Chapter 511: 508 Violent Conflict Incident

Chapter 511: Chapter 508 Violent Conflict Incident

After wolfing down three double-layer cheese thick fried chicken burgers, Bi Fang finally arrived at his own front door. He took out his phone and checked, but Jerret hadn’t replied to his message about having landed.

Looks like he’s asleep.

Jerret and his team had evacuated from Japan looking disheveled and utterly exhausted.

They had been waiting in the Magic Capital for several days, on one hand to regroup and, on the other, waiting for Bi Fang.

Having gotten in touch with Bi Fang, everyone was very happy, and the gloom hanging over their heads lifted somewhat, giving them a chance to breathe.

Now, just 24 hours later, Bi Fang hadn’t given them any advance notice about buying his ticket. They didn’t expect Bi Fang to arrive so quickly and had long since gone to rest.

...

“I’ll look at it tomorrow morning.”

With only five percent battery left on his phone, Bi Fang unlocked the front door, quickly plugged in the charger, and managed to prolong its life just before it shut down.

Dawn.

When he woke up early, there were more than ten unread messages in his phone, all from Jerret.

After sending his location and confirming the number of people, Bi Fang got up to wash and ordered breakfast for fifteen, waiting for Jerret and the others to come over.

Bi Fang thought he was mentally prepared, but when the doorbell rang and he saw the people with bruised noses, swollen faces, and bandaged bodies, he was still stunned.

Bi Fang exclaimed in shock, “How did you all end up like this?”

Those injured were wounded, those not injured had faces of sorrow.

Jerret sighed but didn’t dwell too much on the sadness. Nearly a week had passed, and everyone had mentally come to terms with it. At that moment, seeing a long-lost friend, they were still very happy and came forward to embrace Bi Fang. “My brother, I’ve finally seen you again. You’ve lost a lot of weight.”

“Come on in first.”

The situation seemed more serious than expected, so Bi Fang stepped aside to let everyone in, inviting them to the dining table to try the Chinese breakfast.

Seeing the pile of takeaway bags on the table, Jerret was somewhat moved and felt the warmth of human kindness again, “We’re only seven people, we can’t eat that much, you’re too polite.”

“No,” Bi Fang shook his head, moving a third of it towards himself, “These are mine, the rest are for you guys.”

Jerret was momentarily taken aback.

One person eating for five?

Could he manage it?

Of course, he couldn’t finish them all at once, but Bi Fang’s advantage was that his stomach digested food quickly. As long as he had enough time, he could keep eating. A meal for five would just take about an hour.

“I’ve been trying to gain muscle recently, so I need to eat more. I lost four kilograms in the Banna Rainforest, and I want to recover that quickly.” Bi Fang gestured for everyone not to be shy and to take a seat quickly.

Bi Fang’s dining room was spacious enough to accommodate seven big guys with room to spare.

Richard glanced at Jerret, waiting for directions. Of the seven people who entered, only Jerret, his photographic assistant Mond, their safety assistant Pondy, and Bi Fang knew each other; the remaining five were, strictly speaking, strangers.

Jerret nodded, pulled out the chairs, and pressed everyone to sit down one by one: “Don’t look at me, go ahead. He’s very easy-going, and Huaxia People are good-looking too. Try the Chinese breakfast. The buns are really tasty; I like the ones with preserved mustard and bamboo shoots.”

“Haha, I like that kind too,” laughed Bi Fang. “Don’t be restrained. I know why you’re here, and I’m happy to help if you’re willing to let me join.”

“You’re joining us?”

“Isn’t that what Jerret meant?”

“No,” Richard stammered, “I just feel, feel it’s unbelievable. Really grateful, truly grateful. For a big shot like you, oh, no, I mean, it’s fantastic that you’d join us.”

Who knows what these people had gone through, but right now, Richard was nearly incoherent.

“First, let’s have breakfast. If there’s anything to talk about, the dining table is the place. It’s a custom of us Huaxia People. But I have no alcohol here, only sweet soy milk.”

Jerret laughed, “You’re still the same as before.”

“Come on, it’s only been just over a month since we last met. You climbed Mount Everest with me in April. Go ahead and tell me what happened, and about the injuries on your bodies,” Bi Fang was eager to know the full story.

Jerret sighed, not immediately starting with the trip to Japan, but first, he introduced everyone present.

First was the core member of the team—Richard.

He too was a well-known figure.

Richard had spent ten years creating Dolphin Kingdom, and he was the world’s leading authority on dolphin acoustics.

The dolphin show “Flipper”, which he had founded, became widely popular in the Ugly Country, beloved by children there, and when asked about their future aspirations, those kids would invariably answer without any hesitation, “Marine Biologist.”

Richard brought dolphin shows into the public eye, making more and more people fall in love with these magical and adorable creatures—dolphins.

That was until an event that led Richard to undergo a complete transformation.

In the “Flipper” show, a dolphin named Casey, who had been with him day and night, ultimately chose to commit suicide in his arms.

No one loved these dolphins more than Richard, who loved them as Elvan loved geese. Their affection and experiences were almost identical.

