Chapter 677: 676: Seventh Epoch
When Divine saw Corey's reaction and frustrated expression, he was taken aback at first, but then a light smile appeared on his lips.
"Are you feeling frustrated and overwhelmed by everything I've been saying?"
"Well, it's understandable. A normal person your age would feel overwhelmed by everything you just heard."
Corey looked up and gazed at Divine through his fingers with indifferent eyes.
Divine tilted his head slightly and blinked with a baffled expression.
"What? Is anything on my face?"
Corey stared at Divine for a few more seconds, and then he sighed as he lowered his hands from his face.
"How old are you, Divine?"
Although Corey was troubled by the visions he just saw, he decided to push each of the visions, his thoughts, and his emotions to the back of his mind.
Deep in his heart, he hated the way he was feeling. He hated the uncertainty that was engulfing his mind and his indecisiveness, and because of this, he wanted to think more on his decision.
If not for his Stars of Consciousness, he was certain that he would not be able to control his expression, voice, behavior, and attitude in front of Divine.
At times like this, he was truly grateful for his talent but at the same time, he also felt like a robot.
"How am I?"
Divine was taken aback by Corey's question, and he looked at Corey with furrowed brows.
"My age does not matter. All that matters is that in my past life, I could be your great great great great great great great greattttt grandfather."
"That doesn't change anything or the fact that you'll always be a kid in my eyes... Kid."
Divine smiled at Corey, and Corey's lips twitched.
'It changes a lot of things, Divine.'
'Cause if Kyle was your older brother, then that means the possibility of me being older than you is high.'
'If Kyle was not lying to me, then he was just a year older than me. I'm currently nineteen, almost twenty.'
'The chances of Divine being older than me is low. Also, I have a past life and I'm a million percent certain that my past self lived far longer than Divine ever lived.'
'I mean, I even fought and died to the Supreme Ancestor in my past life.'
'Which means that I'm older than Divine in everything. Soul, body, and mind.'
A light smile appeared on Corey's lips as the way he looked at Divine changed.
Divine noticed this, and for some reason, he felt threatened by Corey's smile.
Divine narrowed his eyes, but before he could speak, Corey asked another question that he suddenly thought of but couldn't find an answer to.
"So, with everything you said, does it mean that the House of Divine is from New Earth? Because I know that you told me that Outsiders and Half- New Earthlings are not able to make wishes."
The reason why Corey asked this question is because from Divine's words and also from what he knew, Kyle and Divine were able to make wishes before the day of the apocalypse which should be impossible when Corey thought about it.
The House of Divine was a notable and powerful force in the universe, and if this was so, that meant they were Outsiders.
If they were Outsiders and they decided to procreate with the denizens of New Earth so that they could battle for the core of the world, people like Divine and Kyle should be New-Earthlings and they should not be able to make a wish.
However, both of them could make wishes.
'But Divine does not have a talent. Does that mean that he didn't wish for a talent but he wished for something else?'
Corey looked at Divine with a curious expression. Meanwhile, Divine had a stunned expression after hearing Corey's question.
"I didn't expect you to ask that question. But I should not be surprised, you're perceptive and smart."
Divine chuckled, and then he continued speaking.
"To be honest, I can't really answer that question because I'm not completely sure myself. But what I do know is that my family has roots in New Earth."
Corey raised his brows with a confused and curious expression, "How is that possible? Our planet just awakened and I'm sure that your family must have been created thousands of years ago."
Divine nodded, "That's very true. Our family has been around for almost eighty thousand years."
Corey's eyes widened in shock, but Divine only nodded.
"It might sound like a very long time but compared to other forces like some Kingdoms, Empires, and even Associations that have been around for more than a million years, our family is like a child to them."
Corey's eyes flashed with an excited and curious light at Divine's eyes, and he realized that there was one thing he had ignored whenever he searched for information in the books he recorded from the Outer and Inner Libraries, and also from the E-Underworld.
And that was regarding lifespans and time.
'I subconsciously ignored anything related to life span and time because deep in my heart, I always have this immense belief in myself that I would never have to worry about my lifespan running out because I'll always keep on advancing no matter what.'
'I should not ignore it anymore.'
As Corey had this thought, Divine kept on talking.
"Well, as I was saying. My family has roots in New Earth, and it was my brother that told me this when he was the family head in my past life."
"According to him, the roots we have in New Earth are related to the extreme past of New Earth. When New Earth was not called New Earth but Earth."
Corey furrowed his brows in confusion when he heard this, and he could not help but become confused.
"When New Earth was called Earth? How come I've never heard or read anything about that?"
"Because it has been wiped away from our history." Divine looked at Corey with a solemn expression, and then he continued speaking.
"From what I know, our family has roots from the fourth Epoch of New Earth."
Corey tilted his head to the side with a curious expression, "Fourth epoch? I've never heard of that."
Divine shrugged with a light smile, "I don't know much about it also, but what I know is that we're in the seventh Epoch."
What do you think?
