Chapter 232: Stern advise to Daniel and Betsy
Central University 14:
Jeremy collected his thoughts. He wanted to see what Billy was going to do now. He resumed walking just as he was about to walk past them. He thought Billy would stop him.
Instead, he simply gave a cold smile toward me. My eyes narrowed. I knew something was up. I turned around to leave.
Billy said, "He is lucky. If he goes to the wilderness next time, it will be his last day."
He just came here to check on Jeremy Night because his butler was unable to contact the Mercenary Team. He thought they had missed the target because of the Tier-5 Worm Beast appearance yesterday.
But it's been several hours since that incident, and there has been no response from them so far. So he thought he could get a clue after seeing Jeremy Night.
Yet he wasn't able to succeed. He found Jeremy Night's expression rather calm. It showed that the Mercenary Team hadn't caused trouble for Jeremy Night. Otherwise, Jeremy Night would have reacted.
"What happened to them?" Billy asked himself.
He then glanced in the direction of Jeremy Night before leaving.
Meanwhile,
Jeremy Night reached the department building a few minutes later. When he entered the class, he met Betsy Lowe and Daniel Stone.
"Brother Jeremy, did you see the worm beast?"
"You didn't come yesterday," Daniel Stone said.
Betsy Lowe perked up her ears as well. She thought that Jeremy might have seen the Tier-5 Worm Beast.
Jeremy smiled and observed their reactions. He decided to hide the truth.
He said, "I returned early yesterday. Only after coming back did I watch the incident on live stream."
After saying that, Jeremy Night sat in the chair. He told an easy lie. If he revealed the truth, they would be terrified in their hearts.
City A is not as safe as everyone else thinks. There is a worm beast territory in the wilderness. For some reason, the worm beasts haven't attacked their city so far, but he thinks those days are not far.
"Brother, what are you thinking?" Daniel Stone asked.
He thought Brother Jeremy was not paying attention.
Jeremy collected his thoughts and turned toward them.
"On the way here, I saw senior students. They are from the 2nd year Attack Department. Did they cause any problems for you?" Jeremy asked.
Hearing that, Betsy's eyes flickered in understanding. Now she understood why Jeremy Night looked lost.
Daniel Stone nodded his head as well.
He then said, "Brother, you are right. They have already created problems. The 1st year Attack Department students are not speaking to us anymore."
"They were afraid of their seniors," he added.
"Not only them, but students from other departments are slowly following their pattern as well," Betsy said with displeasure.
Obviously, she had a bad experience with the female students.
Hearing that, Jeremy understood that the senior students had started acting. If not for his strength, the students from other departments would have targeted these two.
"Be careful when I'm not here. Don't trust senior students. If you feel anything suspicious, do contact me. There are a lot of things happening, but I can't tell you."
"So focus on increasing your strength," Jeremy advised them.
He was confident about defeating senior students. He had even killed Tier-3 and Tier-4 Corrupted Beasts. So he was not even afraid of 3rd and 4th year students.
Daniel Stone was left speechless and scared. But he knew he couldn't help Jeremy Night at all with his strength.
"If they truly mess with me, then I'll inform my grandfather," Betsy said.
Hearing that, Jeremy frowned.
He said, "Don't think about doing such foolish things unless it's necessary. I have checked the backgrounds of some of the senior students."
"Their families are not strong. Some of their parents work for companies that have business in other zones as well."
"And I'm not sure how far Dean Carolyn is willing to support us. As far as I know, she must be unwilling to offend these people. That's why the senior students are behaving this way."
Daniel Stone and Betsy Lowe were dumbfounded. Obviously, she hadn't thought about their backgrounds.
"No wonder the other department students are terrified of their seniors," Daniel commented.
"So what are we supposed to do?"
"Wait for them to graduate," Betsy asked.
Sigh!
Jeremy let out a sigh.
"We should learn about Dean Carolyn. As long as we don't offend them, she will continue to support us. But if any incident occurs, I think she will take a neutral stand," Jeremy uttered.
"Hateful," Betsy Lowe said.
"We should not lose hope. If the Stiker Department does well, then she won't have any problem supporting us," Daniel said in an optimistic tone.
"Daniel is right. We should be optimistic. But if you guys face any problems, then inform me." After saying that, Jeremy stood up to leave.
Not long after he left, Daniel Stone and Betsy Lowe looked at each other.
"Brother Jeremy is right. We should focus on improving ourselves first. Only then can we help him," Daniel said.
About 10 minutes later,
Jeremy reached the joint training facility. He strode toward the training room. While walking, he observed the reactions of everyone.
He could see the students avoiding his gaze, and he knew why. Mostly, the students without strong backgrounds wanted to stay away from him.
He reached the training room. Seeing that it was available, he entered to practice.
The students from other departments who were training outside heaved a sigh of relief.
"Jeremy Night is a strong beast tamer!"
"Only senior students can pressure him. It's best for us not to get in his way."
"The department instructor said the same. The senior students are not even listening to their own department instructors."
"If we talk to Jeremy Night, then the senior students will target us."
The students from various departments discussed in low tones. They have been pressured by their seniors to target Jeremy Night, but in no way can they do that.
Jeremy Night is someone who has defeated S-Grade Talent. He can easily handle others.
What do you think?