The death of Casey brought a great shock to Richard, to the extent that he was willing to be arrested in order to release the dolphin Brown, which he had once captured himself, and thereafter dedicated himself to dolphin rescue missions around the world.

As aquariums and dolphin shows flourished worldwide, Richard swore to personally destroy this entertainment industry he had helped create, spending the remainder of his days in this quest.

When Jerret reached this point, Richard sighed and interjected, “The smile of a dolphin is nature’s greatest deception, giving you the mistaken belief that they are always happy.”

Richard was not one of those dog lovers who demanded everyone stop eating dog meat simply because they liked dogs; rather, he was quite rational.

Are dolphins born more noble than pigs and cows?

Of course not.

The fundamental reason he went to such lengths is that dolphins are simply not suitable for human consumption.@@novelbin@@

The bodies of these sea spirits are rich in mercury, far exceeding safety standards, and consuming too much dolphin meat can have a significant impact on the human body.

The second reason is due to the high intelligence of dolphins. On this planet, their intelligence is second only to humans. Their brain weight is nearly the same as humans, at around 1.5 kilograms.

Even the genetic overlap with humans is incredibly high, leading some to speculate that dolphins and humans share a common ancestor. However, because dolphins live in water and cannot evolve hands like humans, they cannot create tools, thus halting their path to a higher level of evolution.

To Richard, eating dolphins was no different than eating chimpanzees—it was a matter of form versus essence.

Moreover, it’s like a toxic, enhanced version of a chimpanzee. Under these circumstances, Richard simply could not comprehend why those perverted feet basin people were obsessed with this, to the point of committing slaughter.

Could it be that after trying it once by accident, their brains became deformed?

The unabated massive development of the world’s shipping industry, along with various other marine pollutants, had already threatened the survival of dolphins, and now they faced rampant slaughter.

Richard simply could not remain indifferent, especially after discovering the appalling practices at Dolphin Bay.

Jerret nodded and then began to introduce the remaining members of the team, nearly all of whom were gathered by Richard, including Jerret himself.

When Richard heard that over 20,000 dolphins were slaughtered in Dolphin Bay each year, and after witnessing it personally, he invited his good friend, the world’s top wildlife documentary director and the face of the Discovery Channel, Jerret, to help him shoot a documentary as evidence to expose everything under the sun.

Jerret, who had just finished filming Mount Everest with Bi Fang and was also a nature enthusiast, couldn’t remain indifferent to his friend’s righteous request. He packed his gear and, along with his photographer Mond and equipment assistant Hypeck, set off on the journey.

Oh, and there was also Pondy, an old acquaintance who played the role of bodyguard.

These three people were almost invariably part of Jerret’s preferred team.

Due to the nature of the filming environment, it was impossible for Jerret to bring too many people; doing so would have made it too easy to be exposed, so a four-person team plus equipment was enough.

Among the remaining four, two divers were responsible for underwater filming: Ganna’s diving champion Mandy Ray Cruickshank and diving instructor Keke Clark, both talented individuals Jerret recruited from the Adventure Channel.

Then, there was an electrical expert who provided a high-speed power system to keep the cameras running at maximum capacity; he also created unmanned drone models for the shoot.

The last member was Beck, Richard’s own hired bodyguard and assistant, responsible for everyone’s safety, just like Pondy.

Richard anticipated that this trip would not go smoothly, but he never imagined it would be such a disaster, nor did he expect the Japanese People’s monstrous cruelty.

“So, the nine of you have now become seven? Where are Hypeck and Beck?”

A sudden concern crossed Bi Fang’s mind. The first seven people Jerret introduced were all accounted for, but the last two were missing.

Bi Fang didn’t know Beck, but he was familiar with Hypeck, having seen him several times. He hoped the tragedy of the past life wouldn’t repeat itself.

Jerret sighed, but thankfully, his next words put Bi Fang at ease as he learned about the general course of events.

Hypeck, who had been filming in secret, was discovered and beaten by local villagers, but fortunately Beck noticed in time to rescue him, charging in and saving his life, though Beck was severely injured in the process.

Currently, both men were lying in a hospital in Huaxia’s Magic Capital. Even though they were initially rescued in Japan, Richard did not trust to leave them there. Ignoring the doctors’ advice, he had them transferred to the closer Huaxia.

“The ground was covered in blood, Hypeck was struggling and convulsing on the floor, and if not for Beck’s desperate rescue, Hypeck might not have made it back,” said Jerret.

After obtaining the medical report, Richard nearly collapsed. With multiple fractures and internal bleeding, a slight delay would have meant certain death. Hypeck had not yet regained consciousness but was out of critical condition.

Beck was in a similar state. As a retired professional boxer, he knew how to protect his vital areas, but even so, he still suffered multiple fractures and injuries.

As for the villagers who beat them.

According to the local police, there were no surveillance cameras, no evidence, and the only potential evidence, the camera, was trampled. Such injuries could very well be the result of mutual fighting between two people, unrelated to the local population.

“MOTHER*******”

Uttering this, Jerret’s language was shocking. At that moment, he truly wanted to show the police officer what a real brawl looked like.

Even after that, a more terrifying event occurred: Richard’s car was bombed.

The flames soared into the sky.
