Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 319: A Heavy Announcement

The lady walked to the stage and placed her hand on Alina's shoulder.

Though a veil covered her face, Kent could tell she was very beautiful. Perhaps she was just too beautiful, and she didn't want people gawking at her wherever she went, so she decided to put on a veil.

'Soon, all these damsels will start wearing veils, or else I will always find myself facing jealous bastards,' Kent thought to himself as the lady took the stage.

"First off, I would like to send my condolences to the Malric Noble Family for their loss. This is a cultivation world, and things like this tend to happen. However, it's always tragic to hear when it does. We can only remember them in our hearts."

Her words touched everyone, making them nod with solemn expressions.

'Tsk, everyone listens to the beautiful lady. But I think we all know they are simps' Kent smiled.

"Now, to the reason I interrupted the auction. I have an announcement to make," she said, looking around the auction house.

"We all know that exactly a month from now, the Pill Master Competition will take place in this very city. We all know how important that is, so I expect we will all be there.

I know I would be there to witness the Perfect Alchemist, who promised to make his appearance there.

Then, two months later, we have the Sect Competition, which happens every three years. This will allow us to select the seven representing our kingdoms in the Kingdoms' Genius Competition."

Now, I know we all will be there to witness the rising stars of our kingdom and also know the seven that will go ahead and represent the kingdoms.

Now, to my announcement.

A month after the Sect Competitions, the Silver Leaf Auction House will be organizing an expedition to explore the Ancient Battlefield of Parting, specifically, the location where the mineral auctioned on the first day was found.

Rumour has it that there is more than one mineral of different uses and values there. Of course, you will find out more in the coming hours, but we will be exploring there.

Now, while I would like to say you all are invited, we will only be adding ten more to our team. This means only ten of you will have the chance to join us, as the Root Sovereign, who will be leading the expedition, can only take ten more with her."

"How can we apply, Auction Master?" somebody shouted from the stands, causing everyone to nod.

"It's simple, actually," the lady smiled from behind her veil. "You can go to the Dark Room and pick any Calamity mission. If you manage to clear it by the day of the sect competitions, you will be added."

"What?"

Everyone who heard the application method instantly lost the idea of joining the expedition. It was like staring at the bum of someone only to turn, and it's your buddy pranking you.

You will instantly lose interest and perhaps attack them.

A Calamity mission.

Something that even Root Ascension Stage experts would struggle with, and she was now asking them to pick one from the Dark Room, too.

The Dark Room is the most dangerous space in every kingdom. That place is where the most dreadful Calamity-rank missions are posted.

In essence, calamity missions are akin to death waiting to claim anyone stupid enough to come crawling.

Even if it were picked from a sect, no sane person would want to embark on such a mission. Then why would they pick one from a Darkroom of all places?

Rumor even has it that a Hell mission was posted there years ago, and because of that mission, hundreds died.

In fact, Calamity missions from the Dark Room are one of the major causes of death in all four kingdoms.

So, if she is telling them to go clear a Calamity mission, is she perhaps asking them to go and die?

"This will be a mission to an uncharted territory where only a handful who manage to touch its borders return. So, the requirement to join isn't something you should think will be easy.

However, those who make it will return with huge rewards. Trust me, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Try your best to grab it."

"That will be all." After saying that, she left, allowing Alina to handle the rest.

The announcement just now was too much for any of them to process immediately. The variables in the announcement were too enticing for many to ignore.

So, even though she told them the requirements were impossible, some still began to consider it.

If they could enter this place with the team from Silver Leaf, their chances of survival would be significantly higher. Naturally, the team would include a Root Sovereign, so they were all weighing their options.

Kent had similar thoughts but was on a different wavelength.

'If I get inside this Ancient battlefield, I'll be able to gather materials for more undead. After all, I still have to deal with the Dark Devil Church and the Hand.

No one will help me, so I must take matters into my own hands and start making bold decisions.'

The ladies around him could tell what he was thinking, so they exchanged glances and sighed.

They all wanted him to be happy, so while Kent was contemplating his next move, they also sought ways to bring him joy.

"Kent, don't think too much. By the time that moment arrives, you will be ready to enter there. We will make sure of that," Selene said, making Kent nod.

His head, now resting on Mara's chest, settled back on what could only be described as the most comfortable pillow one could ask for.

Mara tried to object to this arrangement, but the ladies wouldn't take no for an answer. Kent, however, was very pleased with the setup.

"I have to say, you ladies know how to make a man happy," Kent said, resting the side of his face between Mara's breasts.

"You deserve the best, love," Selene replied. She was the most active in the harem, so the ladies allowed her to devise all the bold plans.

Camilla and Val were also in their usual positions, waiting for the right moment to gather the courage to express their feelings.

In the end, Kent finds himself in the best situation a man could ask for, and it is all thanks to his ladies doing their utmost to keep him happy.

"Now that we've all heard from the Auction Master, why don't we get started with the auction?" Alina asked.

"The same rules apply. If your pocket isn't deep enough to win a bid, don't try to threaten or intimidate anyone.

If you ignore this warning and attempt to intimidate others, you won't just be banned from this auction house—you'll be banned from all businesses owned by Silver Leaf."

Alina allowed her words to sink in before gesturing for the first item to be brought forward.

"For our first item of the day, a Heaven-grade sword crafted by Metal Saint Colins. The starting bid is set at 2 million, with a minimum increment of 100,000."

"The bidding starts now."

And just like that, the last day of the auction was underway.
