Chapter 1328: Strange discoveries (1)

This mountain itself wasn’t that big of a mountain, so it didn’t take long for us to go around it for a general view of this place.

During the time that the carriage circled around the mountain, I had been carefully observing the mountain.

I made sure to look at every little detail so that nothing escaped my eyes.

But in the end, I just wasn’t able to find anything off about this place.

No matter how closely I looked, it really didn’t seem like there was anything off about this place.

In fact, it even seemed like it had been abandoned…

"No, this place was actually abandoned since they couldn’t find anything else in this place. So it’s now that it looks abandoned, it should have been completely abandoned."

I couldn’t help muttering this to myself.

When she heard me say this, Elizabeth asked, "Your majesty, did you find anything?"

I shook my head in response without even turning back to look at her. My entire focus was on the mountain in front of me.

But even then, I just wasn’t able to find a single thing.

It really was as if there was nothing here…

Or at least I wasn’t able to find anything like this.

So I had the carriage stop at one of the entrances to the mines in the end.

"Are you sure that you want to go in from here? Wouldn’t it be better to go in from the main entrance?" Elizabeth asked when she saw that I had the carriage stop here.

I didn’t explain myself as I headed towards the entrance.

The other carriages that had been following behind mine stopped as well and Klein and the others came out. They didn’t say anything as they quickly followed me into the mine, as if they were prepared to protect me no matter what happened.

As we walked into this cave, one had to admit that it was a bit scary.

Going into a dark cave in the middle of the night like this would be scary no matter how brave a person was. But the cave was soon lit up as they pulled out lanterns that they lit up.

Spreading out around me, it didn’t take long for this cave to be completely lit up.

At the same time, this cave wasn’t that deep, so there wasn’t much space for us to move in before we came to a stop.

Elizabeth explained from the side, "There are many different small caves like this since there was no set order for the mines. They just dug wherever my father told them to dig until they found what they were looking for. There are some caves that are connected, but that’s only because there were collapses from the structural failures that were caused by the caves. The rubble had to be cleared out or else it would have been dangerous."

She shook her head with a sigh after she said all this.

It seemed that she didn’t support what her father did, it seemed that she was quite ashamed of how this mine was created.

But I didn’t pay any attention to her explanation as I focused on what was in front of me.

Or rather, I was focused on the lack of things that were in front of me.

I was focused on the empty cave that was there.

The reason that I chose this small entrance instead of the big entrance in the first place was because this was a place that few people had visited.

If one was looking for things, they would naturally go to the main entrance since they would think that this was the place where everything was. But if everyone thought the same thing, it was only natural that they would have already discovered everything that needed to be discovered.

It meant that there was nothing left for me in the main entrance.

This small cave was where the things that I was looking for would be.

But it really didn’t seem like there was anything that was here.

After silently thinking about it, I finally took out the Orb of the Dead.

One might think that this Orb of the Dead didn’t have anything to do with this place, but this Orb of the Dead had helped me find those orbs in the past. That was because the corruption energy from the orbs was similar to the energy from the Orb of the Dead.

So this Orb of the Dead could be used as a kind of scanner for things like this.

But in the end, I didn’t get the reaction that I wanted.

I did get a reaction from using the Orb of the Dead, but it certainly wasn’t what I was expecting to find.

Following the reaction that I got, I went over to the side of the cave and dusted off a few rocks until I finally found the thing that I was looking for.

It was a very small thing, one that would have been very easy to miss. But there was this small white rock that was uncovered after I brushed off the dust that was in this place.

"What is that?" Klein asked me with a confused voice.

"It’s just a normal rock, isn’t it?" Elizabeth asked with a similar confused voice.

Neither of them could understand why I was attracted to this small piece of white rock.

"It’s bone." I said in response to the two of them. Read new chapters at NovelBin.Côm

Everyone looked at me with a strange confused look when they heard this.

There were also traces of disbelief that were in their eyes as they looked at me.

It wasn’t that they didn’t want to believe me, it was just that it was hard for them to believe me.

"The mana has been drained from it, but there’s no mistaking the fact that it’s bone. It seems to be the bone of some kind of demon." I said while holding the piece of bone in front of the Orb of the Dead.
