CHAPTER 2: The Entrance Exam and First Day at U.A.

Location: U.A. High School - Entrance Exam

The morning sun cast a warm glow over the grounds of U.A. High School, where Izuku Midoriya stood, feeling a whirlwind of emotions. The Entrance Exam was about to begin, and all around him, hopeful students chattered nervously. He was no different—his nerves were palpable. Despite being reincarnated with Elemental Dominion—a power to control both Wind and Fire—he still wasn’t sure how much he could rely on it. But today was about proving himself.

Unlike his first life, he wasn’t a quirkless boy. Now, he had abilities far stronger than most. But in this world, quirkless or not, he knew he couldn’t afford to act recklessly. He had to use his powers strategically.

Izuku glanced around, his eyes landing on Katsuki Bakugo, who stood with his usual fiery intensity, his hands sparking with explosions. Then there was Ochaco Uraraka, who looked a little nervous, yet determined. Shoto Todoroki stood apart, calm and collected, a stark contrast to the others. They were his competitors, but also potential allies on his journey toward becoming a hero.

The air was thick with the energy of the exam, and the announcement finally came over the loudspeakers.

“Attention! Welcome to the U.A. Entrance Exam! Your first task will be the Robot Battle! Points will be awarded based on your ability to destroy the mechanical robots scattered across the field. The more robots you defeat, the higher your score. However, be careful—there are both small and large robots. The large robots yield higher points, but they are far more dangerous. Remember, your actions will determine your future as a hero!”

Izuku’s heart raced, but his focus remained clear. Strategize, he reminded himself. The exam wouldn’t be won with brute force alone.

Location: U.A. High School – Exam Battlefield

The gates to the battlefield opened with a mechanical groan, and the sound of students charging forward echoed in the distance. Izuku quickly followed the other students, gripping his Dual Swords—the Flame Sword and Wind Sword—as they materialized in his hands.

The field was a vast, open area, scattered with debris, obstacles, and the looming shadows of the robots. Some were small, barely taller than Izuku himself, while others, the Robot Gs, were massive and dangerous.

Izuku didn’t hesitate. Fire and Wind were his primary tools, but this time, he had to act carefully. The robots were coming in fast, and he couldn’t use his powers recklessly or overexpose himself. His plan was to control the situation—swiftly dealing with smaller robots before taking on the bigger threats.

As a small wave of robots rushed at him, Izuku drew his Wind Sword, and with a slash, he sent a burst of air toward the incoming robots. They were thrown off balance, tumbling into each other.

He followed up with a Flame Sword strike, sending a concentrated fireball toward a robot’s core, instantly disintegrating it. Points flashed above the broken metal as the score began to pile up.

“Points awarded: 50”

Izuku quickly moved to the next group. As he darted from one robot to the next, he made sure to avoid wasting energy. Wind Sword slashed through the air, creating powerful gusts that knocked enemies into the air, while the Flame Sword cut down the larger robots with precision.

His style was efficient—using his wind to redirect and manipulate the battlefield while using fire for direct destruction.

He noticed Bakugo charging toward a Robot G, explosions erupting from his hands as he blasted it to pieces. A few feet away, Todoroki encased robots in ice, effortlessly freezing them in place before shattering them with a quick punch.

Izuku couldn’t help but feel a growing sense of determination. He was no longer a powerless kid. He had the potential to surpass even the strongest heroes.

Suddenly, a loud mechanical whirring sounded as the Robot Omega appeared, a massive machine towering over the landscape. Izuku’s mind raced as he saw its massive form lumbering forward. Robot Omega would require coordination and strategy. As he glanced around, he saw Bakugo already charging forward, hurling explosions, while Todoroki

used his ice to slow the massive robot down.

Izuku understood. They needed to finish this quickly.

With a burst of wind, Izuku launched himself into the air and began to rain fire upon the Robot Omega. The Flame Sword cleaved through its exterior, but it was tough. Izuku summoned a massive wind tornado around the robot, disorienting it, then followed up with a full blast of fire, sending the robot crashing to the ground in flames.

“Points awarded: 100.”

Izuku landed, breathing heavily but with a sense of accomplishment. He had done it. He didn’t use everything he had, but he had made it through. This was only the beginning.

Location: U.A. High School – Results

After the exam, students gathered in the waiting room, waiting for the results. Izuku couldn’t help but replay his every move, wondering if he’d done enough. The wait was agonizing, but soon enough, Aizawa entered the room.

“Quiet down,” Aizawa’s voice was blunt, as always. “The results are in. I’ll announce the names of those who passed.”

One by one, he read out the names. Finally, he called out Izuku Midoriya.

“Points: 72. You’re in.”@@novelbin@@

Izuku’s heart swelled. He had passed.

Location: U.A. High School – First Day of School

The first day at U.A. High School was more formal than he expected. The students filled the classroom with excitement, and soon, Aizawa entered, his tired eyes scanning the room.

“Sit down,” Aizawa ordered. “This is your first day as U.A. students, so let’s start with what it means to be a hero. It’s not about being flashy or winning popularity contests. It’s about saving people. Your time here will be difficult. Many of you will fail. Only the ones who keep pushing forward will make it.”

Izuku felt the weight of his words. This was the beginning of his journey—a journey he would not walk alone. He had made it into U.A. High, but now, the true test began.
