Chapter 119 True Skeleton King II
Back in their room, Leon studied the map intently. "According to this, we need to gather the heads of the four generals of the King."
"The Sword General, the Spear General, the Bow General, and the Mage General," he continued. "Each of them was a powerful warrior, rivaling the strength of kings in their own domains, and the Mage General was even said to be a Grand Magus in Sun Magic."
"They must have all turned into undead by now," Leon said thoughtfully. Roselia and Roman nodded in agreement.
"Let's see if there's any information about their locations," Roselia suggested.@@novelbin@@
"The map and the book Theodore gave us don't mention their exact whereabouts, so it's likely common knowledge in this area," Leon said, closing the book. The three of them nodded, resolving to gather more details before setting off.
"Let's first check out the Association and see if there's any information or quests about these generals," Leon said, and the others nodded. Together, they set off for the Quest Hall, where quests were typically posted.
The hall was bustling with adventurers of all levels, discussing strategies, trading gear, and poring over the quest boards. The air was filled with the clinking of armor and the low hum of chatter.
Leon led the way, scanning the various boards labeled by difficulty. Most of the quests were typical—monster exterminations, material gathering, and escort missions. However, nothing directly referenced the generals they sought.

"Nothing specific here," Leon said, frowning. "But let's ask around."
Roselia approached the counter and addressed the clerk, a sharp-eyed woman in her mid-thirties. "We're looking for information on undead-type quests of SSS rank or higher. Do you have anything?"
"We do, but those quests are already taken," the clerk replied.
Leon leaned forward. "Can you tell us who took them?"
"It's not a secret," the clerk said, flipping through a ledger. "Four powerful parties are competing to claim the rewards from those four powerful undead revenants. Each of them is a top guild in the Imperial City, boasting over 30 limit-level members, along with many others close to that level."
"Limit level?" Leon asked.
The clerk nodded. "Yes, as you likely know, the limit level for this floor is 80. These guilds exclusively recruit members with classes above rare rank and a minimum A-rank potential."
Leon rubbed his chin in thought. "Which of these guilds is the weakest?"
The clerk hesitated before answering. "The Thunder Slammers. Recently, a team of five of their limit-level players perished. That leaves them with only 25 limit-level members, significantly fewer than the Wise Griffins, Pride Dragons, and Graceful Phoenix guilds, all of whom have over 30."
Leon smirked, a glint of cunning in his eyes. "Perfect. We'll approach the Thunder Slammers. If they need extra hands, we'll join their raid. In return, I'll negotiate for the revenant's head."
Roselia crossed her arms, her lips curving into a sly smile. "Sounds like a plan. And if they fail, we can clean up after them."
Roman chuckled. "Sounds messy, but effective. Let's get moving."

In the quieter part of the Imperial City, the area exclusively controlled by the Thunder Slammers was a mix of bustling activity and tight security. Despite its relative newness, the guild had carved out a stronghold under the leadership of Brook, a young man whose rise to prominence had been meteoric. Barely a few months since his arrival, Brook had forged a powerful guild that rivaled the long-established ones in the city.
Now, however, Brook found himself in a predicament. Sitting in his office, he stared at the parchment before him, detailing information about the Sword Revenant. He sighed heavily, running a hand through his messy blond hair.
"What should I do?" he muttered, his voice low but filled with frustration.
The Sword Revenant was no ordinary foe. Undead revenants were near-perfect beings, embodying the traits they had in life while gaining monstrous powers from their transformation. Their bodies were nearly indestructible, and their strength often surpassed their former selves. The guilds had drawn lots to decide who would raid which revenant's lair, and Brook had ended up with the Sword Revenant—a challenge he knew would push his guild to the edge.
"Damn those tricks. If it weren't for those sneaky tactics, I'd have dealt with them myself," Brook grumbled, gnawing on his thumbnail. He was fully aware of the dangers ahead. The Sword Revenant's lair was a death trap, and while he could count on his own strength to survive, he wasn't so sure about his guild members. Worse, failure would paint a target on him, inviting mockery or even sabotage from the other guilds.
His mind raced. Should he reach out to others? Seek reinforcements? But doing so could expose his own guild's weakness and embolden his rivals.
"Damn it. What should I do?" Brook muttered again, leaning back in his chair, staring at the ornate ceiling above him. His frustration was palpable.
Just then, a knock sounded on the door, followed by a familiar voice. "Sir Brook, there's a party here requesting to meet with you."
Brook sat up straight and turned his gaze toward the door. His secretary, Yelena, entered—a striking woman with fiery red hair and sharp green eyes. Despite her slightly disheveled appearance, she carried an air of competence that Brook relied upon.
"What did you say?" Brook asked, narrowing his eyes.
"There are three limit-level adventurers requesting to join us. They said they're interested in participating in the Sword Revenant raid," Yelena explained, adjusting her glasses as she studied Brook's reaction.
Brook's eyebrows shot up. Limit-level adventurers were rare, and their interest in joining his guild—especially for such a risky raid—piqued his curiosity.
"Bring them in," he ordered, his tone shifting to one of cautious interest.
Yelena nodded and turned on her heel, heading out to fetch the unexpected visitors. Brook leaned back in his chair again, his mind working quickly.
"This might just be the break I need," he mused, a small smirk forming on his lips.
What do you think?
