Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!

Chapter 561 Prohibited practices

561  Prohibited practices

"What?"

Confusion reigned in the room at his words. Even Isla was confused, as she still did not know exactly why these people inherited abilities that, at some point, belonged to Matthew.

But he didn't want to explain either.

When someone tries to take away their blood-inherited abilities, it naturally requires taking away their blood and more. These abilities are linked to blood and to existence itself, to the essence of blood.

They need to be completely bloodless to take them away, which would naturally kill him or turn him into a fairly powerful vampiric monster who would die sooner or later from his own madness.

Now, this is one of the forbidden practices of the Dietrich Clan. One of Dietrich's main commandments was that extracting the Blood Essence from any living being was strictly forbidden, regardless of whether it was human, vampire, beast, or any other race that might exist.

This was the most anti-existence practice that could exist, and it is a commandment that Matthew knows did not come out of nowhere.

His father did not create it just because he was a good person. It was a teaching of Immortal Energy, a historical hunch that anyone with immortal energy could feel.

Both he and his father were the most akin and those who had the authentic Immortal Energy. This caused them to be the ones who could understand all this, and it was transformed into Dietrich's commandments.

This was a forbidden practice.

That's why he was so furious.

'Clan Hill... You were considered a Saint Clan by design of my Clan, but it seems that your practices have become those of a Demon Clan. Well... Wait patiently, like good traitors; I hope you don't beg for mercy when my fist is on your face.'

He quickly touched Frederick Murphy a little, finding that it would be difficult to heal him on his own.

'My Dietrich blood is purer, but I no longer have immortal energy.' He glanced at Isla out of the corner of his eye.

Making her use her powers as an immortal could reveal that it is not he who has the immortal energy and that would put her in danger. Honestly, he would not like to see her use the powers of her immortality.

That's why he turned his head away.

'My blood has always been more abundant. Let's use mine.' He didn't hesitate to cut his arm and a stream of blood shot out.

It fell on Frederick's mouth and he began to swallow it heavily.

Although his act surprised everyone, no one spoke.

"My Dietrich blood has great healing properties. Too bad it's not like before, but... This should restore him a little. But there's a problem."

He looked at Sophia.

"One of his abilities was stolen by someone outside. You must investigate at any cost to find where that bastard is. I will go personally and rip his skin off to take away what doesn't belong to him. If you want him to return to his full capacity, we must restore that ability, since part of his ability in the Universal Paths was taken along with it."

Sophia stared at him as he spoke and nodded firmly. She wiped away her tears and then spoke.

"I will find him. It is time for those traitors to know the fury of my Murphy Family. Since they dare to provoke us in that way, then my Clan will show all the power we have."

Matthew smiled at her determination and nodded. "You're not alone in this. I'll destroy the bastards who have been bothering me lately, and then after I make Richter see what an idiot he's been, I'll look into where you found those bastards. We're not ready for a multi-front battle yet, but we will be soon."

She nodded and looked at her father. "Father... Will he be healed?" she asked softly.

Matthew stroked her head a little when he saw her like that.

"I promise you, by my name, that he will be back to his best with all his hair intact. I will make those bastards beg for mercy for daring to steal what does not belong to them."

Those words made Sophia feel comforted, and she smiled and nodded, determined to believe in him.

Matthew took one last look at Frederick and made sure he was recovering internally, before turning around and leaving with Alice and Isla.

The Murphys were extremely angry and the alarms in the Clan were raised to the point that the Clan's own ancestors came out of seclusion.

"Old man, I hear that's a real Dietrich."

"...I can see it. His blood frightens me and his gait is impeccable. He was someone of ridiculous power in the past."

"What could have happened? Why did he lose his powers?"

Five old men were talking from the top of one of the Murphy Clan buildings as they watched Matthew leave.

They were the ancestors of the Murphy Clan, those who were in hiding and would not come out unless a great emergency struck the clan.

This time they had to come out.

The oldest of them shook his head.

"No one can understand the Dietrichs. But I'm sure he's that acclaimed Heir of Origin... I just wonder what that name will mean for our abilities."

"Sigh, man, don't make us think about weird stuff."

"Hahaha..." @@novelbin@@

This made Matthew stare at her for several minutes straight.

Matthew walked on without looking back.

"Matt..." Isla quickly stepped forward and held his hand when she saw that he was walking too fast. The palm of her hand calmed him and then he felt the palm of Alice's hand on his other arm, which calmed him even more.

He sighed.

"We're not ready to fight these bastards, but we can still win without too many losses."

"So what are you worried about?" Alice asked.

"...The practices they're using."

"Stealing abilities?"

"Yes. Those are forbidden practices. If they've already started using them, I'm afraid... The Curse of the Dagger will be used soon. And when that happens, it could become a mission that only by getting my Fragments back, could I complete it."

Alice frowned.

"Your Fragments?"

This made Matthew stare at her for several minutes straight.

"Have you ever wondered where the Heir's abilities come from?"

His sudden question caught the attention of both girls. Isla already knew that they came from Matthew, but she didn't understand why.

Whereas Alice didn't know either.

So, she asked, "Do you know?"
