Netori: I Shall Steal All Of My Enemies' Women For Revenge!

Chapter 226 Rin, The Nonchalant Queen

Rin sighed and kept driving, heading toward a quieter area while Haruto shot her an exasperated glare.

"Why the hell are you still driving? Let her go first!" His worry was palpable.

"Nah. You wanna do that in front of your classmates?" Rin replied nonchalantly.

"If so, I can turn around and let you have your little dramatic rescue scene back there."

Haruto took a deep breath and tried to be as patient as possible. "Just tell me what happened."

Rin clicked her tongue and leaned back against the seat. "Alright, listen up."

~A Few Hours Earlier~

Rin had just left the hospital, a new bottle of painkillers tucked into her jacket pocket.

She let out a tired sigh as she sat on a park bench, flipping her phone open to check the message from Haruto.

"Tch. This kid… We've only known each other for two days, and he's already ordering me around?" Read new chapters at My Virtual Library Empire

She scoffed, tossing her phone back into her pocket and tilting her head up toward the sky.

The sun's warmth felt good against her skin, but it didn't erase the extreme exhaustion creeping through her bones. But she forced her eyes to keep open, she hates sleep.

She had nothing better to do anyway. She'd quit her job, thrown her entire future away to die alongside Ren…

But she was still alive.

"Guess I might as well keep myself busy," she muttered, pulling her phone out again.

Haruto's message was simple: Pick him up from school, then pick up his woman—Chiyo.

Rin glanced at the map and frowned. His school was much closer to the hospital than his house.

"What a pain… Might as well grab the girl first."

Hopping into her car, she sped off toward Haruto's home, driving with her usual recklessness.

When she arrived, she parked a short distance away and leaned back, observing the house through her window.

"Hm… Looks normal. I thought he was rich like that green-haired brat."

Bored, she lit a cigarette and pulled out her phone, scrolling through videos her ex had sent her—clips meant to cheer her up after her cancer diagnosis.

"Tch. This idiot… He was a jerk when we were together, so why is he trying to act all nice now?" She grumbled but still chuckled at a video of a fat cat brawling with a scrawny one.

Her short life wasn't something she regretted… Until she found out the truth about her best friend.

She took a slow, deep breath, trying to push away the image that burned into her mind—the sight of Keiko submerged in a blood-filled bathtub.

'Why the hell did you do it on your birthday, Keiko…? I can't even eat cake anymore because of you.'

Her thoughts spiraled until movement near the house caught her eye. The door creaked open, and a woman stepped out.

She was beautiful, in her early thirties, with short, curly hair that faded into a deep blue ombré.

Rin slipped her phone back into her pocket.

'That must be Chiyo.'

Rin sighed and pulled her sunglasses over her eyes, hiding the dark circles beneath them. Adjusting her leather jacket, she strode toward Chiyo, who was waiting anxiously outside.

"You. You're Chiyo Hayase, right?" Rin asked abruptly.

Chiyo jolted, startled by the sudden approach.

Her eyes quickly scanned Rin from head to toe—black leather jacket, black shirt, black leather jeans, short boots, and those damn sunglasses.

Suspicious.

Lately, she'd heard rumors about a heretical cult that went door to door, forcing people into their religion. They were supposedly dressed in all black.

Chiyo took a cautious step back. "I think you have the wrong person. And I'm not interested."

Rin frowned. "What? Haruto told me you'd be here."

Chiyo's eyes widened. "You know Haruto?"

"Aha," Rin smirked. "So you are Chiyo."

But that smirk—combined with her shady getup—only made Chiyo's fear spike. Her instincts screamed at her to run.

"Ah! I left my phone inside! Haha! Silly me!" Chiyo spun around, pretending to head back into the house.

Before she could take another step, Rin grabbed her wrist.

"What do you mean? It's right there in your hand."

Chiyo froze, her face paling as she glanced down.

Crap. She had completely forgotten she was still holding it, mid-text with Haruto.

Rin raised an eyebrow and checked her watch. "I'm late picking him up. Just come with me already."

She tugged Chiyo toward the jeep, but Chiyo instinctively resisted her pulse hammering.

"No! I don't know you! Let go!"

Chiyo protested, glancing at the large black vehicle—it looked exactly like the kind of car kidnappers used in crime shows.

"What do you mean? Didn't Haruto already tell you about—?"

But Chiyo wasn't listening. Panic took over. She struggled harder.

And then she did it.

She took a deep breath and screamed at the top of her lungs.

"HELP! HELP ME!!! SHE'S GOING TO KID—"

Rin moved fast. In a flash, she was behind Chiyo, clamping a hand over her mouth.

