Chapter 240 The Abduction of Elder Rev
"What's your element?" asked the man in the room, looking straight ahead at Aaron and Aerith.
Aaron showed his magic aura, as did Aerith. Seeing a purple magic aura was common for them, as most of them had the element of darkness. However, the maroon magic aura was unusual.
They gasped, looking at each other to see Aerith conjure up magic with a maroon color. According to their knowledge, the maroon colored magic aura was the power of darkness of different levels.
"High-level dark elements?" gasped one of the men, wearing a Dark Legion uniform and older.
'High-level darkness element? I don't know anything about that?' Aaron asked.
"What do you mean, Elder Hans?"
"Do you think the element of darkness was originally purple? That's a big mistake!" said the old man named Hans, to the people in the room.
"According to the book the traveler from Visiri gave us. There are three levels of the dark element. Purple is the standard level, maroon is the high level, and black is the divine level," Hans replied.
He stepped around the round table, until he was fully in front of Aerith. He reached forward politely, asking for a glimmer of power from the maroon darkness element.
Aerith glanced to the side, Aaron nodded. So far, their disguise among the Dark Legion had yielded good results. None of the people in that place realized Aaron and Aerith's identities.
The woman stretched her hand forward, handing a glimmer of maroon darkness elemental flame to Hans. With confidence, she told them all that the power in her hands was unrivaled.
"The power of purple darkness will be defeated by this power. No one can match the power in the entire Dark Pillar Tower area!" Hans declared, giving them a sense of awe.
"What's your name, beautiful lady?" asked Han as he turned his body around.
"Aerith."
"Miss Aerith. Will you accompany us here and organize a strategy to defeat the three main groups? We need your strength!" said Hans, willingly.
'I guessed it, they want to make Aerith a high-ranking official here,' said Aaron.
Aerith glanced to the side with her round eyes, looking at Aaron carefully. Aaron didn't give any response, but Aerith already knew what the man wanted.
She couldn't leave Aaron, even for a moment. That woman was destined to be with Aaron no matter what.
"Sorry. Your offer was amazing. However, I have to decline it," Aerith explained.
"Why?"
"We're a duo. I won't part with him, even if it's an offer to become a high-ranking official of the Dark Legion."
Hans turned his head to the side, looking at Aaron intently. He didn't know what made Aerith so attached to Aaron, there was something that might be different about Aaron, not obvious in Hans' eyes.
"Alright. If you want that, then I can't refuse."
"You guys want to become Shadowless Killer, right?" asked Hans.
Aerith nodded, and so did he. With Aerith's awesome power, targeting ordinary people was not something that suited her.
Hans would assign the two of them to hunt down high-ranking officials among the three main groups, including Elder Kang.
'To trap them, I first need to become one of them. If everyone believes me, it will be easy for me to bring troops from the three main groups to this place,' Aaron said.
"You guys go see Elder Rev, he'll explain your mechanism to become a Shadowless Killer," said Hans, pointing at a middle-aged man sitting in that place.
Rev stood up, smiling at them as he stepped closer to them. He said that he would receive them in his office. For now, they were instructed to wait until the meeting of the elders in the room was over.
Aaron nodded, feeling no objection. Aerith turned to the side and saw Aaron's response, she also agreed with what Aaron indicated.
The door to the elders' meeting room closed again, they were discussing important matters inside that couldn't be heard by anyone, including the people outside the room.
'I can't hear their meeting. What exactly are they discussing in there?' asked Aaron, curious.
"Hey, Aaron," said Aerith, sparking the man's attention.
"What?"
"I have a plan."
Three hours passed, and the meeting room door opened again. Aerith had already told Aaron her plan, he agreed to it even though it was a bit risky.
However, Aerith was nearby. Aaron was confident, nothing bad would happen as long as she was with him.
One by one, the Dark Legion elders stepped out of the meeting room, from Hans to Rev. Rev stood near Aerith, again expressing his admiration for Aerith's maroon darkness ability.
