Chapter 236 Noah City Food District
Aaron found an inn in the city center, with five floors and 50 bedrooms. Among the 50 bedrooms, there were 5 VIP rooms that had much larger rooms and modern furniture.
Because of Aerith's high taste, the woman immediately chose the VIP room over the regular room. Still, it was Aaron who had to pay the rental fee for four days.
The 5 VIP rooms were located on the top floor, with a beautiful panoramic view of the city's skyscrapers. The staff promised a pleasant experience for Aaron and Aerith.
As the door opened, what the staff had promised was true. The room was spacious with a kitchen, a bathtub bathroom, and a living room or lounge.
"It's more like an apartment than an inn room," Aaron replied.
"No wonder the nightly rental price is 50000 RL," Aaron added.
As Aaron expected, Aerith was really happy with the room's facilities. She went to the extra king-size bed and jumped on it like a child, then went to the bathroom and saw something different: a bathtub.
Aaron explained to her about the bathtub. Hearing Aaron's explanation, Aerith couldn't wait to get comfortable in it.
She moved to the kitchen and opened the food drawer, there was a large supply of food that the staff had deliberately provided to pamper the VIPs.
Overall, Aerith liked the facilities in the place. She could even stay forever in a luxurious place like this. Aaron smiled.
"If you stay forever, I'll have to pay all the rent," Aaron said.@@novelbin@@
"That's right. You'll have to pay it because I don't have any money."
Aaron shook his head with a chuckle, realizing Aerith's attitude was really spoiled and sweet. He allowed Aerith to relax and so on, while Aaron would go prepare the water in the bathtub.
As the day turned into night, Aerith went and relaxed in the bathroom, while Aaron was sitting on the sofa enjoying cookies and a cup of hot tea. Discover more stories at My Virtual Library Empire
Thankfully, no significant conflicts occurred today. It was quite tiring for him if every time he came to a place, it always invited new problems and conflicts.
Aaron looked back, looked through the window of the room and watched as the lights began to be turned on simultaneously. Illuminating the city with their beautiful lights.
"If Isabella and the others could see this, they would be very happy," Aaron said.
Food stores and restaurants opened, displaying a large crowd of people coming to different restaurants according to their tastes. Among them, there were still people patrolling in Night Liberators uniforms.
"I originally intended to destroy them at their headquarters," Aaron explained, turning his head to the side to see the Night Liberators headquarters building firmly standing.
"However, their strength is almost comparable to mine. I doubt I'll be able to destroy them easily," Aaron added.
BLAST!
In the midst of the night crowd in the food district, Aaron suddenly focused his attention forward. Smoke and flames appeared in one of the shophouses, spreading panic to the people.
"What happened?" asked Aaron.
The explosion even invited Aerith to come out. Still wrapped in her bathrobe, the woman waltzed out and walked up to Aaron, attracting enough of the man's attention.
"I thought you were going to sleep in that bathtub," Aaron said.
"What happened?" asked Aerith.
"I don't know. It seems like it was just a little accident."
From Aaron's explanation, the man didn't feel any magic boom or any attack from the explosion site. If the man had to conclude, the explosion was likely caused by gas explosions and the like.
Several Sky Sword members flew over to the scene of the fire. With their water elemental magic, they easily put out the fire. The situation was well under control.
"After all, Noah City is the place of the headquarters of the three main groups, no criminal would be stupid enough to mess up in this place," Aaron explained.
"You're right. Those criminals could die without them realizing it," Aerith retorted.
Aaron agreed with her, even though that criminal had a high mage tier ability, but fighting a number of people with high mage tiers would also be troublesome for him.
That was the reason Aaron chose to avoid conflicts rather than create new ones. The strength of the people from the three main groups in this city was terrifying.
Aerith looked down, how shocked she was to see so many people crowded in the food district. The woman really couldn't wait to taste all the food there, from the cheapest to the most expensive.
"Wait, wasn't I going to cook dinner tonight?" Aaron asked, surprised at Aerith's change in attitude.
