Chapter 285 Going To The Auction
The day for the auction finally arrived.
All over the sect, the core and inner disciples who had invitations had already left for Vastport City, where the auction would take place.
Sect elders and gate masters were no different. This was the annual auction where some of the most powerful items—and even soul items—were traded.
The Green Leaf Auction House had the farthest reach when it came to procuring some of the most valuable treasures one could ever hope to obtain.
Across the four kingdoms, powerful and wealthy individuals had already gathered to attend the auction.
Over the next three days, some of the most valuable treasures would be sold, and only those with the deepest pockets would walk away smiling.
But not everyone was going there to buy. Some had their own motives, and one such person was Kent, who was going there to complete a mission.
The first chain quest he received tasked him with targeting the Dark Devil Church and the Hand. The Dark Devil Church had come after Li Hua, and the Hand had nearly killed his master, who was now his wife.
Naturally, he was furious. The quest required him to go after them, and his first target was to assassinate Bright Faywood, the head of the Faywood noble family in the Eldorath Kingdom.
Under normal circumstances, Kent would have travelled there to carry out the assassination. However, he chose a different approach—he wanted to do this in the cleanest way possible.
"Gaia, I will be buying the Six-Eyes Shadow Spider like you recommended," Kent said.
He wasn't about to do the killing himself; he would employ the expertise of a creature Gaia had recommended when he first awakened the tower.
All he had to do was let the shadow creature enter his shadow, and the rest would take care of itself whenever he desired.
"You know what, make it two. I want one inside the head of the Miller family's shadow too," Kent instructed, and the cosmic weaver complied.
Though he wasn't aware that his ladies were already planning to go after that family, it wouldn't hurt to keep his eyes on them for now.
After making the purchase, he left the Guardian Tower and returned to the real world, where his master was already done and waiting for him.
"You are looking fantastic, Master," Kent said, kissing her.
"I am a saintess. Me appearing at an auction is a big deal, in case you didn't know," Selene replied, smiling.
"Then I guess I will be basking in the glory of three Saintesses," Kent said, making Selene frown slightly.

"So she is coming, huh?" Selene knew Saintess Val, who treated her as a rival, was now staying in the Gate Master's residence and had become Kent's servant.
But obviously, the rivalry between them wasn't about to make her suddenly become best friends.
"She will come, Selene. She is now my servant, and though I wouldn't say anything now, I need her in the coming days.
So, try to be friendly with her, please," Kent said, knowing that if the two ladies fought again, his master would wipe the floor with her.
Though he actively gained stat points when they levelled up, Gaia had mentioned that they also received points directly added to their stats whenever he came in them.
So, in a way, the Saintess was monstrous now. She is a level 3 Root Great Sage, but she is several times stronger than the same person in the same stage.
And now, she had also become a body cultivator.
"I will do my best. But if she tries anything funny, I will injure her in multiple places," Selene said before wrapping her arms around her disciple and kissing him.
"We have to go; your sisters are waiting," Kent said, breaking the kiss. Selene pouted but knew he was right.
Two days ago, Kent caused a ruckus in the sect when he invited three beauties to dinner inside the Tasty Home Pavilion.
Unity, Elsa, and Lilian were around that place when Kent and Ingrid arrived. Obviously, the guys nearby were shooting their shots, but nothing seemed to connect for them.
They were frustrated, but they became angry when Kent came and took the three angels with him. When they came out, they were laughing with him.
Then, to make matters worse, he invited them to the auction, which the ladies accepted. This was like a hammer hitting their heads.
The fact that he never considered their feelings and straightaway took the three beauties from them said it all: he doesn't care about their feelings.
Now, he will be going to the auction with Selene, Neomi, Ingrid, Elsa, Unity, Lilian, Val, Mara, and Camilla. One has to give it to him—he most certainly knows how to anger people.
Appearing at the auction surrounded by these beauties will certainly make him the most hated person there.
And even worse, he has enough money to buy anything he wants.
Uncle Drew, who arrived yesterday, pulled up the most majestic carriage anyone had ever seen. Kent had to give it to him—his talent as a carriage driver was something to be commended.@@novelbin@@
He planned on making him his cosmic driver. So one of these days, when he is strong enough, he and the Captain of the night riders will cruise through the starry skies exploring planets and realms.
After picking him up, Uncle Drew went to fetch the Saintess and her disciple. Then, Unity, Elsa, and Lilian were next.
After that, he went to pick up the two Gate Masters and his mischievous servant, who was shocked to see so many amazing ladies around her master.
Once everyone was ready, Uncle Drew left the sect and headed toward Vastport City.
The carriage looked small on the outside, but for some reason, it was spacious inside. Despite ten people being in it, more could still enter.
Inside the carriage, Kent could only smile as he watched his master and Val have a stare-down. In fact, it got to the point where he could see their sword qi clashing, so he had to step in.
"Ladies, though, I wouldn't have a problem watching you battle it out, ripping each other's clothes off; remember that this is an auction, and we are all going there to buy things and spend time together. So, let's calm down a bit.
Also, if you fight, I won't buy anything for you during the auction."
"Tsk, you make it sound like you're rich..." Saintess Val scoffed, making Kent smile.
An hour later, they arrived in Vastport City, where a VIP reception was waiting for them.
What do you think?
