Chapter 329: No need, I have money

Julian wasn't afraid of trouble, but he saw no reason to waste his time on unnecessary drama. Too lazy to explain anything, he simply turned to Dawn and said, "I'll head over first. You guys talk."

"I'll come find you in a bit," Dawn replied.

Although she disliked the father and son duo, outright ignoring them wasn't an option. Among aristocratic families, even if they secretly wanted to destroy each other, they always maintained perfect politeness on the surface.

Seeing how closely Dawn leaned in to speak with Julian, the young man's jealousy flared up instantly.

And when he saw Julian about to leave, he shouted angrily, "I don't care who you are! Remember this—Dawn is my woman! If you don't watch yourself and something happens to you, don't say you weren't warned!"

This was a blatant public threat.

His voice was loud, and since many people in the auction recognized the Wells family, it quickly caught attention.

In Rockwell City, the Wells family was second only to Frank's family. They had two Elite-ranked trainers, one of whom was late-stage Elite.

Offending the eldest son of the Wells family meant certain doom in Rockwell City—he might not even live to see the sun tomorrow.

Someone in the crowd sneered, "If Caleb didn't have the Wells family backing him, he would've been dead a long time ago."

"It's a pity for that young man," Another person sighed.

But the man next to him smirked, "Caleb just picked the wrong fight."

"What do you mean? Are you saying that kid's background is stronger than the Wells family?"

The man's expression changed as he took another look at Julian. A familiar feeling washed over him. And then—his eyes widened as realization struck.

"Hiss—"

"Hahaha, The Wells family's finally in trouble."

The man lowered his voice and kept laughing. Because of having two Elites in the family, the Wells family had been acting arrogant for years, stepping on many toes.

And he, for one, was more than happy to see them suffer.

Julian stopped in his tracks. He turned around and slowly walked toward Caleb.

Standing at 1.85 meters, Julian towered over Caleb, who was barely over 1.7 meters.

'Why do people keep walking straight into their own deaths?'

To Julian, Caleb was nothing but an idiot—picking a fight without even knowing who he was up against, and in a place like the auction house where the rich and powerful gathered.

Did he seriously think that anyone who could enter this auction house was just an ordinary person?

"You little—"

Caleb barely got a word out before—

SLAP!

His father, Albert, suddenly smacked him across the face.

Caleb stood there, stunned.

Caleb: 'Dad, are you going senile? Did you just hit the wrong person?'

"Young Master Walker, I sincerely apologize. My son has been… mentally challenged since birth."@@novelbin@@

As Julian walked up to Caleb, Albert finally got a clear look at his face— and nearly collapsed on the spot.

He knew that the young master of the Walker family had recently arrived in Rockwell City to challenge the National Rock Gym—and had even won.

He had even planned to buy something valuable at the auction today so he could gift it to Julian tomorrow as a way to establish ties with the Walker family.

But fate had other plans.

He had been looking for a way to connect with the Walkers, yet his own son's mouth had just destroyed that opportunity—maybe even dragging the entire Wells family down with him.

"Just now, he said I wouldn't live to see tomorrow," Julian's tone was calm.

SMACK!

SMACK!

Albert immediately unleashed a flurry of slaps, his speed was almost as fast as Double Slap.

The entire auction hall fell silent. The only sound that remained was the crisp, echoing slaps ringing through the air.

Caleb's face began to swell up in real time.

"Is that how you talk to Young Master Walker?!"

"I'll kill you b*****d"

"Apologize to Young Master—NOW!"

Albert showed no mercy. The slaps landed with full force, knocking loose several of Caleb's teeth.

"That's enough."

Julian glanced at Albert. This man was ruthless—even to his own son. Since he had already humiliated himself this much, there was no need for Julian to continue pressing the matter.

With that, he turned and entered Box No. 8 with Dawn.

Meanwhile, in the Auction Hall…

Everyone had witnessed the complete humiliation of the Wells family. Most of the crowd watched the Wells father and son with gloating expressions, waiting to see how badly this would end for them.

Even some families that had previously been close to the Wells were already considering cutting ties.

On the other hand, Dawn's family suddenly found itself in the spotlight. Everyone had seen Julian and Dawn enter the private box together.

Someone patted Dawn's father, Richard, on the shoulder.

"Old Richard, don't forget about your old friend when your family rises up, alright?"

Richard laughed, playing along. "Of course, of course."

He knew that people were probably overthinking things—his daughter and Julian weren't necessarily involved—but that didn't stop him from taking advantage of the situation.

Suddenly, many powerful figures gathered around Richard, all eager to show goodwill.

Some even started suggesting marriage alliances—going as far as offering their daughters to marry into his family.

---

Inside Box No. 8, Julian and Dawn sat side by side—though not too close—with a server standing nearby to assist them.

Neither of them spoke, Julian casually scrolled through his phone, While Dawn on the other hand, seemed lost in thought.

Earlier, Julian had posted a short video online. Now, it had already surpassed six million likes.

His inbox? Flooded.

He clicked on a few messages at random.

'Good grief'

'When did girls start dressing this boldly?!'

'Are those basketballs in her shirt?'

Dawn had been looking for an excuse to talk to Julian. Just as she turned to speak, her eyes landed on his phone screen.

Dawn: (⊙﹏⊙)b

"Just some fan messages—I was just scrolling through randomly," Julian immediately felt the need to explain.

Dawn nodded blankly, her mind slightly dazed. She wasn't sure what came over her, but she suddenly blurted out:

"So… you like… bigger ones?"

As soon as the words left her mouth, her face froze in shock. She wanted to explain herself, but then—

"Not too big, something around your size is fine."

'Gravity is still a thing, you know'

Dawn's face immediately turned red, she instinctively glanced down at herself.

The server nearby remained expressionless, but inside, he was relentlessly judging Julian's terrible flirting skills.

As the clock hit 11:00 PM — The Auction officially began.

The lights in the auction hall suddenly brightened, a man wearing a Gengar mask stepped onto the stage.

"Welcome, everyone, to the annual Mystery Auction."

"I will be your auctioneer tonight."

"We have prepared a total of 30 exclusive items."

"Each one is incredibly valuable—so I hope your wallets are ready. Otherwise, you might just miss out on what you need~"

Following the auctioneer's appearance, Dawn turned to Julian, "Young Master Julian, if you see anything you like, our family can buy it for you."

"No need. I have money."

Julian flatly refused.

Dawn: 'Is that really the issue?! If you don't even give us a chance, how is our family supposed to suck up to you?!'
