"Huh? Where am I?"

Slowly, Nyx opened her little red eyes, glancing around her surroundings, and finding that there was only an endless white space.

There was nothing else here, just a white space, she could feel the floor, but there was no ceiling or walls. She slowly stood up, looking around in confusion.

"Why am I in this place? What happened?"

She slowly stood up, looking around, after noticing her body was fine and so her internal energies, she was very confused.

"Huh… I fell asleep?"

As she tried to remember what had happened, she quickly recalled her memories. They battled that child-like nightmare demon, who killed the instructor.

And then they were sucked into a Nightmare Domain just when she and her mama were about to slay him for good.

"He used his trump card and got us!" she said. "Did we get trapped like before? But mama said it wouldn't happen anymore…"

She kept wondering about that, her mother had said she had prepared a powerful protection, and she now had skills to protect them from getting abducted into other spaces.

Unless… it didn't work on Nightmares, because the Skill didn't count them as other spaces, but simply a different thing altogether?

"Dreams aren't really solid… usually, but… Um, they're solid in here right? So it should work!" she complained. "Ugh, not fair!"

Nyx felt frustrated things ended being this way… But maybe it wasn't that they were suddenly teleported into another space, but that they fell into it.

Like falling into a hole and landing elsewhere, it was by the action of the individual, not the foe… Maybe?

So the Nightmare Demon could have left the hole open, and they just fell through it…

"Whatever! It doesn't matter! I'll find mama and get out of here… Also our friends! Sofia! Emily! Alma! Martina! Are you thereeeee?"

"Fiaaa…! Milyyyyy…! Maaaa…! Tinaaaaa…! Reeeeeee…?"

However, the only thing the girl could hear were her own echoes through the endless white space, she sighed, looking down, touching the floor.

"It's solid, can I break it?"

She wondered if she could do that, but first decided to bring some friends.

She was completely alone right now, but she could still summon her friends to give her some company.

"{Phantom Dragon Summon}!"

FLUOOOSH!

Several dozens of dragons made of phantasmal energies materialized around her, looking at her with empty white eyes, motionless and expressionless.

These were her "friends" ghostly dragons she could summon.

Nyx had no idea where they came from or what they truly were though, but they weren't Spirits.

They simply were "Phantom Dragons".

"Huh, are you guys alright? Nothing weird?"

The dragons tilted their heads, unable to understand what she meant, but they probably didn't find anything weird with themselves.

"Uh, okay! Anyways can you guys talk? I've always wondered that! Oh, and where do you even come from?"

"…"

"…"

"…"

The dragons remained in silence, glancing at her with their white eyes.

Nyx crossed her arms, looking a bit angry.

"Hey! Why don't you talk one bit? We've been together all this time!" she groaned. "I don't want to be alone…"

"…"

"…"

"…"

The phantom dragons seemed to have a small reaction, slowly walking towards her.

One of them extended their hand towards her, petting her little head.

"E-Eh?"

She looked at the phantom dragon, resembling a typical dragon, with a long neck, large head, horns, wings, four limbs, and a slightly fatty belly.

They were all blueish white in color, translucent.

And all looked the same.

"You petted me? I-I didn't thought you would do that…" she muttered. "I guess you aren't just drones then! You're… maybe you're people?"

"…"

"…"

"…"

"Are you dragons that died in the past?" Nyx wondered. "I've always wondered that…"

The dragons remained in silence, the one that had petted her seemed to hold a slight amount of compassion and love for her, more than the others.

It spread its long tail, wrapping it around her body, and lifting her up.

"Uwaah! W-What are you doing?"

As she panicked, she noticed the dragon placed her over their big head.

"Oh! Do you want me to sit down here?"

"…"

The dragon couldn't even roar, and it didn't say anything, nor even nodded, but it seemed that it was pleased with what it did.

"You're a weird one… hehe!"

Nyx hugged the dragon's head, kissing it.

The dragon stopped moving altogether.

"…"

And it shed a tear.

"Huh? Why are you crying?"

"…"

The dragon no longer cried after that, remaining motionless.

And everything was once more just silence.

"Huh… I guess we should keep moving! Don't feel bad, I'm here now!" Nyx smiled cutely. "Let's go find mama and my friends! They're super strong so I bet they're fine, but we gotta find them before the bad demon does something!"

She sniffed the empty air.

"I can sense something faint… Energy. We have to go!"

She jumped off the dragon's head, quickly beginning to run on all fours, her long tail dangling around adorably.

The Phantom Dragons followed her too, floating in the air like ghosts.

"Haah… Haah… T-There!"

She hurried up, running faster and reaching an area with another color than white.

It was strange, as if the white was melting, combining with black into the floor.

It created a strange thing, a pool of white and black color, as if it were made of painting mixed together.

"Weird… What's this place?"

Her eyes squinted, as she imbued her Divine Dragon Aura into her hands, and touched the water.

The phantom dragons panicked, trying to pull her away from it.

"Hmm, oh! It is like Nightmare Miasma, huh? It doesn't hurt me at all though! I'm fine! Calm down."

She started scratching the floor connecting to the pool, noticing it was falling apart into this pool of black miasma.

"There must be something down there, don't you think?"

"…"

"…"

"…"

"Let's go down! Will you protect me?"

The three phantom dragons rapidly merged into a larger one, which then wrapped around Nyx body.

"{Phantom Dragon Fusion Magic}: {Phantasmal Dragon Armor}!"

As the armor had materialized, she jumped into the black miasma, diving into its depths to see what she was sensing.

SPLASH!

A little life drowning in its dark depths.

"There's someone! A kid?"

And there she found them, a little girl.

She grabbed the girl's hand, swimming upwards.
