Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 186 Orc resonance

Now, the two Orcs quickly realized their mistake and immediately stopped what they were doing.

This brief blunder wouldn't have mattered much if they were simply performing their rituals separately and with the same hostility against each other.

However, their unexpected camaraderie led their rituals to coincide with each other into a strange resonance never before seen in the current world. It created an effect that made anyone who listened make their intake of Earth mana increase drastically!

Instead of it simply trickling slowly from the ground, their rituals seemed to have made their bodies into a giant magnet that siphoned the very Earth from underneath their feet!

This effect might have been brief and didn't last for very long, but there was one sharp-eyed Dragonborn who quickly noticed the effects the resonance had on her body.

Sheina felt the Earth mana course through her veins before going to her cores, supplying it with a sufficient amount to finally break through to the next level!

The mana cores in her body suddenly grew another layer underneath, finally starting Sheina's journey as an official 3-star realm demi-human! Read new chapters at My Virtual Library Empire

In truth, the Dragonborns were already quite nearing their breakthrough from the very start. That was part of the reason why they had been playing baseball these past few days.

According to Agnes, one of the best ways to advance their cultivation in Physical Arts was to train their body without using any skills or powers. It was quite counter-intuitive, especially since all the Mystical Arts users they knew improved their cultivation by casting as many spells as possible.

Agnes explained that Physical Arts users depended on their body more than their cores, so it would do them wonders if they trained their normal body for it to accommodate more mana from its surroundings.

In her estimation, she believed that the Dragonborns would break through after a month of playing baseball and sparring every day.

But Sheina was quite surprised to find out that she was two weeks early in her breakthrough. And it was all because of that weird sound that came from the forest.

She narrowed her eyes and saw two Orcs in the metal fences and rightly deduced that those sounds came from them.

Upon walking towards them, the Orcs immediately surrendered to Sheina and tried to ask her for forgiveness.

"We beseech you to excuse our intrusion!"

"Please have mercy!"

But contrary to what they thought, Sheina wasn't angry at them at all. In fact, she was quite excited at the thought of what she might have discovered. Her boss would surely like to hear how the Orcs were able to increase her cultivation tremendously!

While all of that was happening in Neo Orcs, Michael was very busy in the forge, smacking molten metal and molding them into a more desirable shape.

He had been experimenting with the Mithril Artifacts, changing the properties of the mana to imitate the way his new mana flow operated.

It was hard at first. After all, the Damascus Steel was hard-wired to store mana in only one place at its very core. It wasn't like his own body which could grow veins and new flesh to accommodate a different mana flow.

In order to change it, he had to manipulate the very chemical composition of the material itself, which was quite a hard task to accomplish without the proper tools and equipment.

Thankfully enough, Michael had just broken through to the 5-star realm and finally had access to the 5-star spells hidden inside ChatJK3's memory banks.

The spell [Metal Transmutation] allowed Michael to temporarily turn the solid Mithril ore into a very malleable and very liquidy material that was so much easier to work with.

A combination of Dark, Poison, Heat, and Light energy flowed out of his very cores and started to break down the very molecular bond within the Mithril. With his complete control over all mana, he was able to create almost microscopical tubes within the material, which acted sort of as veins of a body.

Although it was possible, it took Michael quite a while before he was able to successfully manipulate a fist-sized Mithril ore into its newest version.

Michael wiped the sweat off his forehead and raised the finished product in the air.

"Boss… that looks magnificent!"

Thrain and the rest of the Ancient Dwarves marveled at the new Mithril Artifact upon Michael's palms. The complexity of the piece itself was so unattainable for the dwarves that they could only compare it to a futuristic type of invention.

"What does it do?" Thrain asked.

Michael wanted to find that out for himself and injected it with Fire and Water mana.@@novelbin@@

Now usually, the combination of such contrasting elemental mana would result in a lesser effect for the wearer. This would have only improved their Water and Fire spells, leaving other spells unaffected by the stat boost.

It was incredibly inefficient, which was why most Rebornians simply chose one element for their Mithril Artifact since they could use it in a more varied selection of spells.

This new version of the Mithril Artifact was meant to change that.

As the Fire and Water mana was injected into the Mithril, everyone saw glowing blue and red particles enter the different veins of the artifact.

They started to infiltrate deeper, spreading more mana into the different areas of the Mithril ore as if two territories were trying to race on which would conquer more land.

And soon enough, the two elements finally met at the core and center of the piece.

The dwarves prematurely squinted their eyes, expecting a bright flash from the Mithril. They already learned their lesson a year ago about looking straight into the piece right before the Fire and Water mana collided. If they didn't want to be temporarily blinded for a few seconds, then it would be best to turn their heads away.

But surprisingly enough, the Mithril Artifact didn't produce any bright flashes.

Instead, they saw both blue and red glowing particles being mixed together, creating a visual illusion of the color violet.
