Chapter 566: The Misunderstanding and the Dirty Mind of the Elf Girl
The young Elf girl nervously gulped, a hint of fear in her eyes.
She hadn't expected the man before her to be so powerful.
With a single punch, he had knocked down the four-meter-tall wolf.
Even more intimidating was the giant dragon avatar that had appeared behind him, exuding an overwhelming and domineering aura.
With its massive jaws, the wolf was torn apart, blood splattering everywhere.
If she said she wasn't surprised and frightened, it would be a lie.
Yet, remembering that the man had helped her, she quickly pushed those thoughts aside and slowly rose to her feet.
Her legs, though weak, began to regain strength, and the pain had lessened.
Perhaps it was because the looming threat, the black wolf, was now completely destroyed.
Her gaze returned to Leon's broad back, and she bowed her head in respect.
"Um... Sir, thank you," she said, her voice trembling.
Her hands were slightly clenched, betraying her nervousness.
Just moments ago, she had feared being devoured by the wolf, never expecting someone to come to her rescue.
Upon closer inspection, she realized the man wasn't an Elf—he was human.
For her, who had never encountered a human before, this was an unnerving experience.
She couldn't help but wonder if he might harbor ill intentions now that he knew she was an Elf.
After all, that was what the elders had always warned her about.
Leon turned around and looked at the Elf girl.
Just as he was about to speak, his gaze unintentionally fell on her exposed body.
Her pale skin was flawless, and her figure could only be described as perfect.
Her chest was slightly fuller than expected for someone her age, and her slender waist seemed just the right size to be held in one hand.
Most noticeable, however, was the green underwear covering her lower half.
If he were a man driven by lust, he might have taken advantage of the situation.
Fortunately, Leon was not the type to be easily stirred, except when it came to the women he loved.
"Ahem!" Leon cleared his throat and quickly turned his gaze away. "Miss, I appreciate your thanks, but could you cover yourself, please?"
The girl stood frozen, her eyes wide as she looked down and realized she was half-naked!
Her face instantly turned red like an apple, and a white smoke seemed to emanate from her head.
"I-I'm sorry!" She cried out in panic as she crouched down and covered her chest with her crossed arms.
Leon took a brief glance and noticed that despite her attempts, some parts of her body remained exposed.
With a sigh, he shook his head and stepped closer to her.
As Leon approached, the girl trembled in fear. She squeezed her eyes shut, her mind racing with worry. "What does he want? Is he going to attack me, like the elders warned?"
Lost in her thoughts, Leon stopped right in front of her and pulled a white robe from his magic ring.
He gently unfolded it and draped it over her, covering her body.
"Don't worry, I won't hurt you. I happen to have some spare clothes. Use them to cover yourself," he said, his voice calm and reassuring.
Feeling the warmth of the robe, the girl opened her eyes and looked at Leon in surprise.
"You... you're not going to eat me?" She asked, her voice tinged with doubt.
Shouldn't the plan be for this man to overpower her and devour her, as her grandmother had warned?
But everything felt different.
Leon was taken aback, furrowing his brow as he tried to make sense of her question.
Then, his eyes widened, and the corners of his mouth twitched with amusement.
"Eat you? What are you thinking, little girl?" He asked, his tone tinged with irritation as he flicked his finger at her forehead.
"Ouch!" she groaned softly, rubbing her forehead.
Tears welled in the corners of her eyes as she glared at Leon in displeasure.
"Why did you flick me?"
Leon straightened, crossing his arms over his chest. "That was punishment for your wild thoughts. What kind of human do you think I am? If I had a dirty mind, I wouldn't have bothered with the robe—I'd have eaten you on the spot."
Letting out a long sigh, he rubbed his temples in frustration.
He couldn't understand why this young Elf girl had such strange thoughts.
Was that really what their elders had taught them?
Wasn't that a bit outrageous?
The young girl was taken aback. She suddenly realized she had misunderstood her savior, and embarrassment washed over her.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't mean it that way!" She repeatedly bowed her head, filled with regret.
Leon casually waved his hand. "Never mind, there's no need to panic. I understand your situation."
The girl let out a relieved sigh. Hesitantly, she slowly lifted her head and looked at Leon's handsome face.
"So handsome... Even more handsome than the handsomest Elf in my village..."
She swallowed, feeling her face flush.
In her earlier panic, she hadn't fully paid attention, but now that she saw him clearly, she couldn't help but admire him.
"If he were to eat me... maybe it wouldn't be so bad," she thought wildly.
The moment that strange thought crossed her mind, her face turned so red it felt like she was radiating heat.
Leon stared at her in silence. Although he couldn't pinpoint her exact thoughts, it was clear she was imagining something strange.
The change in her expression said it all.
"Young master!"
A loud exclamation rang out from the left.
Leon turned to see Elina rushing toward him, her round face pale with distress.
When she was about a meter away, Elina bent over, panting, and gripped her knees.
"Young master... You... You're really cruel! You left me behind!" She stammered, her gaze full of annoyance, anger, and dissatisfaction.
As they hurried toward the source of the cry for help, Leon suddenly released her hand and vanished from sight.
This left Elina stunned and panicked. The Forest of Eternal Silence was teeming with terrifying monsters, and without Leon, she didn't dare remain alone.
Fortunately, they weren't far from the source of the sound. However, Elina still had to run for several minutes to reach it, which was exhausting.
Leon looked a bit embarrassed but tried to maintain his cool.
"Ahem!" He cleared his throat softly and walked over. Ruffling Elina's hair, he said, "Sorry, Elina. I was in a hurry when I heard someone calling for help."
He gestured to the young Elf girl. "See, if I'd been a second too late, she might have died."
Elina turned toward the girl—who happened to be looking at her as well.
The two locked eyes, and after a few seconds, their expressions shifted to one of shock.
"Elina!?"
"Nana!?"
What do you think?
