Chapter 854: 854: Holy Heart Knight

Chapter 854: Chapter 854: Holy Heart Knight

Charles felt a murderous rage brew within him, “Just win already; do you have to go and kill the Explosive Demon King too? That’s just damn disgusting.”

But Charles was oblivious to the fact that he had done similar things himself before.

If only he knew who the master of the Dragon Hunter was, Charles really wanted to go and snuff out the Dragon Hunter’s master personally.

Unfortunately, the Commerce Star platform did not reveal the identity of the item’s owner, so Charles had no way to find out, growing more and more angry as he thought about it.

“No, I won’t let it go like this, killing my Explosive Demon King. I must make sure your pet dies as well,” Charles was not willing to concede, but he couldn’t come up with any stronger Ascension Level pets.

He could look for a Nirvana Level pet to fight against his opponent, but even though the Commerce Star platform supported challenges across levels, the other party wasn’t a fool and would definitely not agree.

...

“I need to find an Ascension Pet that can take down the Dragon Hunter, but where could I find such a pet?” Charles’s eyes flickered with an idea, and he turned and left Commerce Star, heading back to Lion King Star.

Charles briskly made his way into the back garden of the Lion King Palace, where among the exotic flora, a large iron cage was strangely placed.

The large iron cage resembled those used in zoos to contain wild beasts, but the occupant inside was not some ferocious animal but a man from the Lion King Clan.

He was a typical Lion King Clan male with golden curly hair and a golden beard fringing his face.

Overall, he appeared very robust, as though he was a majestic lion lying there.

“Golia,” Charles stood in front of the cage and called out cautiously.

He called out just once and seeing no response from the man in the cage, he dared not call again, simply standing there watching.

After a while, the man sleeping inside the cage stretched lazily and finally woke up from his deep slumber, opening his eyes. His piercing blue eyes, akin to the sky, looked at Charles and asked, “Charles, what are you doing here?”

“Golia, I’ve found a really powerful Ascension Level creature. I’m sure it will interest you,” Charles said hastily.

“Not interested,” Golia sat up and looked at Charles indifferently.

Charles quickly took out the photo he had taken of the Dragon Hunter to show Golia, who stared at the Dragon Hunter intently, unable to take his eyes off the picture.

“Is this a person or an Ascended Creature?” Golia grabbed the photo and studied the Dragon Hunter within it intently.

“An Ascension Pet, right on the platform of Commerce Star. All you need is a formidable Ascension Pet to challenge and kill him,” Charles explained.

“You want to borrow my Holy Heart Knight?” Golia saw right through Charles’s intentions.

Charles quickly nodded, “My Explosive Demon King died at his hand, his blade was too fast, cutting the Explosive Demon King in two with a single stroke. Only your Holy Heart Knight can restrain him.”

Golia spoke nonchalantly, “The Holy Heart Knight can restrain him, but why should I lend him to you?”

“You don’t want to kill this guy?” Charles said. “He looks cooler and more stylish than you.”

“What did you say?” Golia suddenly stood up, his hands gripping the bars of the cage, his eyes fixated on Charles, veins popping on his hands.

The next second, Golia pulled hard with both hands. The cage, made of decaying materials and forged by a secret technique, was directly bent by Golia, creating a gap big enough for him to walk out of.

Golia leaped out of the cage and approached Charles, grabbing him by the neck and lifting him into the air.

Charles was quite tall, but next to Golia, he seemed as short as a dwarf.

“Brother, don’t be hasty, I just want to help you kill him…” Charles gasped, as if he was about to suffocate.

Golia stared at Charles for a while, then suddenly released his neck, letting Charles drop to the ground, then reached out and threw two things in front of Charles: “In this world, whether it’s a person or any other creature, no one is allowed to be cooler than me, kill him.”

“Got it, brother, leave it to me.” Charles picked up the Pet Capsule and Pet Key from the ground and said as he left the garden.

After leaving the garden, Charles let out a long sigh of relief and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

Although Golia was his own brother, Charles really didn’t want to meet that weirdo. If he hadn’t been unable to swallow his pride, he wouldn’t have sought out Golia.

“With the Holy Heart Knight, I’m certain we can take out that Dragon Hunter.” Charles was full of confidence, eager to fly to Commerce Star immediately to seek revenge.

Among the Ascension Level, the Holy Heart Knight was considered top of the top, particularly effective against fast and strong pets.

Although the Holy Heart Knight was named a knight, he had no mount. His entire body was clad in Heavy Armor, and with the Holy Armor Talent reinforcing him, no attack could break his defense at the Ascension Level.

Furthermore, with the Life Base’s talent skill “Holy Impact,” the Holy Heart Knight could move at a speed unreachable at the Ascension Level, perfectly countering the fast and powerfully destructive Dragon Hunter.

Of course, the “Holy Impact” talent required the use of the Life Base Heavy Cavalry Paladin.

Once Charles acquired the Holy Heart Knight, he rushed eagerly towards Commerce Star, but upon arrival, he found that the Dragon Hunter was engaged in battle and couldn’t be challenged.

After the Dragon Hunter defeated the Explosive Demon King, Lin Shen immediately earned a thousand Commerce Star Coins, which was no small sum of money.

After all, many Immortal Pets were priced at just a few hundred Commerce Star Coins. If he scraped together enough, a thousand Commerce Star Coins could buy two low-priced Immortal Pets.

“Indeed, this is the way to make money,” Lin Shen felt pleased and immediately sent the Dragon Hunter to challenge other Ascension Pets with bets on the line.

The bets on typical Ascension Pets were too low. Not to mention thousands of Commerce Star Coins, even hundreds were rare, and those betting a few dozen Commerce Star Coins were already considered wealthy.

Lin Shen targeted the big spenders, sending the Dragon Hunter to challenge the highest bidders.

Because the Dragon Hunter was a new face, estimated neither too low nor too high, leaving others unsure of his capabilities. After hesitating for a moment, they still accepted the Dragon Hunter’s challenge.

Super-Base Pets were extremely rare in the universe and had an overwhelming advantage within their level. With only the Dragon-cutting Blade, the Dragon Hunter easily ended the battle and won a bet of 78 coins.
