Chapter 292 Center of Attention {Gift Bonus Chapters}
Before the auction ended for the first day, Kent placed the last spider in the shadow of a maid serving the millers in VIP room 12. They shared boundaries with him, so he was able to easily bug them.
And that was how Kent now knew his life was in danger the moment the auction was over.
In VIP room 14, he overheard the plot crafted by Bright Faywoon.
The plan was simple: after Kent paid for the ore he won over the three Metal Saints, they would attack in the evening and claim it.
Apparently, they didn't care if two Root Transcendents were protecting him.
They came prepared, and even long before the auction was over, he had sent messages to their backups, someone in Vastport City, to start looking for the hotel booked by Kent and his company.
He planned to use three more Root Transcendents on top of the two with him in the auction house to suppress the two gate masters and get to the brat who chose the wrong time to flaunt his wealth.
Then, on the other side, the millers he had bugged had other plans.
They were eyeing the ladies with Kent, and from what he heard, they still hadn't learned from their mistakes with what happened to their heir.
This alone started fuelling his determination to get them eradicated within a month. Enjoy new adventures from My Virtual Library Empire
They wanted to get their hands on them and sell them as slaves. From the glint in their voice as they spoke, Kent could tell their son that Alina killed was perhaps a saint.
This made him change his mind about everything. This time, he will give them a nasty surprise. His initial plan was to enter the tower after getting back to the hotel.
But now, things have changed, so he will wait for them to come.
As he moved to claim his bid, eyes were on him, but he didn't care. He entered the small office where a lady with three Root Transcendents as her guard was waiting.
"Distinguished buyer, please wait here while we take care of the order for you." The moment Kent entered, the lady said, gesturing toward a chair.
Kent nodded and sat down.
A few seconds later, a golden box was brought from the inner room. She set it on the table and opened it. Inside is a dark stone about the size of an adult's head.
Kent looked at it and nodded.
He then took out a pouch containing the billion stones and handed it over to her. The lady accepted the pouch with a cute smile.
The percentage they will be earning from Kent's buy alone is more than enough to cover their profit for the entire auction. It will cover the entire three-day auction, even if he doesn't over-purchase again.
"Nice doing business with you," Kent said before walking away.
He stored the case in his tower storage and moved to join his ladies, who had already finished claiming their items.
They then started making their way back to the hotel. It was a five-star hotel that had been booked in advance. Along the way, the auras of powerful people could be sensed following them.
Kent was rather smiling, considering the aura of over a dozen Root Transcendents could be felt locking down on him and his ladies.
By the time they got to the hotel, over three dozen people were following them. Kent led them inside, and shortly after, they appeared inside a large suite where they all had their rooms.
However, instead of entering their rooms, Kent stopped them and asked a question he had already discussed with Gaia.
The plan was to use the auction to get to know the three ladies who had joined the team. Gate Master Mara, Camilla, and the Rude Saintess were the three he planned on getting to know.
He didn't want to introduce them to the tower just yet, considering he didn't trust them.
But things were different now.
The danger following them was not something he could ignore.
They were not only targeting him now. They most certainly had their eyes set on his ladies and the three women with him. Kent, in particular, wouldn't let any harm come to them.
So he and Gaia had discussed the possibility of the three ladies betraying him. But at the end of it, they arrived at the same conclusion.
None of the three ladies had any reason to betray him.
Saintess Val now seemed to have accepted her new home, considering she now had a large pool of money she could use however she wanted.
She wouldn't go against that.
Then there are the two gate masters.
Gate master Mara, in particular, has more reason not to betray him. The first was the fact that Kent would be helping her rescue her sister.
The second is Selene. She was her disciple before she became a Saintess, so in a way, she wouldn't betray the man her former disciple had chosen as her life partner.
Though she would enjoy torturing him, she wouldn't do that now. Kent was just too valuable to her.
As for Gate Master Camilla, she had already fully trusted Kent. This was because of her precious disciple, now trapped and waiting to be rescued.
In a way, Kent would, without a doubt, save her, considering he had already made contact right under the nose of the sect master.
So she wouldn't betray him.
This was why Kent was about to send them to the tower for today. He would send a very clear message to those having funny ideas.
"Ladies, we may have angered some serious people, and now, they are all after us," Kent said, smiling.
"You angered them, not us," Saintess Val said.
"Still, they wouldn't spare you when they come for me, so we are all in trouble. However, I have a fix. I will be sending you ladies somewhere. Now, before we do that, you must sign this document."
Obviously, Akira, who was spying on his and Gaia's conversation, had offered a good plan that required the ladies to sign an NDA. This way, if they dared to speak of what they were about to see, their souls would be in trouble.
The three ladies stared at him with varied expressions, but in the end, they sighed.
"Master, make them feel comfortable," Kent said, sending them to the harem tower and leaving only him on the outside.
"Then again, they are asking for what is about to happen," he muttered. An evil smile appeared on his lips as he vanished into the tower store.
What do you think?
