Chapter 105: A Sun and Water for the void Domain
—
Five years ago, when everyone able to feel the overwhelming surge of spiritual energy, we called it the first spiritual wave. Out of nowhere, about 30% of the world's spiritual energy was restored. Everyone was able to Cultivate. The path of Cultivation began for everyone from that point.
After that, the past five years of spiritual energy recovery were slow as a turtle. But a few days ago, suddenly that number skyrocketed to 60%. Now, that recovery level of 60% is what we're experiencing—we call it the second wave."
Jade's voice grew more intense as he continued, "In the ocean, this second wave triggered the appearance of a new land or you could say a new continent. It might be a ruin or a pocket dimension that suddenly opened up. Along with it, hundreds of Level-B creatures emerged, turning that area into a red zone. We simply don't have enough manpower to secure it. That sea monster you encountered? It fled from that area, terrified of the new continent's unknown forces."
Kent listened intently, feeling the weight of Jade's words settle in. The idea that the world's spiritual energy had surged twice—and that a mysterious new land in the ocean could spawn such monstrous life—was almost too surreal even for him.
"So you're saying that the sea monster—and maybe many other bizarre creatures we might face—are all products of this second wave?"
"Exactly," Jade confirmed. "The second wave has shifted the balance of spiritual energy across the world. In the ocean, it's opened gateways we didn't even know existed. We're now dealing with anomalies that are beyond our current capabilities, and our forces are stretched thin. All normal animals, insects, even bacteria started showing signs of evolution."
Kent exhaled slowly, a mix of relief that his current mission was complete and a growing resolve for what lay ahead. "Understood, Jade. I'll report back and prepare for the next steps. Thanks, bro for explaining the waves. I will be back in a week."
"Stay sharp, Kent. Give me a call when you are back," Jade replied before the call ended.
Kent stood silently for a moment, letting the information sink in. The revelation of the second spiritual energy wave and the mysterious new land it had birthed—added a whole new layer of danger in everyone's life.
His mind buzzed with thoughts of impending challenges and the strange fate that had befallen the world.
Kent glanced over at Nima and Auri, both of whom were already distracted by the hotel lobby's decorations, and he let out a long sigh.
"Alright, let's check-in," Kent said, his voice barely above a mutter as he rubbed the back of his neck. "But let's make it quick."
A few moments later the check-in was done. All the luggage was in the room. Kent led Nima and Auri out of the hotel. The city was already stirring in the bright light of noon, its scars and battle wounds softened by the gentle caress of the rising sun.

Despite the earlier chaos at the harbour, a sense of calm began to settle over Azure Bay City, and the three of them decided to spend the day at the beach, hoping that a little rest might clear their minds before the next crisis struck.
Kent, though still carrying the exhaustion of battle in his bones, allowed himself a rare moment of reprieve. The beach was a wide stretch of soft sand, fringed by a placid sea that shimmered under the midday sun.
Children laughed in the distance, and the gentle murmur of waves provided a soothing counterpoint to the harsh memories of combat. It was a stark contrast to the tumult of the harbour—a brief oasis where the harsh realities of life could be momentarily forgotten.
Nima, ever the free spirit, wasted no time in joining the revelry. With Auri perched on her shoulder, she dashed toward a colourful beachside market. "Big brother," she called playfully, "let's enjoy some downtime before the next monster shows up!" Her voice carried the promise of carefree moments even in troubled times.
Reluctantly, Kent allowed himself a small smile as he watched his sister. He spread a towel on the warm sand and sat down, his mind still partly in the realm of battle strategy.
But for now, his thoughts turned to another pressing matter: the Void Domain, a realm of nothing but barren land that he had painstakingly expanded, now needed a source of sun and water to sustain life within its borders.
Now he can create a sun with two types of fires and the sun blueprint. A water source was the missing element—a counter balance to the blazing energy of the sun. Without water no tree will glow, and no life can live inside the void domain.
As the day progressed, Kent retreated to a quiet corner of the beach, away from the lively chatter and the distant sounds of families enjoying a day out. Here, on a small, secluded sandbank, he set to work.
His Void Domain had grown vast after merging with the pocket dimension, but it was still an empty expanse, lacking the warmth and nourishment of a sun. Using the volatile elements he had mastered in battle, Kent began to craft his own miniature sun for the domain. First he pulls out the blueprint.
[Blueprint: Lesser Sun Creation
-Effect: Allows the Host to create a small sun using spiritual fire.
-Requires Two Types of Fire.
-The sun will provide heat and light to the Void Domain.
-Once completed, the Void Domain can sustain life and evolve into a livable world.]
With his SSS-Rank skill "Architect of creation," he started by channelling his hellfire—a searing, almost malevolent flame that burned with the intensity of eternal torment. With a few controlled gestures, he summoned deep crimson flames that leapt upward, dancing in the air with raw, untamed energy. But hellfire alone was not enough; it needed balance. Kent then drew upon the power of his flame frost fire—a paradoxical element that fused blazing heat with the biting chill of frost.
The result was astonishing: swirling spheres of light and cold, radiant orbs that glowed with an ethereal blue-white brilliance.
As he combined these forces, Kent envisioned a sun that would provide a gentle yet powerful radiance for his Void Domain. The elemental energies coalesced, forming a steadily glowing orb that pulsed with life. Its surface flickered with both the heat of hellfire and the chill of frost—a celestial body that defied simple explanation, much like the enigmatic forces that governed his world.
[Ding! Congratulations host for creating a lesser sun. You can now put this sun inside your void domain. Both fires will reside in the Void domain. You can summon your flames like before there is no problem with it.]
For a long while, Kent marvelled at his creation. In his mind, the miniature sun was the perfect symbol of his journey: a blend of opposites, forged in adversity and destined to shine even in the darkest of voids. Yet, amid this quiet triumph, one critical problem remained unsolved—a water source was still needed to truly sustain the life he envisioned within his domain.
As he thought about the missing element, a familiar chime cut through the quiet. The system's notification appeared again in his mind, crisp and unyielding.
[Ding! System Notification: "Host, check the Void Domain shop. Water supply available: 'A Sea for Sale' at a price of 50 million SP.]
Kent yelled at the system, "What Fifty million SP? Are you joking with me? I don't even have one million SP. Where am I supposed to get Fifty million? It will take months to collect that much SP."
[Ding! A one-time SP loan is available with a 50% interest rate. Loan cap: 100 million SP."]
System Note: The System advises the host to take the load. This is a one-time offer. You won't get a golden chance like this. SP will be deducted automatically by the system when the host collects SP.
System example: Suppose the host collects Ten Thousand SP a day. The system will take five thousand SP from that. The rest of the five thousand SP points will be stored as usual.
Kent's eyes widened. "Sea for sale?" he muttered incredulously, half amused and half frustrated by the absurdity. The notion that one could buy an entire sea—or enough water to sustain a vast domain—at 50 million SP was surreal. Yet, the system was clear, and the water was the missing link for his Void Domain's survival.
He took a deep breath and rechecked the notification. The system had even offered a one-time SP loan with a 50% interest rate, noting that the loan could not exceed 100 million SP. It was a lifeline he couldn't ignore.
"Looks like I'll have to take the loan," Kent decided aloud. "I can't let the Void Domain remain a barren wasteland. If I put some intelligent life in the void domain I can earn many SP. I also have some ghosts who can help me earn some SP. Let's do it." He quickly activated the loan function, and a series of digital numbers danced before his eyes.
What do you think?
