Chapter 269 City Ruins
***
82nd Floor Light Stone.
Aaron opened his eyes, it appeared that he was already on a different floor than before. Now, he was on the 82nd floor alone, Aerith would catch up with him as usual with her dimensional abilities.
Initially, Aaron would think that the 82nd floor would look like other floors. However, Aaron's assumption was wrong. He saw the ruins of a city and a castle in this place.
'I'm sure I'm the only human who has ever reached this place. But why are there ruins of a city here?' Aaron asked.
The place was almost mostly filled with the ruins of cities and castles, only a few parts still contained dense forests that held many dangerous wild monsters.
The Dimensional Rift reappeared and Aerith arrived at the place as usual. Aaron turned his head to the side and smiled seeing Aerith coming, but the smile only lasted a few moments.
From Aerith's body, Aaron saw that the woman's body was faintly transparent. Aerith might not have noticed, but Aaron was fully aware of the strange symptom.
"What happened to you?" asked Aaron.
Aerith was confused. She looked at her hands, only to realize that her body appeared transparent. Aerith also seemed to be complaining about her tired and sleepy condition.
She almost fell down until Aaron reflexively caught Aerith's body. He let Aerith rest in his arms for a while.
'Is it possible that she's pushing herself too hard to help me? That could be the reason for these symptoms,' Aaron explained.
Aaron told Aerith to sit cross-legged, the man also sat in front of the woman.
Swiftly, Aaron directed his purple magic from the two fingers of his right hand forward, wrapped around the woman's body and began channeling purple magic energy into Aerith's body.
Aerith knew what Aaron was about to do. She seemed to start relaxing her body and muscles, letting Aaron's magic energy seep into her body.
With this magic, Aaron was able to examine Aerith's condition carefully.
What he felt and saw was that Aerith's maroon magic energy seemed to be drastically reduced, from feeling strong and solid, to fragile and weak.
"What's going on?" asked Aerith.
Aaron was still focused on directing his purple magic forward, supplying a large amount of magic energy to Aerith.
"Apparently, that battle was quite draining on the magic energy in your body," Aaron replied.
"I guess I overreacted earlier. I apologize for worrying you," Aerith replied.
"There's no need to apologize. We didn't know this was going to happen, did we?"
Just as the man was supplying magic energy to Aerith's body, he felt a stirring that rejected any other magic energy coming in more than the original amount of magic energy.
A small explosion occurred and Aaron began to stop his activities. The purple magic aura disappeared, Aerith felt her body more powerful than before.
"Should I do something?" asked Aerith.
"The only way is to let you rest in the Dark Dimension," Aaron replied.
"If I rest there, I won't be able to help you quickly," said Aerith.
Aaron smiled, he reached both hands forward to rub Aerith's cheeks, their eyes met each other's gaze.
"Don't worry. I can take care of myself. I'll be careful," Aaron explained.
Aerith was silent for a moment, then sighed after hearing Aaron's words. It was a bit risky, but if Aaron thought that she needed a break, then he should do it.@@novelbin@@

Aaron conjured a purple magic light on the fingertips of his right hand, then swung to the side to tear the dimensional boundary and reveal a dimensional rift.
Aerith turned her head to the side, then nodded as she kissed Aaron and said goodbye to the man.
Slowly, the dimensional rift disappeared, leaving Aaron alone in that place. His eyes began to focus on the ruins of the city.
'Be careful, Aaron. There's something strange about those city ruins,' Aerith explained.
'It seems that you're not the only one who noticed it. I feel the same way,' Aaron replied.
'I'll be careful.
After preparing himself, Aaron began to fly slowly from the direction of the stone of light to near the ruins of the city.
Along the way, Aaron saw the stones resulting from the collapsed houses and castles. There were no signs of a battle having taken place, no traces of attack-type magic or anything else in this place.
Aaron was shocked, he didn't expect that the ruins of this city would be so vast, he was probably currently above the ruins of a village, part of a large city that had been lost.
The man flew low and landed slowly until he was fully on the ground. He walked forward while his head constantly scanned the area around him.
'Thania, Aoi, do you remember anything about this?' Aaron asked.
The figures of Aaron's two mythological servants appeared before the man, a Nymph and a Kitsune.
They looked at the surrounding area, splitting up to find a small clue that led to the identity of the place Aaron had visited.
Using their powers, they removed the dust and began their investigation of this place. Aaron himself seemed to be gathering magic energy in that place, still feeling and mostly natural energy.
"No way!" said Aoi, drawing Aaron and Thalenia's attention.
Aaron and Thalenia stepped closer to Aoi to find out what was scaring the Kitsune.
"What's wrong?" asked Aaron.
Aoi turned around and was seen holding a stone ark. From inside the stone ark, there was a symbol that Aaron didn't understand, but Aoi and Thalenia knew what it meant.
"This is serious," Thalenia replied.
"What? What's wrong? Tell me!" said Aaron.
ROARR!
A loud roar was heard from that place which suddenly was able to surprise Aaron and his two mythology servants. Read new adventures at My Virtual Library Empire
They turned their heads towards the source of the roar, coming from within the ruins of the city.
Surprisingly, a magical door opened from the barrier protecting the city ruins. Aaron geared up, instantly bringing out the Dark Azazel spear in his right hand.
"Dragon?!" was Aaron's surprise.
"That's right. In the past, this place was a civilization of the Dragon Race!" affirmed Aoi.
'Damn it! What should I do?'
What do you think?
