Chapter 1296: Queen of Fairies

Chapter 1296: Queen of Fairies

There was a long silence that lingered in the air after the Great Fairy disappeared.

Neither of us said anything as we looked up at the space where the Great Fairy had been floating previously.

I couldn't help going through all of the information that I just received.

But in the end, the leader of the fairies broke the silence by saying, "Human, where do you want us to go now?"

I was pulled out of my thoughts at this and I looked at her for a bit before asking, "Do you want to stay here or do you want to come with me?"

"Is this place close to where you would normally stay?" The leader of the fairies asked.

With a shake of my head, I said, "This place used to be the place that I stayed in, but I've moved on. It seems that the information that you've received is a bit outdated."

The leader of the fairies thought about it before saying, "Then we'll follow you to your new place."

I didn't say anything as I just gave a simple nod in response.

Then I turned around and said to the others, "Let's head back then."

Of course, we didn't leave right away since there was still something else to sort out first.

There were all of these fairies that were in this place.

The leader of the fairies flew up into the air in front of all the fairies and said, "We're leaving with the humans."

The fairies didn't seem that surprised to hear this as they started packing up, though there wasn't really much for them to pack up in the first place. They were fairies that lived in the forest to begin with, so they didn't have many possessions to their names.

The only real thing that they had to do was fix this forest.

Fairies were beings that were made of natural mana in the first place, so when they gathered together like this, the natural mana would fill the place that they gathered in and would create a sanctuary like this.

It was a place that was filled with life energy, which was why the animals all gathered in this place.

They wanted to live in this place that was filled with life energy and filled with plants filled with this life energy. It was a place where they didn't have to worry about food or anything else.

So it was only natural that they would flock to this place.

Now the fairies had to dispel the natural mana that filled this place to dispel the area of life that they created and send the animals back. After all, if the animals weren't sent back, then the rest of the forest would eventually run out of life.

Animals were part of the natural cycle and were required for the development of a healthy ecosystem.

So these animals couldn't be missing from this forest or it would cause death.

The animals slowly started to wander off from this place as the life energy that was here was slowly being dispelled. But as they left, they turned back to look at this place with one last longing look.

The fairies also seemed like they would miss their animal friends.

But they got over it quite quickly as well.@@novelbin@@

It seemed that the fairies was the kind of race that moved on quickly after something happened.

While this was happening, I was standing there watching with the leader of the fairies.

After what had happened with the Great Fairy, it seemed like she wasn't willing to leave my side. Though at the same time, it seemed like she was completely focused on defending the flower that had been left behind.

It was awkward just standing there, so I asked, "What should I address you as?"

"I am the Queen of Fairies, Titania."

I couldn't help being surprised when I heard this since this was also a name that was heard in the game. Though in the game, one never had a chance to meet the ruler of the fairies because they were from a special area that couldn't be accessed.

There were many people that speculated that they were part of a DLC or some kind of sequel, but I didn't get to live that long to find out.

That was why I couldn't help being surprised by the fact that I had a chance to meet this ruler of the fairies now.

The fact that she was appearing in front of me like this really meant that whatever shreds of the plot from the game that remained was completely torn apart. I just had no idea how things would develop in the future.

I could only rely on the pieces of knowledge that I picked up from the game to pave my way forward.

When the fairies were finally done with what they were doing, they followed us back to the town.

I didn't remain in the town either since I knew that gathering all of the fairies in town like this would affect the town as well. It wouldn't be a good thing if all those animals were drawn into the town.

So it was best if we headed back to the capital as soon as possible.

While this was happening, I couldn't help thinking to myself, "Just where are we going to put all of these fairies?"

There was another part of me that could already predict how the prime minister and the chancellor would react to me bringing back all of these fairies. There was no doubt that I would have another scolding coming to me for bringing back all these fairies unannounced.

But it wasn't as if it was a bad thing.

The fairies did have their own specialties that would provide benefits to us.

So it wasn't as if we would suffer that much if we kept them in the capital, it was all about reducing the side effects that came from them staying there.

And as expected, the prime minister and chancellor were waiting for me when I arrived back at the capital.
