Chapter 180: 180, Thrilling Mountain Top (2)_1 Chapter 180: 180, Thrilling Mountain Top (2)_1 “Hmm, yes, eating. What about you?”

Elsewhere, in the private room of Qianshi Restaurant, Han Yue and Quan Mingxuan looked at the man on the opposite side, who was busily chatting on the phone, and sneered dismissively.

Just because they were single and without a girlfriend, and here he was, flaunting his relationship! So inconsiderate!

Jian Qing keenly heard the voices of two others on the phone, and smiled lightly, “Are Han Yue and Mingxuan with you too?”

Quan Jingwu glanced casually at the two chatting on the other side, and hummed in acknowledgement, “Darling, do you know about the special meaning of the red ribbon?”

“What?” Jian Qing wondered how quickly he guessed that it was the red ribbon from the Hidden Orchid Temple and found his level of humor disappointing!

“Write the name of the person you like on the red ribbon. It signifies that one will only love and marry that person in their lifetime.” He said slowly, his deep voice imbued with an irresistible magnetism.

Jian Qing’s delicate emotions stirred. Had she unknowingly committed herself mistakenly?

His voice returned, laced with hidden laughter, “Darling, are you hinting that I should propose to you soon?”

“Overthink much?!” Jian Qing retorted.

As the two chatted breezily, Jian Qing remembered Snowball, who was alone at home. She had forgotten to prepare lunch for Snowball this morning.

“Xiaojing, did you prepare lunch for Snowball this morning?”

Song Xirou lowered her head, her heart sinking when she recalled what Jian Qing had just said.

She had always paid close attention to everything about him – how could she not know about Snowball, the snow wolf.

He was living with her now. How could this be?

With her lips tightly pursed, trying to hide her distress, she pretended to scroll through Facebook on her phone.

Quan Jingwu chuckled softly. While she was always mindful of Snowball’s needs, she seemed not to pay the same attention to him. “Yes, we will definitely not let that chubby ball go hungry.”

Snowball whimpered in protest: “Owner, am I not your favorite anymore? Are you calling me fat? Your Wolf King refuses to admit it!”

Upon hearing his comforting words, Jian Qing laughed and casually ended the call.

By this time, food was served, quickly filling the table with various dishes.

While Song Xirou had little appetite, everyone else seemed satisfied with their meal.

After lunch, they were in no rush to leave as the surrounding area was perfect for a leisurely stroll.

Around the Hidden Orchid Temple, there was a small hill with a pavilion for rest at the top, providing a panoramic view of the surroundings. It offered a completely different experience.

With plenty of time, Quan Yifei and her companions slowly climbed the hill, which consisted of winding paths and staircases, seemingly without an end in sight.

Giving due consideration to Granny Quan’s health, progress was slow and measured. When they eventually neared the pavilion atop the hill, almost an hour had passed.

“Please, don’t hit my daughter. Please stop.”

“You old fart, who do you think you are? Why should we listen to you?”

“Haha, boss, this chick is rather pretty.”

The disruptive noises from the top of the hill piqued the interest of Quan Yifei and others. Jian Qing quickened her pace and took the lead.

Upon reaching the final step, Jian Qing’s charming face hardened at the sight of the conflict in the pavilion. Her clear eyes brewed a metaphorical storm.

“Jian Qing, what’s wrong?”

As Quan Yifei approached, she noticed Jian Qing just standing there, frozen, and inquired with concern. Following Jian Qing’s gaze, her own face turned icy as well.

These people were no better than beasts.

Inside the pavilion, three burly young men were beating up a middle-aged man in his sixties. Another man was pinning down a woman who appeared to be about thirty. Her clothes were ripped and disheveled, and one of her sleeves was torn.

The middle-aged man had a bruised face and was curled up on the ground. Fresh blood seeped from the corner of his mouth, but nonetheless, he continued to plead with the young men.

“You can hit me as hard as you want. Just don’t touch my daughter, I beg of you.”

“Help me, please!” The woman noticed Jian Qing and the group, and cried out desperately for help.

The four young men noticed Jian Qing and the others, and a lecherous smile played on their faces. “Well, look at the beauty that just showed up.”

The ringleader shoved the middle-aged man aside and signaled to his accomplices. With lecherous grins, they moved towards Jian Qing and her companions.

“Beautiful, how about having some fun with me?” The man bared his yellow teeth – it was a sight to induce queasiness.

“Boss, grab the one in black.” The remaining men seemed eager to act, their lustful eyes locked onto Jian Qing, saliva almost dripping from their mouths.

Quan Yifei was incensed and moved to protect Jian Qing. “You bunch of beasts belong in jail. You deserve to rot there.”

The crooked-eyed man smirked dismissively and cracked his knuckles. “Lovely lady, it’s an honor even to die beneath a peony. Rest assured, you’ll have your turn soon.”

Jian Qing’s icy gaze swept over the four men. She pulled Quan Yifei back, “Yifei, go take care of Granny Quan and the others.”

She had some understanding of Jian Qing’s capabilities and assumed that her mediocre skills would be more of a hindrance.

“Alright, take care of yourself.”

After speaking, Quan Yifei led Granny Quan and the others away.

“Yifei, will Jian Qing be in danger?” Rhee asked anxiously.

Quan Yifei replied confidently, “Probably not. My second brother said he might not even be a match for Jian Qing.”

Although her second brother didn’t serve in the military, he had been trained from a very young age and even spent three years in harsh military conditions with her elder brother. If Jian Qing could surpass him, dealing with these four men shouldn’t be a problem.

Despite her reassurance, Rhee and Granny Quan were still worried and kept a close watch on Jian Qing. Rhee tried dialing Quan Jingwu’s number but found that there was no signal in the area.

This ordeal was nerve-wrecking!

Song Xirou stood quietly behind Granny Quan, an eerie glint appearing in her eyes as Rhee struggled to make a call.

If these four men could eliminate Jian Qing, it would solve her problems perfectly.

“Gorgeous, I’ll treat you well.” The man cracked his fingers, preparing to launch himself at Jian Qing.

“Little Qingqing!” Rhee gasped with fear.

Jian Qing’s clear eyes turned icy as she clasped the man’s hand, mid-flight with her own, not even blinking as she twisted it violently.

Almost simultaneously, she lifted her leg and kicked savagely at the man’s vulnerable midsection.

“Ah—”
An anguished cry echoed through the air as the man crashed heavily to the ground, sending up a cloud of dust. He felt as if his ribs were broken.

He squirmed on the ground, groaning in pain, unable to get back on his feet.
