MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1407: Going Above and Beyond

"System, I would like to ascend."

Ding!

[8,726,979 XP has been consumed. You are now Level 41.]

[As you have ascended to a higher class, your VIT to HP coefficient has changed from 1:18 to 1:24.]

[As you have ascended to a higher class, your INT to MP coefficient has changed from 1:18 to 1:24.]

[Please select the species and class you would like to ascend with.]

Whoosh!

Listening to the string of notifications that went off in his mind, a faint smile appeared on Valyr's face as he briefly took a glance at them.

After that, he shifted his focus onto the two screens that appeared before him, both of which contained considerably long lists for someone at his class rank.

————

Please select the species you would like to take as your Rank 3 species:

Reforged Esper

Reforged Mystic Human (3rd Unsealing)

Mystic Esper

Mystic High Human

True Arcane Spirit

True Mana Spirit

[Note that the chosen species would have 'Junior Defier of Fate' attached to them.]

————

Having already asked the system to arrange the list according to which suited him the best, the young man's gaze did not linger on the list for too long.

Scrolling a couple of times through the entire list to satisfy his curiosity, his attention soon landed on the first six choices the system gave him, with one of them already set to be his final decision.

"Huh." Glancing at his first species choice, Valyr's eyes slightly widened in surprise. "To think the system would give me the opportunity to jump straight to Esper."

"Now that just reminds me of what happened during one of my ascensions on the other identity."

Considering that he practiced the Records in both identities, the young man wasn't too surprised that the system would give him the option to choose a species that was an entire tier above his current one.

However, unlike the time where he'd been given the option to become a True Human, Valyr felt his thoughts sway a little as he noticed how the option to become an Esper was placed above his original choice.

Then again, as he thought about it for a bit more, the young man felt that it made sense.

Having gained the ability to fully tap into the power of their souls, Espers were considered to be a step above High Humans in terms of their innate talent.

Though this talent usually manifested in the form of telekinesis, Espers were also renowned for their greater ability when it came to comprehension.

With the system giving him the option to choose the species' Reforged version, then that meant his telekinesis and his comprehension ability would be far better than normal Espers.

"Haah…" Nevertheless, the young man still stuck to his first choice in the end, being reminded that he'd cut off the possibility of his species becoming stronger if he were to do so.

Ding!

With him choosing to continue on the path of Unsealing for his species, Valyr then shifted his attention towards the list that contained his class choices.

————

Please select the class you would like to take as your Rank 3 class:

Emissary of the Arcane (Mythic — Growth)

Sage of the Myriad Arcana (Mythic — Pseudo-Growth)

Embodiment of Arcana (Mythic — Pseudo-Growth)

True Saint of Arcana (Mythic)

Supreme Arcana Elementalist (Mythic)

Mage of True Arcana (Legendary — Growth)

————

"Wow." Though he wasn't too surprised by the first choice the system gave him, the same could not be said for the choices that came after it.

"All of them have something to do with Arcana," murmured Valyr to himself, inwardly thanking his past self for deciding to focus on the scripture before ascending.

Taking a look at these classes one by one, the young man noticed how most of these classes leveraged the quality of Arcana to a great degree, allowing him to cast spells of greater might at a lower cost.

Although he found all of these classes intriguing in their various applications of his newly obtained Lesser Arcana, the young man knew that he'd have to take the first choice in the end, especially if he were to consider the promise he made with Arcane.

"Then again, I technically obtained four Growth-type classes as a class choice," said the young man with a slight smile, nodding in satisfaction.

"That's a lot more than I was expecting."

Whoosh!

With both his species and his class now set, the young man soon felt a surge of energy course throughout his body, causing him to briefly feel as if he had gained the ability to cut the world in half with just a simple chop.

However, before he could act upon this feeling, Valyr fell unconscious not long after that, allowing the system to do its work.

"I'm surprised Valyr is faring better than I thought."

Within the far-flung reaches of the universe, both Adam and Eve looked at the screen in front of them with interest.

On it was a young man that had recently fallen unconscious, his current pose making it seem like he'd been sitting cross-legged beforehand.

"To think he'd be able to manage two identities at once without any issue," murmured Adam as he faintly nodded. "For someone that's not even a Myth, that's actually pretty amazing."

"With his current ascension, he's only one rank away from having both his identities match levels." As these words left her mouth, Eve had a look of anticipation and excitement on her face.

"You think he'd appreciate the skill changes the moment that happens?"

"Who knows?" The man shrugged his shoulders, only to then grin a few seconds later.

"But it's highly likely that it's the change that he's been looking for, especially with how he has to juggle back and forth between the two."

"Valyr's ascension aside, Azazel sent me a few interesting bits of information from the Desolate Universe."

"Seventh did?" Eve's eyes widened in surprise. "Is there a problem with the expansion of Greater Beyond or something?"

"That's not it." Adam shook his head. "Greater Beyond is expanding well. You've seen how Earth's inhabitants are enjoying it, right?"

"…What kind of information is it, then?"

"A representative from a large group of native Myth and Divine-level beings made contact with Azazel just recently," replied Adam, his expression solemn. "They call themselves the Realm of Myths."

"What do they want?" asked Eve in curiosity, not having expected such information to come from Azazel.

"They want to learn our methods of converting plasma into crude mana," said the man, briefly scratching the back of his head.

"In exchange, they'll help us proliferate the existence of Greater Beyond through something called the Norse Pantheon."

"…Did the representative tell Azazel who they were?" asked Eve after mulling over it for a bit, beginning to feel like there was more to Valyr's universe than they initially thought.

"They did." Adam nodded.

"He told me that the representative's name… was Odin."
