Seven Deadly Sins System

Chapter 66 Treasure Map

After she felt a little emotional about this little episode, Chu Wuyao didn't waste any more time thinking about other people's stupidity.

With a thought of her mind, a bunch of white, transparent substance left the corpses of the three people and flew to her right hand, gathering into a milky, white mist.

Putting away their souls, Chu Wuyao didn't rush to use them, but turned her attention to the red aura that had popped out of the corpses in the meanwhile.

Instinctively, she used the Blood Demon Body and this red aura seemed to have met its master, pouring into her body crazily.

The moment this happened, countless chaotic thoughts appeared in her mind, seducing her to start a massacre, give up on her human way of thinking and lose herself in order to gain strength.

"Hmph!", with a cold snort, Chu Wuyao wiped out these inexplicable thoughts and focused at the killing aura that was raging freely inside her body.

Even though she had already experienced it many times, she still found it somewhat interesting.

Compared to the energy that the system instilled in her body, this killing aura was entirely different.

If the energy's system was mellow and gentle, increasing her strength steadily, then the killing aura was violent, chaotic and filled with rage.

Fortunately, the absorption of the killing aura didn't take a long time and very soon, it had completely disappeared.

Feeling that the strength of her body had increased slightly, she couldn't help but smile unconsciously.

Although she knew that this increase wasn't much, almost meaningless, she was still quite happy.

"Let's see what these idiots have on them..", Chu Wuyao thought and knelt down on the ground, before she started rummaging through the corpses in order to try and find anything of value.

The movements of her hands were quite fast and by now, she was already used to picking up the loot.

When she was finally done, a black flame was thrown at the corpses, turning them into ashes that blended with the dirt.

Looking at the items that were placed in front of her eyes, Chu Wuyao didn't immediately go through them, but her thoughts focused on an invisible, subtle connection she could faintly feel, seemingly reaching towards a far away place.

The next second, something seemed to have noticed her call and a small space crack appeared right above her head, as if a supreme creature was about to arrive.

"Master, your loyal servant is here for you!", an excited voice sounded, and a small black creature jumped out of the space crack and was about to land on Chu Wuyao's head.

"Bang!"

However, a slap landed on the creature while it was mid-air, sending it flying.

"Stop talking nonsense and protect me.", Chu Wuyao ordered coldly, feeling mentally exhausted just by interacting with this stupid cat.

Hearing her order, a serious expression appeared on the black cat, and it looked around cautiously, as if it was taking its role very seriously.

Chu Wuyao's eyes became a little subtle when she looked at the cat she had previously summoned and contracted.

It had been a few days since the start of the sect competition and after she met that powerful tentacled creature, she had been way more careful in her actions.

Even then, over the past days, she had killed many monsters, as well as many outer disciples who had targeted her in order to get her points.

Having killed so many people, she had obtained many souls and had used them as material for Devil Summoning.

However, to her surprise, every creature she had summoned so far was either very weak, unintelligent or completely crazy.

This had to make Chu Wuyao start to wonder whether there was something special about this little black cat, who otherwise seemed stupid.

Shaking her head, she noted this down and was ready to investigate further in the future.

Then, she turned her attention back to the loot.

Apart from the map that the young man was carrying in his hands, Chu Wuyao had also found two space rings, one of them belonging to the young man, and the other one belonging to the male disciple at the 6th Level of Qi Accumulation.

Leaving the more valuable things for the end, Chu Wuyao first picked up the space ring of the disciple.

Instantly, a thought of her mind entered his space ring and explored the man's belongings.

"An ordinary spear, a bunch of useless clothes, the token of the sect..."

The more she went through it, the more contempt Chu Wuyao felt about this disciple.

This guy was arguably the poorest cultivator she had met so far.

If anything, the most valuable thing on this guy was not anything else, but the space ring itself.

"No wonder he ended up following a guy at the 3rd Level of Qi Accumulation."

"If I were so poor, I would also work hard to try and make money.", Chu Wuyao thought, feeling that she had understood his situation.

What Chu Wuyao didn't know was that the man wasn't getting paid at all.

Instead, he worked hard to try and please Yue Huan in order to gain his sister's admiration.

"Let's see if this guy has anything useful on him.", Chu Wuyao muttered and she picked up the second space ring with some anticipation.

