"I didn't just want to leave Silva, but I couldn't stay anymore. We underestimated that kid too much. We don't understand him, but I got to see a side of that kid that sent shivers up my spine.

He was more powerful than I expected. His strength truly rivals the demon king's already, if not surpasses it, as crazy as it sounds.

"You can't doubt my ability to predict future happenings, Velora. As much as I can't tell you the details of what it is that I see, Silva is not really someone that our powers and strength can touch anymore.

Everyone went quiet after hearing what Elaine had to say. There was no way that Elaine would make up such a story.

"You mean to say demon candidate Silva is more than just a demon candidate, and there is more to him?" Daegon asked.

"Didn't we all already know that? He is a dark dragon, one that spawned from a human parenthood. He was not supposed to have such abilities.

Yet it seemed that the goddess gave him some sort of legacy that made him into a dragon—and a dark one. All of us have access to the history books, and we all know what the first dark dragon was.

He was the first being to become a demon lord, the strongest to exist, and after that, he broke free of this world somehow, and that's where his story ends.

What if he died somewhere? The world beyond—we know nothing about that. And from what I saw, that world outside had more dangers than we could think.

So it's very possible that the dark dragon, the demon lord, died. But he was supposedly the strongest, and now the goddess wants to create a new dark dragon demon lord, one stronger than the last.

So that's Silva—his beginning, his way of doing things, his growth—all this lines up with the possibility that the goddess was simply trying to recreate the dark dragon demon lord and actually make a better version.

So what I think is that it is impossible to actually stop Silva. He would rather die than follow what we have to do because someone stronger and greater has already given him instructions to follow.

Either those instructions are what are driving him, or he wants to go against that person and is refusing to do what she said by doing what he wants.

If any of you had as much time as I have had with that kid, you would know that he has a process to everything. He has some sort of plan that we don't see," Elaine explained.

The room went quiet again. No one spoke for a bit, and then Velora spoke up. "We understand what you are saying, and it might be true, but the main issue is that the war has already started.

Let's leave Silva be and follow the code that we are all bound to. We should fight the war that we are to fight. Silva will become a demon lord in weeks or less, and we will have to pass the responsibility down to him.

"Fine, the issue of Silva is set aside for now," Daegon said. He stood up and walked to the center.

"Now, about the war—you know we already have the lead in it, right? We just have to drag it along until the next generation takes our seat.

When they do, the advantage will be fully in their hands because the heroes will be one person down.

And with some luck, Silva might actually buy enough time to make the demon kings finally win this fight and end the war.
