Chapter 302: Chapter 302: Sword Qi of Immortal-Slaying (First Update)

“Thinking of escaping? Don’t you think it’s too late?”

The Jade Emperor sneered. The Myriad Immortal Formation had immense power but came with considerable restrictions. It required at least a thousand Immortals and Gods to form its critical parts, and its activation took much longer than the Zhou Tian Star Dou Great Formation. Yet, once it was established, even a Heavenly Dao Saint would find it difficult to leave unscathed.

There was no way the Jade Emperor would agree to let Sun Wukong leave; he hadn’t earlier, so why now?

Just as Sun Wukong was about to rush to the hidden chamber’s doorway, suddenly, a gigantic black fist coalesced in front of him and mercilessly slammed towards Wukong.

The Jade Emperor and over a thousand Immortals and Gods all flew to mid-air, right below the Investiture of the Gods. The Investiture of the Gods merged into the Jade Emperor, and his figure became somewhat intangible, just like the previous Investiture of the Gods, as if blending into the void. Majestic heavenly sounds emanated from him, transforming into rolling sound waves that pressed down on Sun Wukong—his mere words carried immense pressure.

“Clones, return!”

Sun Wukong’s clone was engaged in battle with the Purple Pole Celestial Honored One, or more accurately, was beating him back, causing him to spit blood and barely hang on. In a little while, he would surely defeat the Purple Pole Celestial Honored One under his rod. “The Sword of Annihilation! This Demon Monkey actually got hold of the Sword of Annihilation! Did he seize it from my brother Cultivation Heavenly Venerable?”

Cultivation Heavenly Venerable Guang Chengzi, too, was among the thousand Immortals and Gods. Seeing Wukong’s clone bring out the Sword of Annihilation and oppose the Immortal King’s giant palm with the Absolute Sword Domain left him nearly popping out his eyes. The Sword of Annihilation had always been in the hands of Cultivation Heavenly Venerable. After the Great War between Immortals and Demons, Cultivation Heavenly Venerable had not shown himself again in the Three Realms. Could it be that he had fallen at Wukong’s hands? Otherwise, how did this Demon Monkey come to possess the Sword of Annihilation and dare to wield its Domain Power!

A glint of greed flashed through Guang Chengzi’s eyes. If the Sword of Annihilation were in the hands of Cultivation Heavenly Venerable, he would naturally not dare snatch it away, as that would mean quarreling with his brother and Primordial Heavenly Venerable would never forgive him for that. This thought heated Guang Chengzi’s gaze. Without further hesitation, he clutched the Wu Gou twin swords in his hands, commanded the sword spirits to unleash the Sword Qi of Immortal-Slaying, and injected it into the Myriad Immortal Formation.

Wukong’s clone was startled and turned its gaze towards the Supreme Saintly Heavenly Venerable Guang Chengzi in the sky. Cultivation Heavenly Venerable had taken the Immortal-Slaying Sword, and it hadn’t been used by Guang Chengzi in their previous battles. Wukong had assumed the Immortal-Slaying Sword was no longer with him. It seemed this old fellow had deliberately kept it hidden!