"I'm really amazed at the abilities you have. If I may know, who are your parents?" asked Rev.@@novelbin@@
A person's ability was based on the gift from their parents. If they were high tier mages with the darkness element, then there was a chance Aerith could obtain the maroon darkness element.
"I'm an orphan. I don't know who my parents are," Aerith explained.
Rev was silent, understanding the situation. Instead of continuing to ask about Aerith's past, Rev invited the two of them to immediately step closer to his office.
Rev's office was located on the fifth floor of the Dark Legion's magnificent castle, a floor reserved for those who held the title of elders in the Dark Legion group.
The door to Rev's study opened, the man stepped through first with Aaron and Aerith following close behind.
There seemed to be no one else in the place, it was quite spacious with luxurious furniture, contrasting with the old-fashioned condition of the castle.
"So, you guys really want to be Shadowless Killer, huh?" asked Rev, turning around.
He saw that the door to his study was locked by Aaron. Aerith stepped forward to Rev who looked confused.
"What's wrong?" asked Rev, confused.
Aerith's eyes seemed to glow bright maroon, startling the man. Aerith seemed to emit a magic aura from both hands, then lunged forward to shackle Rev in Aerith's magic manipulation.
"What are you doing?!" snapped Rev, shocked and unable to move.
Aaron stepped forward, standing beside Aerith with his eyes fixed on Rev. He began to show the man their true identities.
"We're not members of the Dark Legion. I'm a traveling mage who was forced into conflict with you," Aaron said.
"My name is Aaron Lewis. Your leader must have talked about me. Am I right?" Aaron asked.
"Aaron! So, you're the one who defeated one of Dark Dimension's high seat holders?" Rev asked.
"That's right. I've forgotten his name, but that battle took place in Lilith City. It was easy for me to defeat him."
"HYAAA!" shouted Rev, emitting a magic aura from his body that could be detected by everyone in the castle.

The security siren sounded loudly, activating Rev's distress signal to everyone. The elders and the best members of the Dark Legion went to Rev's study to rescue the man.
BLAST!
An explosion occurred at the door of Rev's study, Aaron looked back and saw the elders coming, including Hans.
"YOU! What are you doing?" asked Hans, shocked.
"Stay out of it!" said Aaron.
He swung his hand back, bringing forth a dark magic aura that lunged in the form of a scythe.
They tried to hold it back, but failed. Most of the Dark Legion members died instantly, unlike the elders who were only injured.
The red title reappeared above Aaron's head, irritating him. However, it was worth it to bully them. If not done, they would act arbitrarily towards Aaron.
Elder Hans gasped, not expecting that Aaron would be so strong. From Aaron's right hand, he brought forth the Dark Azazel spear, accompanied by black armor that floated on his body. The elders were even more shocked.
"T-The power of black darkness?" asked Hans, pointing forward.
"I am the heir to the dark power of Dark Azazel. If you try to attack me, you will die!" said Aaron.
He simply stomped his spear on the floor, creating a great rumble of magic above the castle sky. People stopped walking, focusing their eyes upwards.
"The intensity of the power is terrifying. Is this the power of a god?" asked Hans, unable to move.
"Aerith," explained Aaron, the woman nodding in agreement.
She tore through the dimensional boundary to bring forth dimensional power. Everyone was stunned, not expecting Aerith to be able to use such power.
The woman left with Rev in the grip of her magic power, as well as Aaron who flew in. In an instant, the dimensional rift shrank and disappeared.
Elder Rev completely disappeared and was kidnapped by the two people. Elder Hans put them on full alert, as Rev knew the ins and outs of the Shadowless Killer operation.
"Alert all members. There is a possibility of a major war in the near future," Hans ordered.
"Yes!"
People began to leave the Black Bough Forest area, while Elder Hans turned around, speaking to the other elders.
"Elder Rev has been kidnapped. It is possible that he has been taken to the headquarters of one of the three main groups," Hans said.
"Only Sky Sword and Dimension Justice have the capacity to silence Rev with the power of their leaders."
"Inform the Supreme Leader. The 50th floor Dark Legion is in critical condition."
"If something bad happens, we need his power to survive," Rev explained.
"We understand."
What do you think?
