This place was very close to the demon queen’s castle. In fact, it turned out that the demon king had only built this castle after finding that item and made sure that the castle would be as close to the mine as possible.

So we didn’t even have to use the wyverns to head over there.

This was good since the wyverns were just too big and would attract a lot of attention. Not to mention that people would certainly know that whatever the matter was, it would involve us since we were the only ones that could move the wyverns.

We headed there in a carriage that Elizabeth prepared.

Other than the castle, there were also many different houses and shops that were built around this area. It wasn’t built in a way that would be considered a city, but rather it was built in a way where it was built when needed.

So there really wasn’t any arrangement in where the different buildings went.

After leaving the castle, we could see that there were still many demons that were wandering around in the night.

Unlike humans that mainly operated during the day, there were many demons that were nocturnal in the first place and didn’t need to sleep during the night. So there were many that were still outside going about their business.

The most prominent of them were the succubi.

They were on the streets in their revealing clothes, calling out to the demons that passed by.

It was clear what they were doing and this was something that happened in the game as well, it was just that many of them didn’t seem to be having any luck. Many of the demons that were in the street seemed to pass by the succubi without a single glance.

It wasn’t that they swung the other way, it was just that they had different aesthetics when it came to beauty.

There were many different demon races that were out there and many of them had different appearances. Since they had different appearances, it was only natural that they would care about different things when it came to beauty.

The succubi were beautiful in the way that they attracted humans, so it was only natural that they didn’t do as well in this land of demons. There were a few that went along, but those were demons that had humanoid figures in the first place, so that was why they were attracted to them.

Seeing all of these succubi here, it really made it clear that this was a world that had once been a h-game.

But at the same time, I knew that they were here because they could no longer do the same thing that they had always done.

They could no longer drain humans because of the peace accords.

They had no choice but to come back to the territory of the demons to try and get their energy from the male demons.

While it wasn’t as if I sympathized with them because they were demons that drained men of their essence, I still had to say something.

"I think that there are ways that we can cooperate with each other. Such as opening brothels for these succubi to work in. As long as it’s consensual, I think that it would work."

Elizabeth raised a brow when she heard this before saying, "Are you already getting ready to cheat on your wives?"

I was caught off guard by this question. I certainly didn’t expect her to ask me something like this.

With a cough, I said, "I never said that I would personally go there. I was just saying that it would be a good way for humans and demons to cooperate in the future. Demons need to find their place in human society and it’s our duty to help them find those places."

Elizabeth narrowed her eyes to look at me. I could see the traces of doubt that were in her eyes, but I kept a calm look on my face as I looked right back at her.

Eventually she said with a nod, "That’s right, since the war is over, there are many things that we as demons can’t do anymore. But we still have to make a living, so it’s best if we find new ways to make a living."

Then with a sigh, she said, "However, we know too little about the human world and what human society is like."

With a suggestive look, she continued, "If only we had someone that knew about humans and demons that could help us think of ways for the demon race to make a living in the human world."

Shaking my head with a faint smile, I said, "I’ll do what I can. I’ll take a look tomorrow along with the mines and come up with some ideas. I hope that you will not mind if I can’t think of too many things."

A smile appeared on Elizabeth’s face again as she said, "Of course not. We are just grateful that you would help us."

The two of us talked a bit longer until we were out of the city.

As for why we were silent, we were both looking out the window at the large mountain that was in front of us.

This was the mine that we were planning to visit, the place where those orbs that held the corruption energy came from.
