Chapter 275: Chapter 156: Video Broadcast_2

As soon as the drone entered the Persian Gulf, it spotted large oil tankers sailing across the sea from time to time, but Yan Fei’s target was not these oil vessels. He identified the direction and swiftly flew toward Qatar. However, the flight paths in the Persian Gulf waters were dense, unlike Iraq’s vast, sparsely populated lands, so the drone’s flight was somewhat restricted. Nevertheless, this did not stop the drone’s progress. It took half an hour, ten minutes more than expected, but it finally reached the Doha offshore waters of Qatar.

Yan Fei activated the Quantum Radar to scan the area and instantly identified the most famous building within the city area of Doha—the headquarters building of Al Jazeera English. It was now one o’clock in the morning, Doha’s local time, and the entire city had fallen into a deep sleep. However, the lights were still bright at the headquarters of Al Jazeera English; they were still producing news programs, broadcasting to their audience.

The viewership of Al Jazeera English was enormous, including not only people from the Middle East but also a large number of viewers from other countries. Western viewers also favored the programs from Al Jazeera English, which brought significant influence and economic benefits to the station. Due to the time difference around the Earth, it was deep into the night at the headquarters of Al Jazeera English in Doha, yet afternoon or evening for their Western viewers, which meant the television station did not rest but continued to broadcast news.

In the news studio of Al Jazeera English, Rahman, the news anchor clad in a traditional Arab robe, was earnestly delivering the news. Over the recent days, there had been a substantial standoff between The United States of America and Persia. The United States had called for the world to sanction Persia, but most countries rejected this, causing a significant loss of face for The United States. Nevertheless, the United States took a hard stance, vowing to carry out sanctions against Persia to the end, even if they were to go it alone.

And Persia, facing sanctions from The United States, also adopted a tough stance. Their most advantageous response was threatening to blockade the Hormuz Strait, the Persian Gulf’s outlet, preventing any oil tanker from entering or exiting the Persian Gulf waters. To achieve their respective political goals, both armies brought out their elite forces to conduct large-scale military exercises in the waters of the Persian Gulf. Neither side spoke of restraint, giving off an impression they might go to war at any moment.

As an oil-producing nation in the Persian Gulf, oil was the lifeblood of Qatar’s economy. Any fluctuations in the oil market could affect the country’s normal operations. Therefore, Al Jazeera English was very concerned about the military exercises in the Persian Gulf and whether Persia would blockade the Hormuz Strait, continuously broadcasting news on the friction between Persia and the US Forces.

...

Suddenly, a commotion erupted outside the news studio, and then Rahman saw several of his colleagues burst into the broadcast room, crashing into the adjacent glass walls and shattering them. Those colleagues rebounded onto the ground and after tumbling a few times, lay motionless, their fate unknown.

Then a tall, cloaked figure in black, towering to two meters, entered the broadcast room. A few workers inside the room, sensing trouble, moved to stop the masked giant. But the onlookers saw the giant pull out an automatic rifle slung on his back and start firing around the room as he pulled the trigger.

At the sound of gunfire, everyone in the room was terrified, all ducking under the tables to avoid the flying bullets—even Rahman, who was reading the news scripts, was no exception. All the workers scrambled to dodge bullets, no one able to shut off the video camera, and no one attended to the live news broadcast. As a result, viewers watching Al Jazeera English immediately noticed a change on television, perking up and watching closely. Some domestic viewers in Qatar even started making calls to Al Jazeera English to inquire about the situation.

The sudden intruder, a black-cloaked giant, was actually Yan Fei in disguise. Although he opened fire all around, he didn’t aim at the people in the news studio but at the walls. While he didn’t injure anyone, the effect was significant, as a burst of bullets brought the situation in the news studio under control.

Yan Fei dragged Rahman out from under the table. Rahman, trembling all over, continued to mutter, “God save us, God save us…”

Yan Fei said in English, “Do you want to die, or do you want to live?”

Rahman, who understood English, immediately replied in English, “Please spare me! I don’t want to die, I want to live!”

Yan Fei threw Rahman to the ground and said, “If you want to live, then immediately broadcast these two videos from this USB drive on your TV news, and also upload the content to your television station’s official website.”

Rahman was shocked in his heart. They at Al Jazeera English often received various videos through mail, which were then broadcasted through their station. But such a scenario was unprecedented—where the owner of the recordings personally came to demand their broadcast. However, he quickly reacted, nodding repeatedly and saying, “No problem, no problem, I’ll broadcast them right away.”

Al Jazeera English often received videos in the mail, and they would review these videos before deciding whether to broadcast them, so not all received videos made it to television. As per usual practice, a broadcast decision required the television station director’s signature for approval. Currently, the director was absent, so these videos could not be broadcasted.
