Lord of the Time: I Can Reincarnate Infinitely

Chapter 527 527: Training Ki

As the sun crept over the horizon, casting a golden glow on the land, Caleb and the Ant King started their day by the riverside. The waterfall roared in the background, a constant, soothing sound that seemed to wash away the remnants of night.

First on their agenda was a refreshing bath in the waterfall. They approached the cascading water, which crashed down into the pool below, sending up sprays of mist. Caleb plunged in first, the cold water making him gasp as it enveloped him. He splashed around, jokingly pretending to be a fish swimming upstream. The Ant King, not to be outdone, used his new abilities to form a small whirlpool, swirling around Caleb and making him laugh.

After their playful bath, they moved on to breakfast. Caleb caught a couple of fish from the river with surprising ease, thanks to his enhanced reflexes. The Ant King, using his Ki, ignited a small fire by concentrating energy into a tiny, focused beam, which set the dry twigs ablaze. They skewered the fish with sticks and held them over the fire, grilling them to perfection. The aroma of cooking fish filled the air, mixing with the earthy scents of the forest.

As they ate, they joked about who caught the bigger fish and teased each other about their cooking skills. The Ant King, enjoying the use of his new abilities, demonstrated how he could control the intensity of the fire by absorbing some of the heat, making the flames dance under his command.

They talked about their plans for the day, deciding to explore more of the surrounding area. Caleb was curious about the different creatures and plants they might find, while the Ant King was keen to test out his evolved powers further.

...

Caleb and the Ant King settled down near the riverbank, the gentle burble of water setting a calming backdrop for today's lesson: Ki manipulation training. The Ant King began to explain the basics.

"First, we'll start with meditation. It's the simplest way to connect with Ki without any special items," the Ant King said, positioning himself to demonstrate. "You need to sit like this, legs crossed and hands on your knees, palms up." He showed Caleb the posture, making sure he mimicked it correctly.

"Now, close your eyes," the Ant King continued, "and focus on your breathing. Take slow, deep breaths. Inhale through your nose, hold for a moment, then exhale slowly through your mouth. Try to clear your mind of all thoughts."

Caleb followed the instructions, feeling the cool morning air fill his lungs. "Concentrate on the sensation in your body," the Ant King instructed. "Ki feels like a warmth or a tingle. Imagine it as a light or energy flowing through you, starting from the ground up through your spine." Find adventures at My Virtual Library Empire

Caleb sat quietly, his brows furrowing in concentration. After a few moments, he felt a faint warmth in his palms. Surprised, he opened his eyes and looked at the Ant King.

"I think... I can feel something. Like a small warmth in my hands," Caleb said, a hint of excitement in his voice.

"That's it! That's the Ki!" the Ant King exclaimed, clapping his hands. "You're sensing the energy. That's an excellent start. Most folks take months to get to this point. You're doing it in just seconds!"

Caleb smiled but then frowned slightly. "I can sense it, but I can't seem to do anything with it. It's like it's there, but I can't grab it."

"Don't worry," the Ant King reassured him. "Absorbing Ki into your body and using it takes time and practice. You're already way ahead of the curve just by sensing it so quickly. Keep practicing the breathing and the focus. Your body will learn how to draw it in naturally."

Encouraged by the Ant King's words, Caleb closed his eyes again, returning to his breathing and the warm sensation in his hands. He was determined to master this new skill, feeling motivated by his quick progress. The morning passed quietly as the two of them continued the training, with Caleb slowly deepening his understanding of Ki.

...

Throughout the day, Caleb focused intensely on his meditation under the watchful eye of the Ant King. Every now and then, the Ant King would point out small errors—like Caleb tensing his shoulders or losing the rhythm of his breathing.

"Relax your shoulders more, and keep your breathing steady," the Ant King suggested gently. "Imagine the Ki flowing like water in a stream, smooth and uninterrupted."

By the fifth day, something clicked for Caleb. As he sat meditating by the river, he finally felt a surge of warmth that spread from his hands into his arms. It was different this time; he didn't just feel the Ki, he was drawing it into himself.

"I did it! I'm absorbing it!" Caleb exclaimed, his face lighting up with a mixture of surprise and pride.

The Ant King laughed joyfully. "I knew you could do it! You've got a natural talent for this, no doubt."

Caleb shared an epiphany he had during his practice. "I realized I was trying too hard to force it. When I just let myself feel the flow, without pushing, it started to work."@@novelbin@@

The Ant King nodded, slightly puzzled by the simplicity of the insight yet attributing it to Caleb's unique capability. "It seems you're naturally attuned to the Ki's flow. That's a rare trait."

The next two months saw Caleb training rigorously. He would start at dawn, practicing the Ki breathing techniques and then experimenting with applying the energy. He'd often be seen lifting heavier and heavier rocks with his Ki, gradually increasing the challenge.

"Look at this!" Caleb would say, showing off by lifting a large boulder using Ki. "Last week, I could barely move it an inch!"

The Ant King, always nearby, watched Caleb's progress with a mix of pride and amazement. "You're advancing faster than anyone I've ever seen. Keep at this rate, and you'll be a master of Ki!"

Though, the ant was somewhat confused why Caleb was training when he was strong enough to fight level 4 monsters even without it.

Their days were filled with hard work and laughter, the bond between them strengthening as Caleb grew in power. Each evening, they'd sit by the fire, discussing the day's progress and making plans for the next.

"It's all thanks to your guidance," Caleb would often say, appreciative of the Ant King's guidance while ant would say that its not a big deal. After all, Caleb was the reason that he managed to reach level 3.
