Chapter 137 New Companions

Myrazar's Forgotten Legacy (Skill Tome)

A leather-bound tome containing the secrets of Myrazar's life before he became the True Skeleton King. Reading it would unlock a unique skill: "Slumbering Might", which granted immense bursts of power after periods of stillness, allowing the user to channel energy into a devastating attack or spell.

Leon examined the items carefully, his mind racing with possibilities. Each one was valuable, not just for himself but also for his team. He knew their journey would only grow more challenging, and these treasures could turn the tide in future battles.

"Not bad," Leon muttered, a small smile creeping onto his face. "The King sure lived up to his title."

He packed the items into his inventory and began preparing to leave, eager to regroup with the others and distribute the spoils.

Leon returned to find Roman still locked in fierce combat with the Queen. The battle raged on, with neither side showing signs of relenting. Leon stopped in his tracks, observing the intensity of their clash. His gaze quickly shifted to Roman, who was bruised but standing strong.

"Dammit, this guy Roman is made of stone," Leon muttered under his breath, impressed by his companion's endurance.

His eyes then drifted to the Queen. Her clothes were torn, revealing her flawless, porcelain-like skin. Being a Duke Vampire, her beauty was otherworldly, and now, with much of her grandeur exposed, her allure was undeniable. Only a few scraps of fabric clung to her figure, accentuating rather than concealing.

The Queen noticed Leon's arrival and turned her attention to him. With a sudden realization, her expression shifted. "Wait!" she called out, her voice sharp yet graceful. Roman paused mid-strike, his weapon hovering in the air.@@novelbin@@

The Queen snapped her fingers, and her tattered garments regenerated in an instant, covering her fully once again. Unlike before, however, her attire was simpler and free from the heavy embellishments of battle. She now radiated an ethereal charm that seemed to glow even brighter. Her eyes locked onto Leon, and she began walking toward him.

Leon instinctively took a step back, unsure of her intentions, but she continued her advance until she was mere inches away. Slowly, the Queen knelt before him, her graceful movements captivating in their elegance.

"Millim Gravis, at your service," she said with a soft, melodic voice. "I greet the new King."

"Ehhh?!" Leon exclaimed, caught completely off guard.

Millim smiled faintly, a hint of red touching her cheeks.

It took some time for Leon to understand the situation. After some explanation, the pieces began to fall into place.

Millim and her two maids were powerful undead who had been imprisoned by the Skeleton King in his living days. Once free adventurers, Millim and her maids had been captured and enslaved by the King, forced to serve him against their will. Though compelled by absolute commands to prevent intruders from reaching him, they discovered a loophole: as long as they themselves were engaged in combat, others could proceed.

Over the millennia of their imprisonment, they had allowed three others to pass through, but none had succeeded in defeating the Skeleton King. After eons of this cursed existence, the Skeleton King's death marked their liberation. Millim explained that she was not a queen in truth but a once-proud adventurer who had been reduced to a mere guard for the King's lair.

She now knelt before Leon, swearing allegiance to him as her true master—the one who had vanquished the abominable King and freed her from her eternal servitude.

"This... this is the situation now," Leon muttered to himself, trying to process the sudden turn of events. Roman stood nearby, clearly baffled but unwilling to question the unexpected development.

Millim rose to her feet, her expression calm and resolute. "I will serve you with unwavering loyalty, as will my maids," she declared. Behind her, the two maids appeared, bowing their heads in submission.

Leon sighed, scratching the back of his head. "I guess I don't really have a choice, do I?"

Millim's smile deepened. "None at all, my King."

"Okay then, I free you," Leon said casually, his tone steady but firm.

Milim's eyes widened in shock. "Huh?" she exclaimed, unable to hide her disbelief. Her two maids, who had remained silent until now, also turned to Leon with questioning gazes, confusion etched on their faces.

"You said it yourself," Leon continued. "You were imprisoned for over a million years. You guys surely had enough of that. This is your chance to go outside, experience the world on your own, or climb the Tower and carve out your own destiny."

The room fell silent. Milim and her maids exchanged uncertain glances, the weight of Leon's words slowly sinking in.

After a moment, Milim broke the silence, looking at Leon with a determined expression. "I want to be your concubine," she declared, her voice resolute.

Leon froze, taken aback. "Sheesh," he muttered under his breath. "Look, I'm grateful for the offer, but listen..." He trailed off as Milim suddenly stepped closer, her fiery red eyes locked onto his.

"Aren't I beautiful?" she asked, her voice softer now but laced with confidence. Her posture shifted, highlighting her flawless figure. Her curvaceous form, ample in all the right places, exuded an irresistible allure. Milim was undeniably breathtaking—arguably even more captivating than Angelica, the angel seductress Leon had encountered before.

"You are," Leon admitted, his gaze meeting hers. "Actually, you might be the most beautiful woman I've met so far. But... this isn't about love or attraction. What you're feeling now is gratitude. You're grateful for being released after a million years of imprisonment. That's not the same as truly wanting to be with someone."

Milim hesitated, her bold demeanor faltering for a moment.

Leon stepped forward and extended his hand to her. "How about this? Travel with us for a while. Get to know the world outside. After a few years, if you still want to be my woman, I'll gladly accept you."

Millim and her two Maids looked at the outstretched hand of his.
