Reborn As A Ghost: Time To Build My Undead Army!

As I saw Fiera and Aquamarine become friends with their opponents, I noticed Professor Hendrick already calling for the next students to go on a fight.

And unsurprisingly, it was all of the last members of our party!

"And now, onto the next battles…!" said Professor Hendrick. "Emeraldine versus Cheng Xie! Celes against Ming Lee! And Nyx versus Katokawa!"

Huh! Those were some interesting names, now… It seems they're three Asian kids, two Chinese and one Japanese! This'll be interesting, let's see what they can do.

These are all the last battles before we're finally freed, and I think we've already more or less completed this Trial Quest about Arena Battles for now.

"Uwah, I'm a bit nervous…" said Emeraldine out of nowhere. "Wish me luck please!"

"Good luck!" said Partner. "You can do it!"

"Yeah, good luck Emeraldine!" said Nia.

"You can do it," I nodded.

"Do we even need to wish her good luck? She's tremendously strong compared to everyone else and… Ah, forget it," Lucifer sighed. "Nyx, make sure not to accidentally kill the kid you'll fight."

"Okay!" nodded Nyx. "No accidental killings! Noted pap- I mean, big bro! Celes, let's go!"

I patted her head as she walked towards Celes.

"Show off some of your skills, but not too many, alright? Use your halberd!" I said.

"Sure!" she nodded happily. "It's my Dream Weapon after all, mam- Sis!"

Celes was a bit nervous as well, looking at his mom.

"Will I do fine?" he wondered.

"You'll be alright trust on your strength and do your best," she said. "You also have your spirits to help you, right?"

"Yeah!" he nodded. "O-Okay, I'll go then…!"

"Good luck!" I said, waving my hand.

Once I saw all three of them entering the arena, I noticed their opponents arriving. They were indeed Asian looking. I checked their information while they stood in front of their opponents in silence.

The first was Cheng Xie, a tall Chinese boy with long black hair and a stoic face, with sharp, black eyes. He looked dead serious as well.

He was quite the interesting character, what is that weapon? Endless Magic Staff?

His Elements are also strange, Earth and… Sky? The whole sky? This is weird.

He was indeed calm and almost meditative, yeah.

"Nice to meet you, Emeraldine," he said, greeting her with a calm smile. "I'm looking forward to our match, let's do our best."

"Oh, of course!" nodded Emeraldine. "Thank you, Cheng Xie. Let's do our best!"

At the very least he seemed to be a decent person, so that's alright.

Then there was Ming Lee, completely different than Cheng Xie, she was a small girl, around the same size as Celes or Nyx, she had short black hair and big golden eyes, with a cocky smile. She even had a big red ribbon on top of her head.

"Nice to meet you, you must be Celes, right?" she asked with a calm smile. "I hope you're prepared for what's coming! I am not so merciful!"

"Huh? O-Okay?" wondered Celes. "Sure! Bring it on!"

"Fufu! Your overconfidence will be your demise!" laughed Ming Lee, like a little villain.

She's weird!

And she's so young already…

What the hell is wrong with her parents, why teach her to act like that.

I calmed myself down, looking at the last and third participant, Katokawa.

This was a young girl, with silky, long white hair, and red eyes, she had pink cherry tree flower petals around her head for some reason, but she looked quite charming and cute.

Katokawa had a very calm smile, as if completely unbothered by the entire world around her.

"So you're my opponent, Nyx, right? It is a pleasure to see you. I am Katokawa, heir of the Sakura Family. I cannot afford to lose today, as I must keep the honor of my family," she said. "So please, lose quietly, will you?"

"Eeh! Lose quietly?! I don't think I could do that though!" said Nyx, wondering about that. "Hmm, well! I'll do my best, so I don't end up killing you, ok?"

"W-What?!" Katokawa gasped. "You're already threatening me! Hah… We'll see who threatens who later then!"

"Eh?" Nyx was confused, a bit confused, and I couldn't blame her for that anyways.

She only spoke honestly but Katokawa took that as a threat.

Oh well, that happens because she had yet to have proper common sense developed…

Maybe I should bring her to an actual academy later.

If we can keep this world somehow, maybe just keeping her in here or something would be wise so she can learn and stuff.

Perhaps.

"Now that all participants are ready, the three matches shall now begin!" Professor Hedrick roared. "You already know the rules! The fight cannot last more than five minutes, even if you lose, it doesn't mean your score will be low, and so on and so forth- Anyways, just fight!"

He got bored midway through the sentence…

CLAAASH!

The battles began, and the one that started with a bang was…

Emeraldine against Cheng Xie!

"Ugh…! Wow, that surprised me a bit!"

Emeraldine smiled, although slightly bothered, managing to catch a huge, long staff that almost hit her with enough force to kill her using a wooden hand.

"Oh! I knew you were the real deal, Emeraldine! Let's fight to our heart's contents!"

Cheng Xie jumped into battle.
