Chapter 347: Lucario Vs Bisharp
Chapter 347: Lucario Vs Bisharp
"Luca!"
Lucario made a dazzling entrance, drawing excited screams from many of the girls in the audience. When it came to looks, Lucario had always been ranked among the top five most popular Pokémon.
And it wasn't just about looks—it was strong, could Mega Evolve, and was the perfect combination of power and style.
Its long ears twitched slightly as it locked eyes with Bisharp. A powerful aura radiated from its body, making it clear that its opponent was no pushover.
Bisharp slowly raised its arm—then, to everyone's surprise, it stuck out its tongue and licked the blade on its forearm.
Julian: 'This action? Yep, definitely a villain'
Lucario: 'Disgusting'
As the protective barrier around the battlefield activated, Frank the referee announced the start of the match.
"Bisharp, Fury Cutter!"
"Lucario, Extreme Speed!"
Julian and Kaide issued their commands almost simultaneously, but the results couldn't have been more different.
Just as Bisharp was about to move, it suddenly realized—Lucario was gone!
A split second later, a massive force struck its lower back from behind.
Bisharp was sent flying nearly a hundred meters before landing, sliding dozens more before finally coming to a stop. A sharp pain shot through its waist, making it difficult to stand—it staggered and knelt on one knee.
He got read!
Kaide, who had been brimming with confidence, had just taken a metaphorical slap to the face.
Behind him, Richard lowered his head, but there was a hint of satisfaction in his expression.
He realized he no longer held as much resentment toward Julian. Compared to him, he disliked Kaide even more. Kaide never showed him any respect.
Even Kaide's subordinates treated him like trash.
"666, that read alone is something I could spend my whole life learning."
"Bisharp: MY BACK—"
"Wait, what's a 'read'?"
"It means predicting the opponent's move in advance and countering it for an advantage. But if the read fails, you could end up in a bad spot yourself."
"Damn, that was a gutsy move from King Julian."
"Hey, I'm in elementary school. Big bro, can I have that Lucario?"
The comment section was blowing up, and the viewer count had already surpassed a hundred million.
However, the social media manager for Imperial University's official account was puzzled. The numbers weren't going up anymore—something didn't add up.
It wasn't until later that he realized Julian had started his own livestream, and everyone had flocked to his channel instead.
Lucario had landed the first hit, dealing solid damage to Bisharp. It was about to press the attack—but its opponent was already getting back up.
Lucario was slightly surprised by this. Its raw strength might not be on the same level as Metagross or Aggron, but it was still incredibly strong. Against most Fighting-type Pokémon, it could score a clean knockout.
Bisharp had taken Lucario's hit head-on—yet it still managed to stand up quickly, which showed his impressive resilience.
"Slash!"
Kaide no longer underestimated Julian. That flawless read from earlier had been enough for him to place Julian on the same level as himself.
And, his Bisharp was at the Elite level, while Lucario was only a pseudo-Elite Pokémon.
With that level advantage, Kaide refused to let himself fall into another passive position.
Bisharp exploded forward with incredible speed—its powerful legs kicked off the ground, leaving a small crater behind. In the blink of an eye, it had already crossed over a hundred meters.
The blades on its arms gleamed white as they suddenly extended over a meter in length.
"Bone Rush!"
As a Fighting-type Pokémon, Lucario never feared close combat.
It extended both arms to the sides, and in an instant, a white bone staff materialized in its hands.
SWISH!
Lucario raised its bone weapon and blocked the incoming Slash.
CLANG!
A flicker of surprise flashed in Bisharp's eyes. Its Slash was sharp enough to cut through a meter-thick steel plate with ease, yet it had been stopped by a single bone staff.
And no matter how much force Bisharp put into its attack, it couldn't cut through the staff. Instead, the force rebounding from it pushed Bisharp backward.
Bisharp: 'I'm not its rival in terms of strength'
It immediately reached this conclusion. There was no need for pride or hesitation—Bisharp swiftly retracted its blade, lowered its stance, and aimed a Rock Smash at Lucario's abdomen.
But Lucario's reaction was even faster. It lightly tapped the ground with its left foot, its body soaring into the air to dodge the attack. At the same time, its right leg swung out in a devastating kick.
High Jump Kick landed directly on Bisharp's face.
Even with its armored faceplate, Bisharp felt as if it had just been slammed by a high-speed train.
Its vision went black, and with a whoosh, it was sent flying hundreds of meters before crashing hard into the protective barrier.
The sheer force of the impact sent ripples through the energy shield.
Hannah's face turned pale—Bisharp had smashed into the barrier right in front of her. Thank goodness for the protective shield.
"Are you okay?"
The older girl beside her asked.
Hannah shook her head. "I'm fine… just startled."
The older girl sighed, "Honestly, I don't think you're suited to be a Trainer. You're way too timid. Maybe you should consider changing careers soon."
"Quit? But I don't even know what else I'd do… Besides, I think being a Trainer suits me."
She looked toward the battlefield, at Julian standing there calmly. If she wasn't a Trainer… then she wouldn't even have a reason to talk to him anymore.
The older girl noticed Hannah's gaze and teased, "Well, if you don't want to switch careers, that's fine too. Just snag Young Master Julian as your husband. Then, our whole dorm can rely on you!"
Her voice was a bit too loud, and soon, the people around them had overheard the conversation.
Some of the girls in the crowd were immediately displeased. They had their eyes on Julian too! They turned to glare at Hannah with hostility.
But the moment they saw her face, they all simultaneously withdrew their gazes.
Girls: 'Ugh, just look at her. She's got "fake innocent" written all over her'
"Keep your voice down, will you?"
Hannah blushed, How could her friend say something like that in front of so many people?!
"I 'was' being quiet! Besides, I'm just worried for you. Look at Nicole—she started later than you, yet now she's ahead of you! Don't let her win!"
"If it really comes down to it, our whole dorm can team up! Strength in numbers, you know? I refuse to believe Julian can resist all four beauties of Room 301! You'll be the main wife, and we'll settle for being side pieces!"
"Big Sis!!"
Hannah stomped her foot in frustration, her face burning. Her friend was getting more and more outrageous, saying things like that so openly! She quickly glanced around—sure enough, several people were staring at them.
Some of the boys in the crowd overheard the conversation and immediately felt nothing but hatred for Julian.
'Damn it! He's already got two campus belles, and now he won't even spare the department beauty?!'
'Beast. Absolute beast'
"Don't call me Big Sis anymore, from now on, 'you' are our Big Sis!"
Hannah: "..."
