Ruler's Awakening: Inheritor of the SSS-Rank Dimensional Talent

Chapter 258 Life in the Upper Town

Nash let Aaron in, right after he checked that Aaron was not a danger to the community in this small town.

The man stepped into the town. As he walked without anyone accompanying him, Aerith was still at the Dark Pillar, watching the area around Aaron.

Aerith was fully aware that the 80th floor was different from the lower floors. Her power might be great, but being away from the Dark Dimension made her magic energy limited.

The best option was to stay in the Dark Dimension. If something bad happened to Aaron, then Aerith would act quickly.

Aaron stepped into the city center. The man noticed the buildings on his right and left, a much different cityscape compared to the big cities before.

'There are no merchants selling magic equipment,' Aaron said, summing up the condition of the city.

The majority of the buildings in the city were filled with houses and a few small restaurants or bars. As for the townspeople themselves, there were probably no more than 200 of them.

'It's more like a village than a small town,' Aaron explained.

He continued walking until his steps stopped when his eyes focused on a bar that was visited by several people. Out of curiosity, Aaron stepped into the bar by opening the door.

There were about 12 people sitting relaxing at the bar, they seemed happy to enjoy the drinks and food available in this place.

"Welcome. I've never seen you in this town. Are you new?" asked a bartender, a well-built man with balding hair.

Aaron turned his head, then responded with a nod. His words were completely true, Aaron was a newcomer in town, he was not very familiar with the atmosphere of this place.

"Have a seat. One free glass for each newcomer," the bartender explained, pouring beer into a glass cup on the bar counter.

The man nodded. He would gladly accept the glass of beer as a gift from the bartender to him, a newcomer to the city.

He was seated next to a woman, dressed sexily and appearing to have consumed much of the glass in front of him —seven glasses.

Aaron glanced quietly to the side, her hair cut short so he could see her face clearly.

Even so, the man witnessed numerous scars on her thighs, waist, back, and hands. Aaron guessed that the nearby woman's ability was the talent of a sword or other weapon.

"Why? Do you have a problem with me?" the woman asked, realizing that Aaron had been watching her for a while. Continue reading at My Virtual Library Empire

Aaron was stunned when the woman noticed his gesture. Aaron downed his drink quickly, trying to act natural even though the woman beside him noticed Aaron's attitude.

The burly bartender introduced himself as Gordon. He had lived in this city since it was founded by the three presidents of the three main groups.

Because of this, Gordon knew the most about the 80th floor.

Including the identity of the scarred woman beside Aaron. He half-whispered to the man, telling him who she was and how dangerous she was.

"Never provoke her anger if you don't want to die. Many people have died because of harassing her," Gordon said, softly whispering to Aaron.

"What tier is she?" asked Aaron, curious.

"He already became an Integrity Knight last month. It's likely that his level is still around 550," explained Gordon.

"Integrity Knight?"

"That's why, don't ever look for trouble with him. Your life is more important than knowing his life," Gordon whispered.

Aaron nodded. Gordon poured another beer from the large pitcher he was holding into Aaron's glass. Aaron accepted the beer and went back to enjoying it as before.

No conversation took place between Aaron and Gordon or the woman next to him. He spent quite a long time at the bar relaxing, until he finished 5 beers.

"Where's Yena?!"

The door banged loudly, startling many people. Aaron reflexively turned his head, a man with a burly body and maroon hair appeared in this place.

He came not alone, but with three people. Two men and one woman. Aaron squinted, seeing the magic aura emanating from the four people.

The man in the middle was at the Integrity Knight stage, he did not hesitate to show off his magic aura to the public. For the three people with him, they were still at the Archmage stage.

'One Integrity Knight and three Archmages. It's a troublesome dispute, I'd better not interfere with them,' Aaron explained.

Surprisingly, the woman named Yena was the one who had been sitting next to Aaron. She got up from her seat and stood facing them.

Her right hand began to emit magic and brought out a unique sword curved like a scythe.

Two swords were wielded by Yena, accompanied by strong magic fluctuations. It caused chaotic conditions inside the bar, the other patrons scattering to leave the place.

Aaron was actually somewhat disturbed by it, but he tried not to interfere. He immediately activated the protective purple magic that wrapped his entire body, so as not to be so affected.

SLAM!

Gordon kicked the table, sending powerful magic throughout the area in the bar, stopping the spread of magic fluctuations from Yena.

Aaron who was taking refuge in the purple magic power instantly came to a shocking halt. He turned his head forward, squinting with his attention focused on Gordon.

'By banging the table, he can stop all the magic fluctuations in this place. How strong is he really?' Aaron asked.

"If you want to fight, fight somewhere else, not in my place!" said Gordon.

"You don't need to use your talent, Gor," said Yena.

'Talent? So that's his talent? But what kind of talent is it? Could it be an anti-magic talent?' asked Aaron.

Yena and the others walked away from the bar, the four people seemed to follow where Yena went.

The situation gradually became conducive, the people inside the bar returned to relaxing as before. Gordon apologized to Aaron, it was common, but this time it was different.

"What did Yena do to make that man angry?" Aaron asked.

"She gouged out two of Yacht's wife's eyeballs. It's only natural that Yacht has a grudge against Yena," Gordon replied.

"Gouged out eyeballs? What happened?" asked Aaron, shocked.

Gordon explained the cause of Yena's fight with Yacht's wife. Aaron listened to every word Gordon said.

In essence, the two people's dispute was caused by a misunderstanding in the distribution of dropped items.

Yena didn't get her share, so Yena rebelled and fought against Yacht's wife —tier mage Archmage.

Aaron nodded, small problems can creep into big ones if not resolved properly, especially since the people in this small town feel themselves strong and able to defeat anyone.

Soon, people began to scatter outside. They heard a strong magic boom that signaled the battle between Yena and the Yacht group had begun.

Now, that left Aaron alone in the bar. Gordon didn't leave because someone had to keep an eye on the place.

"You didn't go to see the fight?" asked Gordon.@@novelbin@@

"I have no business with them. I'll be here with you, Gordon," Aaron explained.

"Call me Gor, they call me that," replied Gordon, patting Aaron lightly on the shoulder.

"Alright."
