Pokemon: Reborn Rich Alternate Earth

Chapter 334: Hello, Grandpa

Chapter 334: Hello, Grandpa

After capturing Honedge, Julian recalled the promise he had made to it and smiled slightly.

'Too young and too naive, you don't understand how cruel the world can be'

'Not to mention whether your trainer is even alive—even if they aren't dead, by the time you actually find them, you'll have spent so long with me that your mind will be completely rewired'

'By then, even if I told you to leave, you wouldn't want to'@@novelbin@@

Celebi: "What kind of evil scheme are you thinking about? You're smiling way too smugly."

As it floated in the air, its little belly jiggled slightly—a rather unpleasant sight.

This once adorable Mythical Pokémon had been completely ruined under Julian's care.

It turned out that even a Mythical Pokémon like Celebi couldn't resist the temptations of the outside world.

Julian sighed. "I was just thinking... you need to lose some weight. No more junk food from now on."

Fried chicken, burgers, chips, soda—this little guy ate the absolute worst things. It was only thanks to being a Mythical Pokémon that its body could handle it.

If it were an ordinary Pokémon eating like this, it would've ruined its health ages ago.

Celebi: "No way! Life without burgers isn't worth living!"

"Slowking, keep an eye on it. This week, it can only eat Pokéblocks."

Although Pokéblocks were still quite delicious, compared to burgers and fries, they always felt like something was missing.

"Slow~"

Slowking nodded in agreement.

Celebi's chubby belly was partially Slowking's fault too—every time it went out to buy groceries, it always brought back some fried chicken for Celebi.

Hearing Julian's serious tone, Celebi panicked. It grabbed his shirt, looking up at him with big, watery eyes, trying to appear as cute as possible.

"Don't be like this... Fine! I'll become your Pokémon, okay?"

Julian sneered. "You? Not even close. Now, if Mew were offering, that'd be a different story."

Although Celebi was a Mythical Pokémon, it wasn't particularly known for its combat strength. Its true power lay in its ability to travel through time.

This ability could be considered its passive skill.

Celebi could travel to the past at will, but bringing a human along was an entirely different matter. The difficulty increased exponentially, and the person risked dying in the process.

Even if they survived, their lifespan would be affected by how much time they traveled.

Moreover, if someone ended up in the past alongside their past self, it would cause a time paradox. The timeline would then attempt to correct itself by erasing the duplicate. If they didn't leave in time, they would simply cease to exist.

Celebi had explained all of this to Julian before.

After learning these risks, Julian completely abandoned any thoughts of asking Celebi to take him through time.

Julian wasn't interested in time travel to change anything—he simply wanted to experience what it felt like.

But after learning how dangerous it was, he immediately gave up on the idea. He hadn't lived long enough to take that kind of risk.

Celebi never expected to be rejected like this. Countless trainers in the world dreamed of having it, yet here it was, offering itself willingly—only for Julian to turn it down.

Celebi: "One of us is going down today!"

Julian: "Wasn't it you who surrendered first last time?"

Celebi: "It was the dog who surrendered first!"

Julian: "Oh, right, right. The dog."

Arcanine: "Are you two talking about me?"

Just as Julian and Celebi were about to start round two of their real-life PK, Lucario suddenly barked toward a certain direction.

"Luca!"

It had sensed a strong, concentrated malice coming from the other side of the wall. That hostility was specifically targeting Julian.

The enemy had hidden it well—so well that Julian couldn't sense it with his Aura. But Lucario could.

In the neighboring room, was the middle-aged man from Box No. 7, with a Chandelure floating beside him.

Chandelure's gaze was locked on the wall that separated their room from Julian's.

"If I get that Soul Crystal, you'll be able to break through your limits and reach Champion level."

"That brat again… Last time it was him, and now it's him again. The Walker family should've been wiped out long ago."

The man radiated a chilling aura, his expression so cold it seemed like water might start dripping from his face.

Chandelure: "Let's kill him"

The man shook his head. "He has ties to the new first-tier Legendary Mewtwo. If he's in danger, Mewtwo might show up."

Back in Haitian City, if Mewtwo hadn't suddenly appeared to stop Kyogre, his plan would have already succeeded. Chandelure would have devoured the souls of millions, ensuring its advancement into a Champion-level Pokémon.

Chandelure: "Then we just have to kill him before he has the chance to call Mewtwo."

For the second time, Julian had interfered with its path to power. The hatred Chandelure held for Julian burned even stronger now. If not for its trainer holding it back, it would have already rushed in to finish him off.

With its peak pseudo-Champion strength and its nature as a Ghost-type, killing Julian wouldn't be difficult at all.

Chandelure's words made the middle-aged man pause for a moment before a thoughtful expression crossed his face.

It made sense. Even if Julian could call for Mewtwo, unless Mewtwo was constantly by his side, there would always be a delay.

And in that window of time, he could kill Julian, take the Soul Crystal, and disappear.

Moreover, there was a real chance that Julian could no longer summon Mewtwo.

First-tier Legendary Pokémon were proud beings. Summoning one even once required an immense price, and as far as anyone knew, no one had ever successfully summoned the same Legendary twice.

On Julian's side, after hearing Lucario's warning, he immediately called the hotel manager over.

"Who's staying in the room next door? Look it up for me."

"Young Master, his name is Hector," the manager quickly replied.

'Hector again'

Julian frowned, thinking for a moment before asking, "Do you know what he looks like?"

The manager shook his head. "I don't, but we have his registered identification in our system. I can get it for you."

Julian nodded, and the manager left to retrieve the information.

"That guy wouldn't actually try to kill me just to take the Soul Crystal, would he?" Julian muttered to himself.

Although his family background and personal strength prevented most people from thinking about assassinating him. But there were always exceptions—people powerful enough, or desperate enough, to take the risk.

The Soul Crystal was the ultimate treasure for Ghost-types, it was enough to drive a few people to take reckless action.

If not for Lucario's acute Aura sensitivity—detecting the hostility directed at him—Julian wouldn't even have known that a potential killer was staying right next door.

If Hector truly planned to assassinate him, then he had to be someone stronger than Julian himself.

So without hesitation, Julian pulled out his phone.

"Hello, Grandpa"
