Chapter 325: Metagross Vs Tyranitar II

Chapter 325: Metagross Vs Tyranitar II

"Zen Headbutt!"

The shockwave had barely settled when Julian's command rang out.

A surge of Psychic energy enveloped Metagross's body. With the help of its electromagnetism, its speed skyrocketed.

Boom!!

A sharp pain shot through Tyranitar's abdomen as the powerful impact landed. Still reeling from the previous shockwave, its massive body was once again sent flying nearly a hundred meters.

"Tar!"

Digging its heels into the ground, Tyranitar forcibly stopped itself from being pushed back any further. With a deep growl, it launched a Mega Punch, its fist roaring through the air with an explosive force.

Metagross plummeted like a meteor, crashing into the battlefield with a deafening impact. The ground trembled as if struck by an earthquake.

Tyranitar glanced down at its own abdomen. Despite the tough armor protecting it, cracks had formed where Metagross's Zen Headbutt had landed.

A wave of intense pain pulsed through its body—so intense that it almost made Tyranitar throw up its previous meal.

Seeing Metagross buried in the crater, Tyranitar's eyes gleamed coldly. It raised its massive left foot, an immense energy surging through its body.

Stomping Tantrum!

The foot came crashing down with incredible force. The ground fractured in an instant, pieces of rock protruded from the deepening fissures. Cracks spread outward like a web, and at the center, the earth caved in by dozens of meters.

A violent shockwave erupted, turning shattered stones into fine dust.

"He lost! Uncle, I told you he couldn't beat Grandpa!"

Ethan grinned excitedly. Julian had won two battles in a row, but now he was finally defeated.

And with Tyranitar' strength, defeating the two Pokémon from before must not be a problem.

"Good! Serves him right for bullying my idol!"

The little girl clapped her hands in delight. "Sister, you said he was strong, but he doesn't seem all that impressive to me."

"Considering his age, the fact that he defeated two of gym leader Fred's Pokémon is already remarkable. Even if he loses here, do you really think that makes him weak?" the older woman replied calmly.

Though she was speaking to her sister, her eyes never left the battlefield—or Julian. Something about the situation felt off. It didn't seem like it was over just yet.

"Tch, what an act. Metagross is about to be stomped to death, and he still won't recall it?" Ethan sneered. Julian remained expressionless, showing no reaction to Metagross being pinned down.

That only made him seem even more infuriating.

His words, however, made Frank and the older woman pause.

Julian's face was too calm—if Metagross had truly lost, there was no way he would look so indifferent.

"Ty?"

Tyranitar looked down. It had thought the battle was over, but suddenly, a powerful force surged from beneath its foot.

Its left leg was slowly… being lifted.

That guy still wasn't down.

"Tar!"

Realizing this possibility, and feeling the force beneath its foot, Tyranitar immediately pressed down harder with its left leg, trying to stomp Metagross back into the ground.

But no matter how much strength it used, its foot refused to go down any further. Tyranitar clenched its teeth so hard it nearly cracked them, yet all it could do was watch as its left foot was slowly lifted.

Boom!

Before the stunned eyes of the onlookers, Tyranitar—who had been standing firmly—was suddenly flipped over, its massive body crashing heavily into the ground.

From beneath it, Metagross slowly rose. A cloud of dust cascaded from its sleek, silver-white body. As the dust settled, Metagross stood there—completely unscathed.

"Impossible!"

The older woman's pupils shrank in shock.

Tyranitar's Stomping Tantrum was strong enough to shatter a small mountain, yet Metagross had taken it head-on without a single scratch.

Ethan stood with his mouth agape, too stunned to speak.

Only Frank remained unsurprised. As Julian's teacher, he understood better than anyone just how absurd Metagross's durability was.

He had explained before—Metagross's shiny coloration gave it a unique trait: its natural defense was twice as strong as that of a normal Metagross. For most physical attacks, it was like being tickled.

On top of that, its defense had been further enhanced through extensive investment. Taking Tyranitar's Stomping Tantrum head-on without injury? It actually made sense.

The spectators: 'Makes sense my ass!'

"Tyranitar, Mega Evolve!"

Fred sighed inwardly. Julian was far too monstrous. Even after bringing out his ace, he still couldn't take down Metagross—forcing him to be the first to use Mega Evolution.

As the evolution completed, the battlefield trembled.

Standing there now was Mega Tyranitar, even more imposing, ferocious, and powerful than before.

"Metagross, Mega Evolve!"

Mega Tyranitar had reached level 82, which was early pseudo-Champion-level.

Julian wasn't reckless enough to have a peak pseudo-Elite Metagross fight an early pseudo-Champion-level opponent.

With Mega Evolution, Metagross's level increased from 70 to 73.

"He actually forced the old man to use Mega Evolution," Frank muttered.

The distance between Mega Metagross and Mega Tyranitar was less than 100 meters.

Fine grains of sand swirled around Mega Tyranitar. Within moments, the entire battlefield was shrouded in a raging sandstorm.

Sand Stream had been activated.

The ability had no effect on Rock-, Ground-, or Steel-type Pokémon, but all other Pokémon would take continuous damage in this environment.

Since Mega Metagross was a Steel-type, the sandstorm didn't affect it.

Fred knew this, of course, but he still activated Sand Stream—not just to strengthen Mega Tyranitar, but also to disrupt Mega Metagross's vision.@@novelbin@@

The fine sand constantly struck against Mega Metagross' body, yet it caused no damage. Instead, it polished its metallic body, making it shine even brighter.

"TAR!"

Mega Tyranitar roared. After Mega Evolution, both its stamina and energy had recovered to some extent, but more importantly, it had temporarily broken past its previous power limit.

A scorching flame erupted from Mega Tyranitar's mouth. The flames clashed with the swirling sand, turning the airborne grains into tiny droplets of molten rock.

From a distance, the battlefield looked like it was engulfed in a fiery rain of magma, swirling within the raging sandstorm.

Mega Metagross fired a Shadow Ball, intercepting the incoming Flamethrower mid-air.

Just as the two attacks collided, a sudden tremor spread across the battlefield.

Using the sandstorm as cover, Mega Tyranitar had already closed the distance between them.

It wasn't running—it was using Giga Impact.

Even before the attack landed, the sheer force of the compressed air in front of it pinned Mega Metagross in place, leaving it with no room to dodge.

Then, like a falling meteor, Mega Tyranitar's Giga Impact came crashing down. The ground beneath it crumbled into powder as the force of the attack ripped through the battlefield.

"Protect!"

In this situation, Mega Metagross had no time to counterattack, nor could it evade. The only option—the best option—was to use Protect.

"Taunt!"

Fred's voice rang out.

Julian froze for a moment, then looked at Mega Tyranitar in shock.

Using Taunt while locked into Giga Impact?
