Chapter 53 World Filled with Mist
Under the shining moon, Chu Wuyao walked calmly through the terrain, with slow but steady steps.
Even though she wasn't using all of her strength, with her current cultivation, her speed was extremely fast.
Soon, she had left the buildings of the Waterflower City behind her and arrived in the wilderness.
While she was walking, she didn't forget to open up the system panel and add her Sin Points to both her cultivation and body cultivation, wanting to enhance her strength as much as possible.
She had previously refrained from doing so, ready to use her Sin Points in order to improve her Camouflage ability, making sure that her true cultivation wouldn't be found out in the sect.
But now, Chu Wuyao would obviously no longer hold back.
Her strength was increasing at a rapid speed, with her realm breaking through the 7th Level of Qi Accumulation and the Blood Demon Body breaking through the 8th Level, but on the surface, there was no change at all.
Suddenly, the sound of grass rustling reached her ears, coming from straight ahead.
Raising her head, Chu Wuyao's gaze landed on a figure that stood calmly at the front, seemingly waiting for her arrival.
This figure was a young man, wearing a set of black clothes and holding a wooden cane covered in white patterns in his right hand.
He had long white hair, white eyes and white eyebrows, and looked as if he had just gone through a snowstorm.
This appearance, coupled with the time and place, made him look extremely eerie under the silver moonlight.
The young man turned his head and looked at Chu Wuyao and showed a smile on his face.
Just when Chu Wuyao thought that they were about to have a speaking contest like it is often mentioned in the books and movies, the man remained silent and tapped the wooden cane on the ground.
Out of nowhere, a bright white light appeared and spread throughout this area, engulfing Chu Wuyao's figure.
Facing this white light, Chu Wuyao's mind went blank and her thoughts slowed down, making her unable to put up any resistance.
By the time she had recovered, Chu Wuyao found herself being surrounded by white mist.
Looking around, she saw that apart from herself, there was nothing else in this land, apart from this white mist.
No trees, no grass, not even soil existed in this strange place.
Suddenly teleported to this world, Chu Wuyao didn't panic but calmly analyzed the situation.
Her first thought was that she had fallen into an illusion, but she soon dismissed this guess when she sensed around and confirmed that this was actually a real world.
"Where is this?", she looked around curiously, but no matter how extraordinary her sight was, it was impossible to see through this white mist.
In such a situation, Chu Wuyao didn't dare to move around and stood where she was, waiting for some kind of change to happen.
Secretly, she was using her new skill, the Mist Domain, and was spreading a colorless, odorless mist everywhere around her.
Since that white haired man had brought her here, he obviously didn't do so just to invite her to have some tea.
Chu Wuyao felt that sooner or later, the young man would appear.
Time passed by slowly and nothing had changed in the world covered by mist, until Chu Wuyao sensed a living creature inside her domain, slowly creeping towards her.
"Got you!"
Her head abruptly turned and her eyes landed seemingly nowhere.
Waving her hand, a spear made out of black flames appeared and she threw it forward, towards the place she was looking.
"Bang!"
The spear cut right through in the air, but suddenly stopped in the air, as if it had penetrated something invisible.
The moment the spear hit it, the invisible creature that Chu Wuyao had previously sensed revealed itself.
It was the transparent figure of a woman, whose eyes were staring at Chu Wuyao with a look of hatred, as if she was the murderer of her parents.
The woman opened her mouth and wanted to say something, but the spear that had penetrated her head shook slightly, instantly burning her to death.
The moment she died, the woman turned into a white mist that blended in the surroundings.
Stepping on the ground, Chu Wuyao's figure flashed and appeared where the woman previously stood, stretching her hand to try to catch that mist, but it slipped right through her palm.
She was ready to investigate further, when her intuition suddenly warned her of danger and she turned around, clenching her hand into a fist and punching behind her.
Her gray eyes reflected the figure of the young man that had brought her here, who had somehow managed to appear behind her without her even noticing.
"Boom!"
Her fist hit the man, but the expected collision never happened.
Instead, the young man shattered into countless transparent pieces that fell to the ground, as if he was a mirror.
It was at this time that Chu Wuyao noticed that many creatures had entered her domain unknowingly.
She could sense that all these figures exuded an aura that was comparable to the 5th Level of Qi Accumulation, and with their large number and invisibility, most cultivators at the Qi Accumulation Realm would have trouble dealing with them.
Sensing this, Chu Wuyao no longer held back.
Her aura surged and a sword made out of black flames appeared in her hand, as she swung it forward and attacked these invisible creatures with all her strength.
"Boom!"
Soon, her attacks caused the mist around to shake violently, as if a huge beast was rampaging around.
****
At the top of a world that was covered in a white mist, a young man stood silently in the air, staring at the land below.
His gaze seemed able to pass through the white mist and landed on Chu Wuyao's figure, who was fighting alone against hundreds of transparent figures.
Every time she killed one, a new transparent figure would appear and besiege her, seemingly forming an endless loop.
As he stared at this scene, the young man's eyes flashed with a hint of surprise.
"I didn't expect that a mere outer disciple would be hiding so much of their strength."
"Did someone at the Original Desire Sect find out about our plans and sent her investigate?", the man couldn't help but think, and was a little happy that he chose to take action personally.
With the strength that Chu Wuyao was currently showing, the young man judged that even cultivators at the 9th Level of Qi Accumulation would have trouble killing her without her escaping.
Only someone like him could be completely certain of killing her.
This was not him bragging, but the truth.
Although his strength wasn't as strong as Li Zhengyu, his actual combat power was as strong, if not even stronger.
"Inside this world, unless a Shackles Realm cultivator comes, I'm innately invincible.", the man murmured and continuously waved his hand, creating new ghosts and urging them to besiege Chu Wuyao.
If Chu Wuyao made a mistake and was injured, or when she was finally exhausted and lost part of her combat power, he would step forward and take action personally.
This was the way that the young man had always killed his targets, and so far, this method had never failed.
"Hmph! Li Zhengyu used to mock me for being a coward for fighting like this, but where is he now?"
"I'm still here, alive, but his corpse is already rotting underground.", the young man snorted in disdain.
What do you think?