"Shut up! I don't wanna deal with the cops again!" she hissed.

Again?!

That was the final straw. Chiyo lost it. She thrashed like her life depended on it, kicking and clawing.

Rin sighed, clearly out of patience. "You're making this way harder than it needs to be."

Without another word, she lifted Chiyo effortlessly and threw her into the back of the jeep.

Chiyo barely had time to process what was happening before Rin yanked a red rope from the car floor.

"I didn't wanna do this, but you left me no choice."

Chiyo shrieked, but Rin shoved a handkerchief over her mouth and quickly tied her up with practiced ease.

Patting her hands as if finishing a chore, Rin grinned.

"Alright, now let's go pick up your man."

The door slammed shut, and Chiyo broke into a cold sweat.

Her mind raced in terror.

'This crazy woman is going after Haruto next!'

***

Haruto's frustration was palpable as he sat in the car, his temple throbbing from Rin's nonchalant attitude.

She even mimicked Chiyo's exaggerated internal thoughts, which only added to Haruto's exasperation.

Rin, who was driving, seemed completely unfazed by the gravity of the situation.

"She's pregnant, damn it!" Haruto finally snapped.

Rin pulled the car over, stopping abruptly as she turned to look at him dead in the eye. "Oh, congratulations," she said, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

"Next time, tell your woman about me before all this mess happens."

Haruto clenched his fists. If Rin were a man, she'd already be on the ground bleeding.

But he couldn't punch a woman—not unless it was self-defense.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself, and opened the car door.

'She was kind yesterday, so why is she being so rude now? This damned woman! Why isn't she affected by my charm?!' he thought, his frustration boiling over.

Haruto walked to the back door and untied the rope, removing the handkerchief from Chiyo's mouth.

The moment she was free, she burst into tears, her voice trembling.

"I was so scared, Haruto! Huhu!" she cried, throwing her arms around him.

"And she's right! You should've called me if you wanted your friend to pick me up or protect me or whatever!"

She pulled back slightly, her hands resting on her stomach. "I'm pregnant! I can't be stressed like this!"

Haruto sighed, rubbing her back soothingly. "I know, I'm so sorry," he said, his voice filled with regret.

He had been so caught up with Mari and Ayaka that he'd completely forgotten to inform Chiyo about Rin.

He shot a glare at Rin, but she just shrugged, her expression unbothered.

"I think it's good for her," Rin said casually, leaning against the car.

"Do you know how scary labor is? You'll be surrounded by people you don't know, and your man won't be allowed inside to help you."

Chiyo's face paled at Rin's words, her eyes widening in fear. "I'm pregnant and sensitive! Don't tell me something scary like that!" she shouted, her voice breaking as she started to cry again.

Haruto quickly pulled her into a hug, whispering soothing words to calm her down.

Once Chiyo had settled, he introduced her to Rin, and they continued their journey to the hospital.

Haruto sat in the back with Chiyo, holding her hand tightly, while Rin drove in silence.

---

At the hospital, the moment of truth arrived. Chiyo lay on the examination table as the doctor moved the sonogram over her still-flat stomach.

Haruto's heart raced as he watched the screen, his hand intertwined with Chiyo's.

The doctor smiled, pointing to the tiny image on the screen. "You're about five weeks along, and the baby looks healthy. We won't know the gender just yet, though."

Haruto's eyes softened as he stared at the tiny peanut-sized fetus. He squeezed Chiyo's hand, and they shared a smile, the weight of the moment sinking in.

"I want a copy of the sonogram," Haruto said, his voice firm but filled with emotion.

"Of course, we'll print it out for you," the doctor replied kindly.

After the appointment, they discussed what Chiyo needed to do—and avoid—during her pregnancy.

Haruto listened intently, determined to remember every detail.

This was new territory for both of them, and he wanted to make sure he did everything right.

---

As they stepped out of the doctor's office, the waiting room was in chaos. Babies and toddlers were crying, their wails echoing through the hallway.

Haruto covered his face with his hand, while Chiyo sighed in frustration.

It turned out Rin had scared the living daylights out of a child by simply removing her sunglasses, causing a chain reaction of tears.

Haruto forced Rin to apologize, though she protested vehemently.

"Tch, I just opened my sunglasses, and they all started crying like little brats! Why do I have to apologize?!"

Rin grumbled as they walked to the parking lot.

"It's not my fault I look like this!"

Haruto was about to retort when his phone vibrated. It was a call from Ayaka, who had been bombarding him with messages all day.

He answered, only to hear her screaming on the other end.

"HARUTO, HELP ME!!!"
