Chapter 31: Extracting D-rank Talent!

Lucian's face instantly changed. "Speed?" but then he shook his head in surprise.

"Invincibility!"

It was a very rare D rank talent that was almost at the level of a C rank talent. If it wasn't for the fact that it couldn't suppress the sounds of footsteps, it would have definitely reached C rank!

However it seems the lady had perfected her talent and had even complemented it with. Movement skill that hides footstep.

Blood suddenly splattered through the air as a dagger stabbed right through Lucian's liver, dying the dark sky blood red.

Blood spilled out from Lucian's mouth and he staggered. "Before I die, can you tell me who sent you!"

The lady grabbed his hair and pulled his head back as she whispered.

"Don't worry kid, we won't let you die yet. The mayor specifically asked us to bring you alive. He wants to enjoy torturing you first."

Lucian cursed as he felt his arms being reduced to meat paste. The bulky man had actually broken two of his arms, just like he promised.

"I'm a man of my word kid. And for almost killing me, I will sever your spine." He suddenly grabbed Lucian and punched him right at his backbone.

"Bam!"

"Eh? Yvonne, this kids physique is slightly weird." The man was surprised he wasn't able to break Lucian's spine with a single fist.

"Stop wasting time and let's hurry up. Its almost bed time and I still have to put the kids to sleep!"

The man mumbled something incoherent as he grabbed Lucian by the hair. He was about to lift him up when he suddenly heard Lucian say.

"Since you have kids, why would you choose to be assassins when you could be earning from killing monsters at the galactic tower?"

Lucian was genuinely confused. The tower was a place of riches and wealth. Those who enter would come out with massive relic coins.

"You think it's easy clearing the floors in the tower? If that's so, why don't everyone just enter the tower and make money? Not to mention forming teams with people, are you sure they wouldn't use you as bait for the monsters, are you sure they won't kill you after clearing the floor and take your loot?"

The man snorted as his massive hands were on Ben higher than Lucian's head as he came closer. "In the Galactic Tower, the monsters aren't the one to be worried about, it's your teammate."

Just as he finished those words, his eyes suddenly widened as he saw the arms he had shattered to pieces looked as good as new.

"Uhn, you finally noticed."

Lucian said offhandedly. However his movement weren't slow in the slightest as his spear materialized in his grip.

"Stone—Puchi!"

The soear stabbed right through his skull, exiting from the back of his head. Even till his death, he couldn't figure out how an F-rank kid could regenerate a whole arm in just under a few seconds.

His mouth opened and he managed to whisper before he died. "R-run!"

The lady seem to have heard something as she turned back. She saw the situation and screamed "Thomas!"

Her eyes widened in shock. Without hesitation, she turned invisible and the fading sounds of footsteps running away could be heard.

Lucian chuckled. With his immense perception, how could she evade him.

Lucian instant raised his hand and grabbed a dagger that was about to stab through his heart!

"You're quite cunning aren't you."

Blood dripped to the ground as the blade started to dig deep into his bones.

Yvonne couldn't believe what she was witnessing. A kid who had just awakened a day or two days ago had killed her husband who had gone through two floors in the Galactic Tower and was also at level 18.

And now, he actually managed to see through her invincibility talent.

She immediately immediately knew things weren't looking good for her. The ground thumped as she stomped her feet to the ground as she activated a skill.

Instantly, her body turned into clumps of dark smoke as she vanished like a ghost.

However, how could Lucian let her go just like that. He waved his spear as it trembled in his arms.

"Dragon roar!"

"ROOOAR!"

The entire puff of smoke vanished as a massive shockwave blasted them apart.

He could then see the faint figure of the lady, carrying her husband corpse as she fled the alleyway.

Expressionless, he grabbed Dragon Soul Devourer tightly as though he was about to toss a javelin.

His body leaned backward as he rasied the spear in his hands and twisted his waist simultaneously.

The spear glowed an intense crimson aura as mana flowed from Lucian's body into the body of the spear.

"BOOM!"

The wind exploded as the spear transformed into a crimson dragon midway. The crimson dragons flew forwards like a bullet as it let out a massive roar that made the entire building shake.

In that split second, the dragon collided with the body of the lady like a missile.

"BOOM!"

Her upper body shattered like wet cement, splattering on the ground.

He left the alleyway and continued his journey towards Absolute Cinema Hotel. He wanted to see if he could reroll the things he had gotten. He was most excited about the meditation technique. It would likely bring him a massive surprise!
