrity. They were both highly sensational figures, and should sparks fly between them, they could make headlines.

Song Jie danced with concentration, while Gu Huanhuan was indeed somewhat distracted, wondering why the music was so long and when it would end.

Their dance at the center of the banquet hall kept them from paying much attention to anything else.

Joy, seeing the two dancing so closely, was delighted and began recording with her phone.

Ha, such a delightful scene surely had to be shared—the more, the merrier!

However, that was, after all, her brother, so she only filmed when his back was turned to her.

As the song was about to end, Shen Yue finally couldn’t hold back. She repressed her anger and put on a forced smile, approaching Song Jie.

“Ah Jie, who is this…?” Shen Yue deliberately drew out her voice while softly resting her hand on Song Jie’s.

“Oh, this is Miss Gu Huanhuan, our company’s new endorser.” He then turned to Gu Huanhuan, “And this is Miss Shen Yue.”

Song Jie stopped dancing, and Shen Yue picked up where he left off, “Miss Gu, I have long admired your reputation. I am Song Jie’s fiancée, Shen Yue.”

Inside, Gu Huanhuan finally breathed a sigh of relief. So this was Mr. Song’s fiancée.

Her earlier thoughts had been so base, to think he was interested in her? She was really flattering herself too much.

“You flatter me, Miss Shen. You and Mr. Song make a handsome couple, truly a match made in heaven,” Gu Huanhuan quickly replied.
