Chapter 30: Chapter 28: Journey to Luoyun Mountain 2 Chapter 30: Chapter 28: Journey to Luoyun Mountain 2 Qin Qin left the hotel and headed straight for Luoyun Mountain, as she needed to hurry and roam through it completely.

“Little girl, are you going to Luoyun Mountain for sightseeing?” the taxi driver started a conversation with Qin Qin during the ride.

Qin Qin nodded.

“Young lady, if you are going to visit Luoyun Mountain, you better not go inside, just enjoy the sights from the outside,” the taxi driver quickly advised.

Qin Qin looked at the taxi driver with confusion. “What do you mean by that?”

“Ah, you must be an outsider and not aware of the legend that there’s a man-eating monster on Luoyun Mountain. Many people who didn’t believe went in and never got the chance to come out. Being a young girl all by yourself, you should stay even further away.”

Qin Qin gave the driver a smile and thanked him, “Thank you for the warning.”

She didn’t tell the taxi driver that she had to go into Luoyun Mountain this time; even if it was through a sea of flames, she had her space. Even if she really encountered something she couldn’t handle, she could hide in her space.

After getting out of the taxi, Qin Qin disregarded the taxi driver’s warnings from behind and headed straight for Luoyun Mountain.

“Ah, the young girls these days really don’t care about their lives, they actually don’t take my advice,” the taxi driver shook his head and sighed. Just after he sighed, he saw two army-green Land Rovers approaching from a distance.

Six men got out of the cars, and they were all holding guns. The taxi driver was so frightened that he quickly drove away, thinking to himself about the oddity of today’s Luoyun Mountain with so many people going in. It was truly bizarre, hoping that these people were fortunate.

“Captain, are Black Panther and his three men really hiding in there?” Ah Ji walked up to Jiang Qingtian and asked.

Jiang Qingtian was holding a tracker and nodded, his phoenix eyes fixed on the tracker where three flashing red dots could be seen, “Yes, everyone be careful not to startle the grass and spook the snake.”

Their primary mission this time was to wipe out Black Panther, the biggest drug dealer within the country.

Since the news was leaked, Black Panther and his two most trusted subordinates escaped and even dared to flee into the uninhabited Luoyun Mountain for fear of being captured. The police in Ning City didn’t dare to enter Luoyun Mountain; thus, they had to request the Falcon Special Forces to step in. Fortunately, an undercover agent had installed trackers on the three men, which allowed them to pinpoint their whereabouts. It was uncertain whether to say those three were lucky or what, but after hiding in Luoyun Mountain for several days, they had managed to survive. To prevent them from escaping, the special forces had to capture them quickly, and if they resisted, they were to be shot on the spot.

Of course, Qin Qin knew nothing about this; even if she did, she would still need to enter.

Choosing an easier path, Qin Qin managed to gather quite a few herbs along the way, although they were all common medicinal materials. Thankfully, being wild, their medicinal properties were decent. Qin Qin didn’t disdain them and threw the herbs directly into her space, instructing the small creature Xiao Fong within to plant them.

Rustling noises reached her ears, and Qin Qin’s expression grew stern. She stopped her herb-picking actions and stood up vigilantly, looking towards the side, “Come out!”

“Whoosh…” With a sound, a white figure darted out of the nearby bushes like lightning, leaping onto a huge tree and disappeared from sight.

Qin Qin chuckled, no longer paying attention to the fleeting figure, and once again lowered her head to look at the plant beneath her feet. It was a young Wild Ginseng. Although not as valuable as Ginseng, it was still quite good. She carefully dug it out and then threw it directly into her space.

At this moment, a round white head peeked out from the dense trees, a pair of dark and lucid eyes looking puzzled. It had clearly seen her digging something up, so how could it disappear in an instant? Where was it?

Qin Qin stood up, clapped her hands, then turned to look at the figure hidden in the tree. The figure, realizing it had been spotted, reflexively tried to hide inside the tree, with its head just retracting into the trunk when, shortly after, it popped its head back out, gazing at Qin Qin with sparkling eyes. It liked the scent on her, so nice and pleasant to sniff, truly lovely.

Qin Qin smiled at the little creature in the tree, “It’s a White Fox.” And what’s more, a rare Spirit Fox. From those human-like eyes, she could tell that the Fox had opened its Spiritual Aperture. Having spent a long time in this mountain filled with Spiritual Energy, absorbing plenty of it, it must have awakened its Spiritual Intelligence, albeit slight, unable to speak like Xiao Fong.

“Of course, it can’t. Xiao Fong is a Divine Beast, whereas this one… barely qualifies as a Spiritual Beast,” whined Xiao Fong’s disparaging voice beside her ear.

Qin Qin shook her head and laughed to herself. She couldn’t help but feel her Divine Beast was feeling jealous!

The Spiritual Beast, White Fox, cocked its head, not understanding why this human was laughing for no apparent reason.

Qin Qin spread out her right hand, and a bunch of grapes, purple to the point of being nearly black, appeared in her hand. The White Fox’s eyes widened, and it took a step back. It seemed to have encountered such a strange human!

“Go on, eat. I’m not a bad person!” Qin Qin plucked a grape and tossed it into her mouth. She had to admit, the produce from her space was of top-notch quality and incredibly tasty. Even when she was among the elite of the elite, she had never tasted anything as delicious. These grapes, larger than ordinary ones, tasted more than twice as good, making her mouth water with their sweetness and leaving her eager to taste another, until she regretfully finished them all.

The Spirit Fox’s eyes went wide, and a suspicious liquid drooled from its mouth. In the next moment, it could no longer resist and leapt forward, snatching the remaining grapes from Qin Qin’s hand and began gobbling them down on the ground.

Qin Qin watched the adorable little thing with a smile, unaware that Xiao Fong in the space was already staring wide-eyed at the Spirit Fox eating grapes.

Doesn’t this little creature understand that its master is Xiao Fong’s?!

In a matter of seconds, the Spirit Fox polished off the grapes in its paws, even taking the time to lick the remaining juice off its claws with yearning eyes still fixed on Qin Qin.

Qin Qin burst into laughter, tossed another bunch of grapes to the Spirit Fox, then ignored it to concentrate on searching for herbs in the underbrush. So far, she had collected over twenty kinds, mostly common herbs with just two or three rarer ones. She was not quite satisfied with her progress as she aimed to find more precious herbs.

Eventually, Qin Qin found a rather valuable Golden Thread Grass among the underbrush and let out a pleased smile, tossing it into her space as well.

Gazing out at the endless expanse of Luoyun Mountain, Qin Qin was ready to venture deeper, as there seemed to be even more precious herbs further inside.

After finishing the grapes, the Spirit Fox raised its head and looked at Qin Qin with a dopey face. The next moment, it leaped in front of her, hopping and chirping excitedly, pointing its claw in a certain direction before running ahead, then stopping to look back at Qin Qin, as if beckoning her to follow.