As her thought entered the space ring, she became quite surprised.

She knew that this guy, who looked to be the leader of the group should be quite wealthy, but she didn't expect that he would actually be so wealthy.

With a thought of her mind, three items flashed inside the space ring and then appeared right in front of her.

A glass bottle that contained 10 or so pills that Chu Wuyao was very familiar with, a green piece of paper that was covered in complicated runes, and finally, a broken sword, with a large part of its blade missing.

Putting the Qi Pills away, Chu Wuyao focused on the green piece of paper first.

Just by looking at it, she noticed that there was a huge power hidden inside it, and upon touching it, some information about it appeared in her mind.

"Is this a talisman?", she thought as she played with it in her hand.

Chu Wuyao wasn't unfamiliar with the existence of talismans, having personally witnessed Chu Xu using them before.

It's just as as far as she was concerned, talismans were mostly used by members of the righteous forces and it was very rare for them to appear in members of evil forces,

At least, so far, Chu Wuyao had never seen any disciple of the Original Desire Sect have one.

Holding the green talisman in her hand, Chu Wuyao felt that there was an aura inside that was faintly above the Qi Accumulation Realm and became quite happy with this discovery.

While careful, she transferred it to her space ring, secretly hoping that she would never need to use it.

After she put the talisman away, Chu Wuyao picked up the next item, the broken sword.

The sword was black in color and should have been quite majestic in the past, but at the moment, most of the blade was missing, making it look like a broken toy.

Chu Wuyao didn't mind and held it in her hand.

Feeling a somewhat familiar aura on it, she became more and more sure of her previous guess.

"This should be a fragment of a Divine Weapon...", she finally concluded.

Even though this sounded impressive, its actual worth isn't as much as expected.

Essentially, this sword is just a broken part of a former Divine Weapon, with its spirituality having been completely wiped out.

In fact, the power of this broken sword is not even as strong as the Blood Flag she currently had.

"But at least, it is still very sharp and can be used without overdrawing my vitality.", Chu Wuyao judged and held the sword in her right hand, moving it towards her left arm..

As she traced the skin of her arm, the sword cut right through it as if it was made out of paper, completely ignoring her powerful defense that far surpassed cultivators of the same level.

Moreover, Chu Wuyao noticed that there was a faint aura remaining on the open wound, fighting against her body and making it a little difficult to heal.

"This sword can be used as a trump card that is in the open.", Chu Wuyao nodded her head and was satisfied with the test.

Although the sword's power was weaker than her Blood Flag, its advantage is that it can be used at any time, without any drawback.

Your journey continues on empire

For Chu Wuyao, this is a thing she was lacking at the moment.

After she placed it in her space ring right next to the talisman, Chu Wuyao's gaze finally fell to the last item she found on the three people, a yellow parchment.

From the care with which the young man was previously holding it, she was faintly aware that this should be the most valuable item out of them all.

Holding it in her hands and looking at it, Chu Wuyao immediately realized that this was a map, a map of the Warring Beasts Forest.

Based on the location of the large river that ran through the whole forest and the places she had gone through, she was able to quickly find her current location.

She was near the center of the Warring Beasts Forest, on its northern side.

If she were to move straight, she could reach its center in less than a day.

Quite close to her location, there was a place with a golden "X" mark on it, which was obviously the destination of the three people.

"A treasure map?"

Chu Wuyao wasn't surprised by this discovery.

The Warring Beasts Forest had existed for thousands of years and during this time, many cultivators, disciples or not, had died in it.

There were many disciples of the Original Desire Sect that were lucky enough to get one of the inheritances that these cultivators left behind, massively increasing their strength and becoming an idol for newer disciples.

This didn't happen only in the Warring Beasts Forest, but most famous places had inheritances left behind too.

Of course, while there were many people who managed to obtain an inheritance and increase their strength, there were also many disciples that fell in a trap only to die unwillingly.

Regardless, Chu Wuyao had always been jealous of these people, knowing that this was an experience that a true protagonist should go through.

With the map in her hands, Chu Wuyao raised her head and looked at the blue sky, with a faint smile on her face.

"This world should have become aware of my potential and is guiding me to the right path."

"Sure enough, kind people like me will always be rewarded in the end.", Chu Wuyao clenched her fists and said, convinced that it could only be her kindness that led to this.
