My Blood Legacy: Reincarnated as a Vampire

Chapter 478 Duel between Kings

The answer Dante received was silence.

No pleas. No warnings. No movement.

Those damned giants truly thought they could ignore him.

His smile vanished, replaced by a cold, indifferent gaze.

"Very well…"

The energy already vibrating around him intensified, turning the atmosphere suffocating. The sky darkened into an abyssal black, rumbling in response to the overwhelming power Dante emanated. The ground beneath him began to crack under his sheer might, as if the world itself was bowing to his presence.

He opened his draconic maw, and in an instant, a sphere of energy condensed in his throat. Blue and purple swirled together, electricity crackling around the growing orb as it accumulated enough power to erase an entire army from existence.

The giants had no idea what they were about to face.

And honestly, Dante didn't care.

"DRACONIC NOVA."

With an earth-shattering roar, he unleashed the attack.

A blast of pure destruction erupted from his mouth like a beam of absolute annihilation. The blinding light consumed everything in its path, reducing the landscape to nothingness. The surrounding mountains shattered like fragile glass. The ground split open into monstrous chasms, swallowing anything nearby.

And the wall?

It didn't just crumble.

It was ERADICATED.

A mere fraction of a second was all it took to turn the giants' grand gate into dust. The once-impenetrable black stone blocks were now nothing more than ashes dancing in the wind. The impact generated such an absurd shockwave that buildings within the Giants' Realm trembled as if struck by an earthquake.

And then, silence.

Dante walked slowly through the smoldering wreckage, his draconic form retreating until only his human silhouette remained. His gaze pierced through the mist of destruction as he stepped into the giants' territory, unhurried and unshaken.

If they refused to open the gates for him…

He would carve his way through with his own hands.

The silence that followed the devastation was shattered by a roar of pure fury.

"DAMN YOU, OUTSIDEEEER!"

From the ruins of the gate, a group of giants came charging forward. Each step they took made the ground tremble, their voices echoing like thunder amidst the chaos. They wore crude black iron armor, forged for brutal warfare. In their hands, they wielded colossal spears and swords—massive, crude weapons, yet lethal enough to annihilate any lesser foe.

The first to advance was a gray-skinned giant with a braided beard, his eyes burning with hatred as he raised an enormous harpoon.

"DIE, ACCURSED DRAGON!"

With surprising agility for a being of his size, he hurled the weapon. The harpoon tore through the air like a thunderclap, aimed directly at Dante.

But the hunter didn't even blink.

At the last moment, he sidestepped almost casually. The harpoon crashed into the ground behind him, burying itself dozens of meters deep.

Dante raised an eyebrow.

"Hm… at least you're trying."

Another giant charged forward—this one far larger than the first. His skin was a dark shade of blue, his exposed chest covered in scars. He wielded an enormous war hammer, studded with jagged metal spikes.

"I'LL CRUSH YOU LIKE AN INSECT!"

The strike came down with enough force to obliterate a mountain. The impact shattered the earth, sending a shockwave of dust and debris into the air.

But Dante was no longer there.

In the blink of an eye, he appeared on the giant's shoulder, casually sitting as if he had just settled into a comfortable couch.

"Nice effort, but… way too slow."

Before the giant could react, Dante raised a single finger.

"Explosion."

A surge of pure demonic energy detonated in the giant's face. His head snapped backward, and his entire massive body toppled like a felled tree, crushing parts of the surrounding structures beneath him.

The others hesitated for a second.

"EVERYONE, ATTACK AT ONCE!"

More giants emerged from within the kingdom. Six, ten, fifteen of them. Each wielding a different colossal weapon—spears, chains, massive blades forged from raw metal.

Dante smirked, cracking his fingers as his black aura began to expand.

"Perfect. Now this is getting fun."

The giants charged forward like an avalanche of pure rage and brutality. Each of them was a mountain of muscle and fury, brandishing weapons powerful enough to obliterate entire cities. But Dante?

He only smiled.

"If you're so eager to die…"

He flexed his fingers, and his dark aura exploded outward like a hurricane. The ground beneath him cracked. The air grew dense, charged with an overwhelming energy that made even the giants hesitate for a brief second.

And then, he moved.

BOOM!

Dante vanished.

The first giant, a massive brute with brown skin and glowing eyes, didn't even have time to react. In an instant, Dante was right in front of him, his hand cloaked in pulsating, black energy.

"Burst."

