Chapter 408: Julian’s Ruthlessness
Actually, whether this Dragonite belongs to Julian or not doesn’t really matter. What matters is that a trainer who owns a Dragonite is never an ordinary person.
Felix himself hadn’t expected that simply injuring two Swellow would provoke a Dragonite.
But since there was a girl beside him, he couldn't afford to back down.
Besides, Dragonite had just injured his three Pokémon as well. At this point, there was no turning back.
"It probably isn't Julian's, he doesn’t have a Bagon," one of his lackeys speculated.
"What's the difference? They have two pseudo-legendaries," Another lackey said anxiously.
Felix’s face darkened as well, a trainer with two Dragon-type pseudo-legendaries? At Imperial University, that was most likely someone from the Drake family.
"Young Master Lawson, maybe we should just drop this," the girl beside him advised.
She wasn’t just a pretty face—if things escalated, it would affect her the most.
Besides, given Felix’s background, Dragonite’s trainer probably wouldn’t do anything serious to him.
"Fine."
Felix muttered, taking the easy way out.
The students who had gathered to watch were visibly disappointed. Clearly, they had been looking forward to more drama.
"Leaving? Have you asked me?"
Just as they were about to leave, an angry voice rang out.
Felix turned around, furious, ready to curse out whoever dared to talk back to him—
Only to be met with the gleaming silver body of a Metagross, and the words got caught in his throat.
There were many trainers in this world who owned a Dragonite, but a silver Metagross? There were only a handful of those.
And at Imperial University, the only trainer with one was—
"Julian!"
Felix looked at Julian standing beside Metagross with an ugly expression on his face.
Little did he know that the Dragonite was really his Pokémon.
When Bagon saw its trainer, it immediately ran over with an aggrieved face.
Julian scooped it up as Bagon chattered in his ear, explaining how Felix had bullied the Swellow and even tried to attack Dragonite.
"It’s okay. I’ll make sure they get what they deserve," Julian reassured it, patting Bagon’s head, he then handed over some potions. "Go treat the Swellow first."
The Swellow were not seriously injured, after all, most of the damage had been blocked by Dragonite.
Bagon nodded and trotted over to the injured Swellow pair.
Meanwhile, Julian had already arrived in front of Felix.
Julian, who was around 1.8 meters tall, looked down at Felix, who was just over 1.7 meters. Before Felix could even open his mouth—
SLAP!
A sharp sound echoed as Julian’s palm struck across his face.
The force was so strong that it sent Felix crashing to the ground.
Felix was completely stunned by the slap. He hadn’t expected Julian to actually hit him, not caring at all about his family background.
The woman and his lackeys didn’t even dare to breathe too loudly, they hurried to help him up.
"Julian, how dare you hit me?!"
His lips were split, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. With so many people watching, his eyes turned bloodshot with rage. Ignoring everything else, he charged straight at Julian.
But Julian simply lifted his leg and kicked Felix flying, he tumbled seven or eight meters across the ground before finally coming to a stop.
And that was with Julian holding back. If he had used his full strength, that slap alone could have taken Felix’s head clean off.
With the Mega Pallet Town physique, Julian’s strength was no joke, he could lift an Aggron, after all.
Sending Felix flying was completely trivial.
"It was you who dared to mess with me," Julian snorted coldly.
The two Swellow might not have been his Pokémon, but they lived in his backyard. Even if they left one day, they were still 'his'.
And when it came to protecting his own, Julian was just like John—he didn’t care who was right or wrong. If you bullied someone he cared about, you were getting beaten down.
Felix groaned, unable to straighten his body from the pain, he could only curl up on the ground.
Julian started walking toward him, his lackeys didn’t dare step forward, they had already seen how ruthless Julian was, and the woman, frozen in fear, couldn’t move either.
Just as Julian reached Felix, the other party suddenly lunged, holding a dagger in his hand.
Blinded by rage, Felix had completely lost his mind. Right now, all he wanted was to kill Julian.
The blade shot straight toward Julian’s heart.
"Die!" Felix snarled with a twisted expression.
The crowd gasped in horror.
Snap
Julian sneered, with barely any effort, he caught Felix’s wrist mid-strike.
Then—
Crack
The sound of breaking bone rang out, crisp and clear, and everyone around heard it.
And then came Felix’s bloodcurdling scream—
"AAAAAHHH!!"
His arm was completely broken, the bone piercing through the skin.
As Felix writhed in agony on the ground, Julian’s eyes gleamed with cold fury. If this weren’t the wrong place for it, Felix would already be dead.
As if sensing Julian's murderous aura, a Poké Ball on Felix's waist suddenly opened.
The next second, a Blaziken appeared in front of Julian.
A late-stage Elite Blaziken—Felix’s guardian Pokémon.
Seeing Felix's miserable state, Blaziken didn’t hesitate, it immediately threw a punch at Julian.
Swish
But Metagross was faster, with a Teleport, it appeared in front of Julian, blocking the attack with its own body.
"Don’t blame me for what happens next."
Julian's eyes were shining with a cold glint.
He hadn’t even used his Pokémon against Felix, and he hadn’t intended to kill him either.
But first, Felix pulled out a dagger, and then even his guardian Pokémon appeared and attacked Julian.
And they were inside the campus, where battling was forbidden.
"Alakazam."
Julian’s voice was calm.
A pseudo-Champion Alakazam appeared in front of Julian.
It had originally been at the peak of Elite tier, but thanks to Julian’s help, it had broken through its limits—its potential rising from Cyan to Blue, and its strength soaring to the pseudo-Champion rank.
Although Alakazam was his Grandpa's Pokémon, it had always guarded him, so Julian would naturally not treat it badly.
Under Alakazam’s immense psychic power, Blaziken froze on the spot, unable to move a muscle. The power gap between them was overwhelming.
"Cripple it," Julian said coldly.
Blaziken dared to attack a trainer directly—in public, no less. That was a direct violation of the Trainer Association’s laws.
A tragic cry echoed through the area as Alakazam carried out Julian’s order without hesitation. Alakazam tortured him inhumanely, and the origin power in its body was scattered by Alakazam.
Blaziken wasn't dead, but the damage done was irreversible, even with a Revival Herb, its physical injuries could heal—but its lost origin could never be restored.
Its strength plummeted from late-stage Elite to early-stage Pseudo-Elite, and its once-Cyan potential changed to Green.
Unless it encountered a miracle, it would never recover.
The ruthlessness of Julian’s actions left the surrounding crowd in stunned silence, no one dared to even breathe too loudly.
