Bryan’s grandmother, Sophia Lawson, and Austin Hawkins were there. Sophia Lawson opened the door and recognized Carolline. “You’re Dr. Ruiz’s daughter, right? Please come in.”

“Dr. Ruiz’s daughter?” Hearing Sophia’s words, Bryan’s grandmother ran over excitedly, “Ah, it really is Dr. Ruiz’s daughter. You came to see our Bryan, right? I’m his grandma, and she’s his mom. Come in, come in.”

The underlying meaning was that only those who were liked by his grandmother would be teased. If his grandmother didn’t like someone, she wouldn’t even bother to tease them. What a unique and peculiar way to express liking.

“…” Carolline didn’t know what to do. She mumbled before speaking, “When did you wake up? Is anything uncomfortable?”

“I don’t know what time, but it’s been a while. I even drank half a bowl of porridge.” Bryan Hawkins told the truth.

“Do you feel any discomfort in your body? You might still need to do a full-body checkup later.” Carolline didn’t know that Bryan could only do the checkup after he woke up.

Seeing his good spirits, Carolline felt somewhat relieved.

“I’ll go tomorrow. A doctor came by just now.” Bryan Hawkins briefly explained.

“Oh.” Carolline nodded her head.

There was a brief silence in the air, and Carolline felt somewhat tense, even suffocating.

She didn’t know why it felt like this. She thought ten minutes would be short, and after talking with Bryan Hawkins, they should have come back, and she would go to class. But she didn’t know that ten minutes could be so long, especially when the two were alone together and couldn’t find a topic to chat about for a while. The ten minutes felt too long.

“Um…can you pinch my leg for me, pinch it hard?” Bryan Hawkins suddenly made the request, which scared Carolline a bit.
