Hao Ze could hardly believe his eyes as he looked at the supplies piled in the corner. Setting his chopsticks down, he looked at Yao Ran solemnly. "Understood. I will follow your instructions."

Seeing that her business was done here, Yao Ran stood up. "Brother Hao, feel free to use the supplies as needed while gathering information. I have other matters to attend to, so I will be leaving now."

With that, she mounted her bicycle and pedaled away.

Making up his mind, Hao Ze turned to look at his wife and son and sat down.

Sitting beside his wife, he reached out to wipe the dirt off her face and gently said, "Wife, I'm going out for a while. Can you stay here obediently and look after our son?"

Hearing this, his wife raised her blank eyes to stare at him for a moment before giving him a slight smile and nodding.

Seeing the gloomy faces around him, another staff member added, "Captain Li, if we want to reach the gathering point, we'd have to travel on foot. But if we do that, our food supply won't last until we reach the destination."
