Chapter 284 Before The auction
"You ladies look like you need some sleep," Kent said when he arrived at Gate Master Mara's residence. Gate Master Camilla was there, as always.
After the discovery that the sect master was involved with the disappearance of her precious disciple, she always spends her time with Gate master Mara.
"Kent, you are here," Gate Master Mara said, appearing happy.
"Yeah, I am here. I said I would be back, so here I am," Kent smiled. "Do you ladies miss me?" he asked, but the two ladies just glared at him, demanding answers.
"You ladies are not fun," he sighed and sat down.
"Right now, I have good news and bad news. Which one do you want to hear first?" Kent asked.
"The good, obviously," Gate Master Camilla said, causing Gate Master Mara to nod in support.
"Well, the good news is, the two lovely ladies are still alive.
Well, Nara is still as gorgeous as ever, but your disciple was recently threatened, so she wasn't doing too well. But she is alive and will soon be more than well.
Again, your sister is amazing. She is like a big sister to her disciple."
Kent spoke, and the two ladies, hearing that their sister and disciple were well, could only shed tears of joy.
"Zaila is alive; she really is alive," Gate Master Camilla broke down in tears, hearing that her most loved disciple was still alive. It was all she had wanted to hear these past couple of days.
"Yes, she is alive, and we will rescue her soon enough."@@novelbin@@
"Thank you," she said, looking up at Kent with tears on her face as she thanked him. The sincerity in her words said it all. She is both happy and thankful.
"Don't worry about it. We will rescue them so you can spend the rest of your life with your precious disciple. However, before we can do that, we must first kill an evil man and his minions.
Right now, I count 300-plus minions, but I will take care of them. Our priority now is the sect master, and from the presence I sensed when I was down there, he is not going to be an easy nut to crack.
We have to prepare well," Kent said, making the two ladies calm their emotions and focus on him.
"What should we do? I don't care how dangerous it is. As long as Big Sister gets to live in the end, I will do anything," Gate Master Mara said.
"We are going to do a lot. But for now, I just need you ladies to be at your peak, and for that to happen, you need to get some resources, which I am sure will be sold at this auction.
So, what do you think? Do you want to be my guest at this year's annual auction? Bills on me."
On one side of things, taking them to the auction would make them much stronger and closer. After all, the campaign to rescue the two ladies will have Kent revealing more of his secrets.
So, getting to know them better and building that trust will go a long way.
His rule is very simple: From trust, he can then thrust.
So, in a way, Kent had just asked two heavenly, breathtaking beauties on a date where he planned on spending billions as if he were farming spirit stones.
Well, he could just buy bingo cards in the tower to multiply his cash, so in a way, he was indeed farming the stones.
But this was also a way for him to get to know them better and, perhaps, if possible, let them learn more about him.
If, after spending this much money they still don't open up, then he will exclude them from the teams and measure up to the odds in his own way.
One had to fall for that even if their principles are solid. He is basically asking them to come and spend his money for free. No strings attached.
Well, the strings are faint at the moment, but they are there nonetheless.
The universe hadn't given him a quest yet, so he could only do it the old-fashioned way. Get to know them and build it from there.
"Are you sure you can accommodate the two of us?" Gate Master Camilla said with a small smile. She wanted to tease her uptight friend, but it seemed she wasn't in the mood.
"You wouldn't have to worry about that. Just get dressed, and in two days' time, I will come to pick you up," Kent said, and the two ladies nodded.
"Now, where is my servant who I asked to go apologize to the elders?" Kent asked, and Gate Master Mara pointed in a certain direction.
He thanked her and started moving toward a certain mountain peak, where he could see sword light flashing through the air.
"Hello, servant of mine, 'tis I, your master. I cometh to have a chat with you," Kent said, watching as the saintess intentionally directed her attacks toward him.
"You do know I can still beat you up, right?" Kent said evading the attacks coming her way. Though her attacks didn't contain killing intent, they were very annoying.
She still couldn't believe a mere Grandmaster was able to beat her in a sword duel. Her loss was something she never saw coming.
Though she had lost twice against Saintess Selene, Kent was different. Stay tuned to My Virtual Library Empire
"Fine, I just came to tell you we will be going to the auction in two days, so be ready. I will come pick you up," Kent said before moving away. The lady was just too annoying.
But that wouldn't be for long.
Like he told the Everlasting Immortal Sword Sect elders, after 100 years, she wouldn't even think of coming back to them.
The Dragon wouldn't just let go of his meat just because she had a powerful backing.
After leaving her alone to vent her frustration, Kent went straight to the Spear Gate, where he planned on going to the Tasty Home Pavilion with Ingrid.
This, of course, was just his plan to invite three beauties who would, for some reason, be around that place when he and Ingrid arrived.
Kent wanted to invite Elsa, Lilian, and Unity to dine with them. This way, when he invited them to go to the auction with him, people would definitely flip.
He would monopolize all the beauties in the sect, and when he arrived at the auction, he would surely show the entire kingdom the Dragon doesn't care about money—for he prints money.
What do you think?
