Location: U.A. High School – Gymnasium
Izuku Midoriya stood among his classmates, his heart pounding in his chest. The gymnasium buzzed with nervous energy, but he did his best to push it aside. Today was the Quirk Apprehension Test, and his abilities would be put to the test. This was the moment to show what he was capable of, even though he was still figuring out how to fully control his quirk.
Aizawa stood in front of them, his tired eyes scanning the students with little emotion. His voice was flat and unamused as always.
“You’ll be tested on a variety of different physical skills, each one designed to measure how effectively you can use your quirk,” Aizawa said. “Fail this test, and you’ll be sent home.”@@novelbin@@
Izuku’s stomach churned. He had to prove himself. He had to show everyone that he wasn’t just some weakling. He clenched his fists, taking a deep breath.
The first event was the softball throw.
Softball Throw
Izuku watched as Bakugo stepped forward with his usual confident grin, ready to show off. The Explosion quirk that Bakugo wielded was devastating, and there was no doubt that he would blow away the competition. Bakugo hurled the ball with a ferocity that made the air around them crackle. It shot into the sky like a missile, landing 800 meters away. The class stared in awe at the result, but Izuku tried to ignore it. He couldn’t afford to get distracted by Bakugo.
Now, it was his turn.
Izuku swallowed hard and took the ball in his hands. He had to use his wind sword. It was the only way to make up for the lack of strength he had. He focused, channeling the air around him, concentrating on the ball, and releasing a gust of wind to propel it as far as he could.
The ball soared through the air, the wind guiding it further than his own strength ever could. It landed with a solid thud, and Izuku exhaled in relief. He glanced at the scoreboard.
“Distance: 700 meters,” Aizawa read out.
Izuku’s heart swelled with a sense of accomplishment. It wasn’t at the top, but it was a solid result. He was far from Bakugo’s level, but he wasn’t as weak as he feared. He could still improve.
50-Meter Dash
After the softball throw, the next test was the 50-meter dash. Izuku’s legs felt heavy as he watched his classmates prepare. The race would measure their speed, and with One For All not yet at full strength, he wasn’t sure how fast he could go.
Izuku stepped up to the starting line, his breath coming in short bursts. His palms were sweating, but he had no choice but to give it everything he had. The moment the signal was given, Izuku surged forward, using his wind sword to boost his speed. The wind swirled around him, propelling him faster than his legs could manage on their own.
He pushed himself to the limit, his heart racing as the finish line came into view. The moment his feet hit the mark, he stopped and gasped for breath, panting heavily.
“Time: 3.4 seconds,” Aizawa read, his voice unchanged.
It wasn’t as fast as Bakugo, but it wasn’t bad either. Izuku’s legs felt like jelly, and he realized just how much energy he had expended. Still, he was glad to have made it through without falling behind.
Standing Long Jump
Next up was the Standing Long Jump. Izuku watched as the other students took their turns. Some were impressive, leaping effortlessly across the sand. Others struggled, but it didn’t matter. What mattered was how he
would do.He took a deep breath, focused on his feet, and jumped forward with all his strength. As he leaped, the wind sword behind him kicked in, giving him that extra push he needed to make it farther.
“Distance: 6.5 meters,” Aizawa read with little interest.
It wasn’t a world record, but it was a decent result. Izuku felt a little winded but relieved that he hadn’t made a fool of himself.
Shuttle Run
The final event was the Shuttle Run. This test required speed and agility, and Izuku was determined not to fall behind. As the whistle blew, he sprinted across the floor, using his wind sword to give him bursts of speed. His heart pounded in his chest as he made the turns, trying to conserve energy while pushing himself to the limit.
When the final whistle blew, Izuku collapsed to the floor, breathing heavily. The strain was starting to get to him, but he had done his best.
“Time: 15 seconds,” Aizawa said.
Results
After the events were finished, the students gathered around as Aizawa began reading the results. Bakugo’s performance had been outstanding, as expected, but Izuku was happy with his own results. His performance might not have been the best, but it was more than enough to prove that he belonged here.
Izuku looked around at the others. Todoroki, Uraraka, and the others had all given strong performances. Despite not being at the top, Izuku felt a sense of camaraderie with his classmates. Everyone was doing their best, and that was all that mattered.
As the students made their way back to the classroom, Izuku couldn’t help but feel a mix of excitement and anxiety. The first day had been intense, but he knew this was just the beginning. There would be more challenges ahead, but he was ready to face them.
He looked at the others in his class, feeling a sense of determination building inside him. “I’ll become a hero,” he thought to himself. “No matter what, I won’t give up.”
This version focuses entirely on Izuku Midoriya’s perspective while keeping the events from the original manga intact. His actions, thoughts, and reactions are the main focus, and the other characters are referenced in terms of their performances without any additional POV.