He touched the monster's chest with a single finger.

BOOOOOOOM!

The giant's body EXPLODED from the inside out. Blood and entrails were sent flying in all directions as the creature let out an agonized scream before being reduced to nothing.

The others froze for a second, shocked.

Dante simply licked his lips, satisfied.

"Next."

Two giants roared and attacked together. One swung a massive chain, trying to crush him with sheer force, while the other brought down an enormous blade, attempting to cleave him in half.

Dante sighed.

"Too slow."

He leaped back, dodging the chain with effortless grace. At the same time, the giant with the blade swung down, shattering the ground with a seismic impact.

But Dante was already on his shoulder.

"Goodbye."

He raised his hand and drove his fingers into the giant's skull.

CRACK!

With a single motion, Dante ripped the entire head off the monster. The giant's body wavered before crashing to the ground like a collapsing skyscraper.

The other giant tried to retreat.

Too late.

Dante appeared behind him in a blur of speed.

"Heart. Crush."

His hand pierced the giant's chest, grasping its still-beating heart. The creature's eyes widened, unable to even utter a sound before dropping to its knees.

Dante squeezed.

SPLAT!

The heart burst in his hand, and the monster's lifeless body slumped forward.

The remaining giants stared at him, their eyes filled with pure terror.

They understood now.

This wasn't a battle.

This was a massacre.

Dante, drenched in the blood of his enemies, spread his arms wide as if he were savoring the moment.

"Do you still want to continue?"

One of them, an older warrior, gripped his blade tightly and spat on the ground.

"You can kill us… but you will never subjugate us!"

Dante narrowed his eyes.

"Oh? Then how about this?"

He snapped his fingers.

"Dragon's Dominion."

A colossal pressure descended upon the battlefield. The air grew heavy, as if the very world itself was bending its knees before him. The giants felt their bodies TREMBLE against their will. Their knees buckled. Some collapsed to the ground, crushed under the mere presence of Dante.

Those still standing had wide, terror-filled eyes.

"Th-This… is impossible…"

Dante stepped up to one of them, gripping the giant's face with a single hand.

"Last words?"

The giant couldn't answer. He wanted to scream, to fight back, but his body refused to obey.

Dante smirked.

"Goodbye."

He closed his fingers.

CRACK!

The giant's skull shattered like a rotten fruit.

The others finally understood.

They never had a chance.

Pure terror overtook them. Some tried to run.

But Dante simply raised a hand and clenched his fist.

"Don't move."

As if bound by invisible chains, every remaining giant froze in place, their bodies refusing to follow any command.

Dante rolled his shoulders, stretching.

"Now then…" He licked his lips, staring at the survivors like a predator before helpless prey. "Time to finish the job."

The echo of the massacre still reverberated through the Giant's Kingdom when a booming voice cut through the air.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT, YOU BASTARD?!"

Dante looked up, his bored expression shifting into a predatory grin as he saw the colossal figure standing atop a mountain of stone.

The King of the Giants, Orion, gazed down at the destruction below, his burning eyes filled with fury. He was larger than any other giant present, his muscles appearing forged from solid steel, his body covered in countless battle scars, and on his back rested a titanic battle-axe. His presence was intimidating, overwhelming even—but to Dante, it was nothing but entertainment.

Wiping the blood off his hands with indifference, Dante finally answered:

"Your cowardly son. I came to collect our debt."

Orion's face twisted with rage. He clenched his fists, cracking the stone beneath him with the mere pressure of his muscles.

"You dare invade my kingdom… slaughter my people… and still have the audacity to speak of debts?"

Dante chuckled, tilting his head. "He tried to kill me first. You know how this works, right? I'm a generous guy… I could've let it slide. But guess what?" His grin widened. "I'm not."

Orion's eyes burned with pure hatred. He ripped his battle-axe from his back and pointed it directly at Dante.

"Forki Dolafor is not here! You came for nothing, you damned wretch!"

Dante laughed under his breath, shaking his head. "Not my problem. If your son is coward enough to flee and leave you to face me instead…" He spread his arms. "Then maybe I should kill you in his place."

The entire kingdom trembled. The surviving giants turned to their king, awaiting his response.

Orion roared, slamming his battle-axe against the ground with an impact that shook the mountains.

"If it's battle you seek, then a battle you shall have, vermin!"

Dante's smirk deepened.

"Now things are getting interesting."

And then…

The true duel began.
