Pokemon: Reborn Rich Alternate Earth

Chapter 436: Pocket Dimension

Magearna was a man-made Pokémon, and aside from its creator, no one knew how it was made. Even if the creator was asked to replicate it, he might not be able to.

After all, there could have been an element of luck involved in its creation, which made the original success possible.

If he tried to recreate it a second time, he might not be as fortunate.

However, if Julian could get his hands on the blueprints, there was a chance he could attempt to replicate it. Even if he couldn’t create another Steel-type Mythical Pokémon like Magearna, he could lower his expectations.

It might still be possible to craft a Steel-type Pokémon—or perhaps one of another type.

So, when Magearna mentioned that the blueprints of its creation were stored in the castle, Julian was naturally thrilled.

Artificial Pokémon—this was technology that no country in the world currently possessed. The value of such technology was immeasurable.

If the Walker family could master it, their position in Drakoria would become unshakable. As long as the government didn’t want to openly clash with them, their best option would be to collaborate.

“It’s already dark, let’s head to the castle tomorrow.”

Suppressing his excitement, Julian decided to search for the blueprints the next day.

The Drakorian government had already searched the castle countless times. Many items had been taken away, but they had still failed to find the Soul-Heart.

Unless they completely dismantled the castle brick by brick, they would never have discovered it.

And the blueprints might have been hidden in a similar fashion, which made Julian confident that the government hadn’t gotten their hands on them.

“Come on, Magearna. Let me introduce you to everyone, you’re going to be their partner from now on.”

Julian led Magearna over to Metagross and the other Pokémon, introducing each one of them.

The team greeted Magearna warmly, Arcanine even gave it a friendly lick with its tongue.

“Everyone, this is our new partner, Magearna. Take good care of it from now on,” Julian said.

Although Magearna was a Steel-type Mythical, its level had been reset to 1 due to the reboot. Apart from some fixed memories—such as the name of its creator and the location of the blueprints—its previous memories had completely vanished.

In its current state, Magearna was essentially a newborn, no different from an infant. Julian would need to be particularly attentive to its upbringing.

As certain Pokémon might be a bad influence.

Sure enough, he soon noticed Magearna staring at Celebi, who was happily munching on a fried chicken drumstick, with a curious look in its eyes.

A bad influence had already appeared.

As a senior, Celebi was utterly failing to set a good example for its junior.

Julian glared at Celebi: “Go eat over there.”

Celebi: “Why? I want to eat here.”

“Didn’t you see the way Magearna was looking at you?”

Celebi: “Huh?”

It looked at Magearna, and found that the latter was staring at the fried chicken in its hand. After hesitating for a while and a brief internal struggle, Celebi viciously took a huge bite of the drumstick.

Then, with only a bit of meat clinging to the bone, it handed the gnawed drumstick toward Magearna, “You want some?”

“Get lost, get lost! Scram!”

Julian grabbed Celebi and tossed it aside.

'This thing must have nothing but fat in its brain, no sense of awareness whatsoever.'

Immediately, he turned to Magearna with a serious expression, “In the future, you should stay away from that thing, it’s a little off,” he warned, tapping the side of his head.

“Slowking, I’m leaving Magearna in your care.”

But when Julian saw Magearna’s puzzled expression, he realized it was still just a newborn—it didn’t understand a thing yet.

There was no way it could grasp what he was saying.

“Slow~”

Slowking nodded.

Julian crouched down and patted Magearna’s head.

“From now on, spend more time with Slowking, and stay away from the others, like Arcanine, Gengar, and Celebi as much as possible.”

To Julian, the three of them were all troublemakers—especially Celebi.

“Arf!”

Arcanine: “Why include me?”

Julian: “I’m afraid you’ll teach Magearna how to tear down the house.”

“Ke-ke-ke!”

Gengar snickered and suddenly licked Julian’s left cheek.

Magearna tilted its head in confusion, watching Julian calmly take out a berry from his pocket and pop it into his mouth. As the soothing effect of the berry washed over him, Julian’s expression quickly returned to normal.

To Magearna, this made Julian seem incredibly powerful, and its eyes squinted with admiration.

“Behave yourself.”

Julian firmly stomped Gengar into his shadow, the mischievous ghost poked half of its body back out, grinning mischievously at Julian and Magearna.

Annoyed, Julian stomped on it again, this time shoving it completely into the shadow.

He then turned to Magearna with a serious look, “You must never learn from it.”

Just imagining Magearna licking his face like Gengar sent a shiver down his spine.

---

The next morning, after a hearty breakfast, Julian took Magearna into the castle.

According to Magearna’s memory, the blueprints of its creation were hidden in the king’s bedchamber.

The castle was massive, it took them nearly half an hour to reach the royal bedroom. When Julian pushed open the door, he was greeted by a barren and desolate room.

There wasn’t even a bed—let alone a chair to sit on.

“They took everything…” Julian muttered in exasperation.

But it was understandable—after all, this was the king's bedroom, the most important place in the entire castle. There was no telling what kind of treasures might have been hidden here.

Naturally, everything had been taken.

Moreover, Julian found that some of the pillars and floor tiles showed signs of damage. The official team had clearly searched these places.

Fortunately, they didn’t use the same method in the library, otherwise the Soul-Heart would have probably been taken away.

Seeing the cracked tiles and battered pillars, Julian felt a twinge of unease. What if the blueprints had already been taken?

“Are the blueprints still here?”

Julian quickly turned to Magearna and asked.

Magearna nodded: “Yes.”

Then it walked to the center of the room, and the Soul-Heart in its chest emitted a burst of white light.

The light wasn’t blinding but warm and soothing.

Within the light, there had been nothing at first but slowly a one-meter-wide space slowly appeared in front of Magearna.

Celebi: “A pocket dimension.”

Celebi's words instantly answered Julian’s unspoken question.

If the blueprints were hidden in a pocket dimension, they were indeed very safe.

It was just that how had this pocket dimension came to be? Could it have been the work of Nikola, the creator of Magearna?

Not only did he create a Steel-type Mythical, but he also created a pocket dimension? Was this really something a human could do?

As the pocket dimension opened fully, a book slowly floated out of it.

Seeing this, Julian's eyes lit up, and he immediately stepped forward. Just as the pocket dimension closed, and the book was about to fall, Julian quickly caught it.