"That can be tomorrow. Tonight, let's visit all the food stands there!" replied Aerith, pointing downwards.
Aaron sighed. He didn't mind the money, he had plenty of it. However, he was worried about getting too full, and then not being able to accompany Aerith.
Aerith wasn't human after all, the food that went into her mouth would probably turn into magic energy or something. Aaron didn't quite understand.
The last example was when she ate bowls and bowls of fish soup. She showed no signs of being full.
Aerith immediately opened her bathrobe carelessly. Aaron was startled, reflexively closing the bedroom window and curtains.
"Are you crazy?" complained Aaron.
"Why?" asked Aerith, indifferent.
"They can see your naked body."
"Don't worry, I'll change quickly," Aerith explained.
Sure enough, her naked body was instantly covered by a casual T-shirt and pants suit. Her hair that was originally loose became beautifully braided and neat, looking like a mature woman in general.
So did Aaron who wore a casual suit. After both of them were ready, they left the VIP room downstairs. Aerith kept her hand wrapped around Aaron's.
To arrive at the food district, they had to walk at least 500 meters from the inn. From a distance, Aerith's sensitive nose could smell the fragrant odors from the food stands along the streets of the district.
Her eyes were round, her pupils dilated and her hands swayed happily. Aerith could not hide her excitement at seeing the food paradise before her.
With quick steps, Aerith walked away from Aaron towards a food stand, selling spiral-shaped food made from potatoes.
"Potatoes? You can make them like this? Are you an artist?" asked Aerith.
"HAHA! You can praise me all you want, pretty lady. I'm just a merchant who loves art," replied the vendor, handing Aerith a spiral potato.
It was Aaron's job to pay for all the food Aerith bought. He did the same for the vendor. The price for one spiral potato was 10 RL.
While walking, Aerith continued to eat the spiral potato slowly. The warm and crunchy texture filled Aerith's mouth, plus the sweet and spicy flavor of the spices used added to the deliciousness of the snack.
The spiral potatoes were finished, Aerith continued to visit one by one the food stands there. Her steps stopped when she saw a vendor selling scorpions.
That's right! A grilled scorpion impaled on a stick. Aaron moved away, disgusted by it, apparently Aerith felt the same way.
"Is this edible? What does it taste like?" asked Aerith.
"Of course it is, but I can't describe what it tastes like," explained the vendor, handing Aerith one of the grilled scorpions, "I'm giving it to you for free. If you like it, you can buy it."
Aerith never knew that the scorpions that Aaron and she used to fight in the Dark Pillar could become food like this. The ability of the labyrinth scorpion was strong, but she didn't know if the flavor of the grilled scorpion would be that strong or not.
He tried to taste it first, it was a bit burnt and a bit crunchy, but he could feel the meat underneath the scorpion's body.
Unfamiliar, that was the phrase on Aerith's face when she tasted the scorpion. Aerith didn't like it.
"Are you going to finish it for me?" asked Aerith.
Aaron refused while covering his mouth, he didn't want to eat something like that, just seeing it made him sick.
"I don't want to eat that," Aaron replied.
"Well, not many people like scorpions because it's an extreme cuisine," said the vendor.
'Maybe it's more like they all don't like it. Who wants to eat scorpions?" asked Aaron.
Since it was a gift from the vendor, Aerith couldn't help but eat it out of respect for him. However, would Aerith buy it or not? Aerith wouldn't.
The woman went back to browsing elsewhere, trying out the various foods served at the district's food stands. Aaron could see Aerith's hands full of food that had not been eaten up.
The total money Aaron had spent since Aerith first bought food in this district was 160 RL, all of which were snacks and not main meals.
"Exactly how big can her stomach hold that food?" asked Aaron curiously.
Again, Aerith invited Aaron to buy another snack. Aaron sighed, he didn't know what Aerith was going to do.
But if it was enough to calm her heart, then Aaron didn't mind.
What do you think?
