Chapter 583 582: Asleep
The vast plains were silent for a seemingly long time, but in actuality, it was just three seconds.
Everybody's attention was on the Prince of the Supreme God Empire, and what appeared in the hearts of 99% of the Tainteds, Outsiders, Chosens, and Underworld Prisoners, was a feeling of inferiority as they gazed at Eryndor Castiel.
Eryndor's head moved, and then he looked at each and every group, almost like he was inspecting goods that had been placed before him.
When Corey saw this, a faint feeling emerged in his heart, and he quickly took a subtle step behind Divine with his head hung low and his eyes closed. Although he was taller than Divine, Corey had this feeling that he needed to do this.
He even reduced his aura and presence to the lowest point he could, making him barely noticeable even to Divine and Melissa who stood beside him.
Divine and Melissa were confused by Corey's actions, but they were smart enough not to make any unnecessary movements or to ask any questions.
Eryndor's golden eyes moved from one group to the other, spending exactly one second on one group before looking at another group.

When his eyes landed on the group which was led by Lucian Volcaris of the House of Hellfire, a strange glint flashed in his eyes when he saw Rosa. However, he didn't use more than a second to gaze at the group.
His head continued moving, and when he reached Prince Zeran's group, his eyes paused on Prince Zeran for a fraction of a second before they moved towards Divine.
Surprisingly, he spent a second looking at Divine before shifting his gaze away with a strange light in his eyes.
"Good." Eryndor nodded with an indifferent expression, and then he walked towards the temple without saying anything.
Despite Eryndor no longer facing the groups, Corey did not dare look up or take a peek at the Prince of the Supreme God Empire.
"Stay here, and wait for me." Prince Zeran's voice drifted into his ears, and Corey glanced at the Prince. He saw the Prince looking at him with a suspicious gaze, but Corey's expression remained the same and he did not look away from the Prince.
The Prince hummed softly, and then he left the group, joining the eleven other Chosens as they walked towards the temple.
Divine and Melissa looked at Corey, and Corey looked at them with raised brows that said, 'What's wrong?'
Divine's lips twitched when he saw Corey's confused expression, and although he wanted to say something, he decided not to. He knew Corey had his secrets, and because of how unique Corey was, he would not be surprised if the Prince of the Supreme God Empire would be able to sense something in Corey that he could not.
Divine scratched his head with a frustrated sigh, and then he glanced at Rosa and Fatty Black Bonez with an annoyed expression.
Seeing that Divine was not asking any questions regarding Corey's previous behavior, Melissa also decided to keep quiet.
Corey exhaled softly with a tinge of relief when he saw that Divine and Melissa were not planning on asking him any questions. He was grateful for this because if they had asked him questions, he would not be able to give them answers.
In truth, the reason why Corey decided to hide himself was not because his instincts warned him to or because he had a faint premonition that something bad would happen if he did not. It was all because Eryndor was from the Supreme God Empire.
After seeing the status window of Azhrun Tydral which showed that he was affiliated with the Supremes, Corey had been wary of Chosens who were affiliated with organizations that had the title, Supreme, in them.
Corey merely thought that organizations like the Supreme Sea Kingdom, the Supreme God Empire, and the Supreme Sword Sect which had the name 'Supreme' in them were merely to show how great they were.
However, after seeing Azhrun's status window, he started thinking otherwise.
After what Divine told him about the ranking of organizations and from the way everybody reacted in the mere presence of Eryndor, Corey knew that Eryndor was much much stronger than Azhrun, and with him being the Chosen of the Supreme God Empire which was a top tier Empire, Corey was certain that Eryndor at the very least, the Supreme God Empire knew about Paragons and Supremes.
He had no idea if Eryndor would be able to sense either the Paragon bloodline in him or any of the secrets he had in him even with Nina's help, but he was not willing to take any chances, which was why he hid his presence as much as possible.
'I wonder if he has the blood of a Supreme in him. Would I be able to sense it if he did?'
Although Corey knew he could ask Nina, he decided otherwise. He had made it a habit to not rely on Nina unless he had no other choice.
Corey's violet-blue eyes were fixated on the ruined temple, and a deep pondering light could be seen in his eyes as he stared at the ruined temple. Some seconds later, and to his surprise, he yawned.
'Am I tired?'
Although Corey was surprised by his yawning, he didn't think too much about it. Instead, his mind was on a very important discovery he made regarding the Prince of the Supreme God Empire.
Eryndor Castiel was a sinner.
Corey could sense the aura of sin hovering around Eryndor, and the sinful aura was not small by any means.
Eryndor was not like him who was a sinner because he had the bloodline of Paragons. From what he could sense, Eryndor did not have to go through the tribulations of hell like him and other Paragons.
He was somebody who had committed so many atrocious and evil deeds to the point that a dense cloud of sinful aura was around him.
'I wonder how much my luck would increase if I'm able to kill him.'
A smile of self-mockery appeared on his lips when he had this thought. He shook his head, and then he yawned once again.
'If I kill him, I'm sure the entire universe would come for my head, and only the Paragons would be able to save me.'
Corey smiled, and then he yawned again. He turned and looked behind him to gaze at his main goal and his main reason for joining the raid against the Titan.
'The Stairs of Ascension.'
A golden glow reflected in Corey's eyes as he gazed at the Stairs of Ascension which was behind them. He yawned absentmindedly once again, and just as he was about to observe the Stairs of Ascension in all its beauty, he noticed something.@@novelbin@@
Everybody in front of him was on the ground sleeping.
'Huh?' Corey blinked, unable to comprehend just what was happening, his mind which was his most powerful weapon felt extremely sluggish to think about what was going on.
He turned, wanting to look at Divine and Melissa, but just as he turned, he yawned once again, and then his eyes slowly closed.
Before his eyes fully closed and his mind fell asleep, he saw the figures of Divine and Melissa on the ground, asleep like the others.
His body swayed, and he slowly fell to the ground.
'What… the… hell… is… happening?'
Bam!
Corey's head and body slammed into the ground, and then he too fell asleep.
What do you think?
