Chapter 60: Chapter 60 The Rabbit Now Has Equipment! [Please Follow]
Yi Zheng reacted extremely quickly, instantly jumping into the bushes to hide, his hands pulling his ears down to his chest, stealthily peering out through the gaps in the thicket as six people approached.
The leader was a swordsman, a man not necessarily handsome, but his eyes brimmed with boundless confidence.
A heavy armor warrior with a shield in tow exclaimed, “Luo Kang boss, impressive! These monsters are like chicks in your hands, easily handled.”
Luo Kang sheathed his longsword and said indifferently, “They’re just small fry, easy to kill once you’re familiar with their attack patterns. But the BOSS here has quite a foul mouth, huh? Always cursing. Did it do the same when you guys came last time? Could it be a madman?”
The heavy armor warrior shook his head, “Last time we were here, it wasn’t this talkative. It was rather mysterious, maybe the BOSS has been replaced? By the way, boss Luo Kang, the great hall where the BOSS resides isn’t very large, and it has a skill that attacks the whole screen; the entire hall is within its attack range. That’s how we got wiped last time.”
Luo Kang said, “With me here, it won’t be able to use that skill, let’s go.” @@novelbin@@
Luo Kang moved forward.
A female mage whispered to the heavy armor warrior, “Brother Xiong, if the Sect Building Order drops, are we really giving it to him?”
Xiong Li replied with a wry smile, “What else can we do? We’ve been fighting this BOSS for two days; you know how difficult it is. With more and more Reincarnation Players and the third test about to start, everyone is crazy about leveling to get ahead.
This BOSS can’t be hidden for much longer.
Better to do it this way than to let the big guilds take it later and not even get a sip of the rewards.”
At that point, Xiong Li added in a low voice, “Besides, you’re overthinking it; it’s not easy to get the Sect Building Order to drop. He said he only wants the Sect Building Order, and the rest would be ours.”
The female mage thought about it and nodded, “That’s true, but I wonder if he’s up to it.”
An archer, holding a longbow, said, “If he could drop the first Sect Building Order in the entire region, he must have some tricks. Let’s see how it goes; we’ll profit if he succeeds, and if not, there’s nothing we can do. But what about this little mage you found? Way too timid, screaming at the sight of a mouse…”
Having said that, the archer looked disdainfully towards the last one in the team, who was glancing around furtively, almost as if afraid a monster might leap out from the bushes.
The female mage replied, “We had no choice; everyone else was out hunting monsters, and it’s hard to find helpers. The BOSS can fly, so melee fighters wouldn’t be of much use. We’re just trying our luck; worst case scenario, they can serve as bait to distract the BOSS.”
The archer considered this and nodded, then urged everyone to keep up, “Hurry, keep up!”
Then they all quickened their pace to catch up with Luo Kang, who was gradually moving further ahead.
The female mage at the back of the group was short, her forehead covered in cold sweat, her complexion somewhat pale. She walked very lightly, taking small but quick steps, moving almost like a ghost gliding across the ground.
Her eyes were constantly darting around, especially scrutinizing places like bushes and thickets, and then she noticed something white amongst the foliage. She cautiously moved closer.
Yi Zheng hadn’t expected to be discovered; it was clearly too late to run. At this critical moment, a mischievous smile crossed his eyes, and he promptly put on the mask and wore the black cloak, grasping what looked like a burnt stick of a magic wand and employed the Floating Technique.
The next moment, the girl saw something pitch-black floating up from the dark thicket, a black cloak fluttering with the wind. The figure slightly lifted its head, revealing two blood-red eyes shining through the darkness!
A hoarse voice came, “Little girl, do I look more like a human or a god to you?”
“A ghost!”
The girl screamed and ran for her life, her speed so fast that Yi Zheng seriously doubted she was a mage!
“You’re the ghost, your whole family is ghosts! Haven’t you ever seen a jaundiced ghost before?!” Yi Zheng called out, but she only screamed louder, “A ghost!”
Yi Zheng shook his head, then pulled out a shiny, well-polished great sword to use as a mirror. Yi Zheng was just too small, and the robe was too large, leaving a large portion hanging in mid-air. The mask was quite bizarre; when worn, it resembled a cluster of darkness or a cloud, opaque, only showing his eyes.
He bared his teeth, but the bright gleam of his canines was obscured by the darkness, making them completely invisible.
Yi Zheng came to a conclusion, “Really like a ghost, huh…”
But Yi Zheng didn’t care about that, as long as he could conceal his identity!
“That’s right, this is fitting for the image of the Evil Rabbit King! Not bad, not bad at all, quite excellent. I have a new identity now, wahahaha…” Yi Zheng was extremely happy, but what made him even happier was that these two pieces of equipment actually had attributes!
Item Name: Cloud Mask.
Level: Tier One
Category: NPC Prop
Item Function: The cloud cover conceals your face, making you appear more mysterious and sinisterly terrifying.
Item Name: Hermit Robe
Level: Tier One
Category: NPC Prop
Item Function: Blocks all detection and identification from Detect and Identification Skills.
Looking at the attributes of these two pieces of equipment, Yi Zheng burst into laughter; these items were simply perfect for him!
He hurriedly grabbed the magic wand that looked like a fire poker to have a closer look…
Item Name: Fire Poker
Level: None
Category: NPC Temporary Prop
Item Function: Originally a piece of withered wood, later used by a goblin to make a fire. After that, having grasped the true essence of magic, he used it to pose as a magic wand, just for show.
Smack!
Yi Zheng slammed the fire poker to the ground, cursing, “Dammit, it really is just a fire poker! Blah, I can’t believe I carried it this far. Is my strength worthless?”
After complaining, Yi Zheng looked at his Resentment Value.
To his surprise, next to the 400 points of Resentment Value, there was a new line showing Fear Value!
Fear Value 200!
Yi Zheng guessed that this must have come from the timid girl he encountered earlier. His skill description did say it absorbed negative emotions, meaning not only Resentment Value but negative emotions including fear, disgust, greed, and more…
Upon realizing this, Yi Zheng said with all earnestness, “From today onwards, if I do even a little good deed, then I’m not a person!”
In fact, ever since he had been categorized as a Wild Monster, he had no intention of being a good rabbit, so he didn’t feel any aversion to this kind of path at all.
Now that he had six hundred points of negative energy, he definitely couldn’t upgrade Fire Control Technique, but upgrading Identification Skill should be no problem.
He took out the Identification Skill’s Skill Pearl and then slapped a hundred points of negative emotion crystal directly onto the Skill Pearl.
What do you think?
