Chapter 72: Strong
"Don't give up yet," Enzo replied.
His hand did not stop pointing downwards.
In addition to trying to control the fireball, he also used Omni Scale to shrink its size.
When he used two skills at once that practically drained his stamina, only then did the results show.
The fireball shrank quickly, and the heat was reduced.
When it was smaller, it was easy for him to control it.
He made it stop chasing them.
However, something came after that, a sword reaching 200 meters in length, swinging towards them.
"Human, die!" A loud shout resounded as the sword appeared.
To Enzo, the figure behind the sword caught his attention more.
It was a giant frog, enormous.
Its body was red and it was even wearing clothes.
What surprised him even more was the large cigar in its mouth, making him wonder if it was really a monster.
Monsters might not look like that.
DING!
(Level 20 Demon Frog
- Status: Boss!)
Enzo received a notification right when he saw it and it really was Level 20.
And it did seem to be injured.
There was a hole in its chest, still wet and bleeding.
Enzo didn't know what the attack mark was, but it was obviously a very strong attack.
In a little bit, it would hit its heart.
The Awakener Master who attacked this frog probably also had a very strong skill.
For this sword attack, Enzo didn't feel that it was as dangerous as that fireball.
His ten spears were lined up in front of him, serving as a barrier for the sword.
Clang! Clang!
The sword slammed into them, making them shake but unable to make them retreat because Enzo had already channeled a lot of his Primordial Energy into them.
Moreover, the frog had already entered Rebecca's domain. Its strength was weakened compared to last time.
However, it seemed to be very angry at being disturbed. It didn't care about the domain, continuing to try to attack.
After failing with its sword, its mouth exhaled a huge amount of smoke, instantly filling the air with smoke.
Enzo and Rebecca's sight wasn't so disturbed, but the presence of the smoke made them uncomfortable as the breath they breathed was mixed with the smoke.
"Enzo, I'm going to attack," Rebecca said suddenly.
Enzo was somewhat surprised to hear that, looking at her only to find her pulling out a lion head.
When she released it, it suddenly became very large, almost as big as the frog itself.
The problem was that it was just the head.
Enzo didn't know what kind of artifact it was, but without a doubt it was something of very high value.
After reaching a large size, the lion's head opened its mouth.
ROAR!
It suddenly roared very loudly, so loud that Enzo trembled and his ears became sore.
Who knew what would happen if the roar was directed at him.
Fortunately, it was aimed at the giant frog.
The roar produced shockwaves that could be seen with the eyes, showing how powerful it was. Find adventures on My Virtual Library Empire
Even the surrounding smoke was swept away by the roar and the shockwave hit the frog hard, knocking it into the valley until an area of more than 1 kilometer collapsed.
After roaring, the lion head returned to its small size, suddenly looking like it had lost its strength.
It obviously used up a lot of Primordial Energy in its use and had to be replenished again after use.
Rebecca deposited the lion head into her Dimension Artifact as she said, "attack with your full power!"
Her voice was too loud for Enzo, showing that she didn't want this opportunity to go to waste.
Of course, he acted immediately.
All ten of his spears shot towards the frog with a layer of wind that increased their speed.
He sent them into the hole in the frog's chest, hoping that they could kill it outright by piercing its heart.
They were not the only attacks he sent.
He controlled the ground beneath the frog to pin it down.
Since it was collapsed, the frog was in the middle of a hole. He only needed to push the edges of each hole to pin the frog down so that it would have trouble moving.
Rebecca looked excited when she saw the attacks, as if she was optimistic that this would work.
Of course, the sooner they killed it the better as any delay could result in another unforeseen event.
Unfortunately, things were not as easy as they imagined.
The frog suddenly stuck out its tongue and it lengthened and enlarged, becoming enormous and blocking Enzo's spears.
Xiu! Xiu!
The spears stuck to the frog's tongue, yet it still looked in pain as it used its tongue to block ten sharp spears.
It even spurted blood when Enzo pulled out the spears.
After that, the frog even managed to jump off the ground.
"Little humans, I will swallow you alive!" It shouted angrily and opened its mouth.
However, it did not try to swallow them as it had said.
Its mouth suddenly spouted fire again. This time, it was not a fireball, but a jet of lava similar to volcanic vomit.
Of course, it was much hotter.
The sky turned red from the glow of the lava.
"This is bad," Rebecca said, realizing that they faced a greater danger.
"We have to survive, my Shadow Clone will attack that frog. It can't possibly avoid it now," Enzo replied.
His eyes narrowed sharply as he thought of a way to stop the lava.
Dodging was completely impossible because the lava was spewing too fast, faster than the wind he could control.
And the lava was even harder to control than the fireball before.
This made Enzo realize even more that the level difference would make him unable to fully control something coming from the opponent.
If he had a level, it was only at Level 16 or 17 at best, still lower than that frog.
When the one he was fighting was a Monster Boss, this level difference was significant.
"I have a shield, but it won't last long against this lava, but maybe it can last longer if you make it bigger," Rebecca said suddenly as she took out a sizable silver shield, shaped like a plate with a handle behind it.
Seeing that, Enzo's eyes lit up.
"You should have taken it out earlier," he said.
What do you think?
